Popsicles and summer go hand in hand. Popsicles and my one-year-old
twin boys go poorly. But it’s summer and they want what their big sister
has. Short of using a hand-held mesh food bag that allows them to gnaw
on frozen fruit or letting them lick a popsicle while I hold it, I
haven’t found a way to let them enjoy one of summer’s best treats. Until
now. Zuko, the company who gave us the Quick Pop Maker, now offers Fish
Pop Molds. These pops are the perfect size for little hands.
There is just something about The Shire from J.R.R. Tolkien’s books that makes it so attractive. Perhaps it is the pastoral peacefulness. Perhaps it is the lush, green landscape with those cute Hobbit holes cut into the hillsides. Whatever it may be, to be able to fit into life in The Shire you need a nice pair of Hobbit feet — and you can with Hobbit Feet Socks.
Everyone’s recording video these days—from the phone in your hand to the GoPro strapped to your head—but that means there’s a lot of garbage being filmed, too. Now, a new piece of software from Carnegie Mellon University can automatically edit out the boring bits and allow you to watch just the interesting parts.
The Amazon Appstore already gives away one free app each day, but now it’s gone crazy and decided to give away 30 apps, worth a combined total of $100, for free to anyone with an Android phone. Here are the pick of the bunch that you should download first.
Amazon’s Gold Box is stuffed full of Sony flash storage today, including (drumroll) a rarely-discounted 16GB Vita memory card for $25.
Germany's green energy boom is leaving a 'trail of blood' on coal companies
Posted in: Today's Chili Since the beginning, the commercial growth of renewable energy has been a laborious, often painful matter of government pushes, tax incentives and campaigning for greater awareness. In Germany, however, the energy market is on the cusp of evolving to…
Remember FreFlow? Sony tested the concept of synchronized glow pens a couple of years ago at a few concerts in Japan, turning the audience into the spectacle (see the video below). Judging by a recent entry at the FCC, it looks like it’s set to go…
If people here on earth already fight over diamonds, imagine what they would do over one the size of the planet itself. That might actually be what David Kaplan and astronomers from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee have discovered, a dead star so cold that it might have crystalized over to become a literal gem in the sky. Instead of going supernova, … Continue reading
Pacific Rim and Del Toro fans should mark their calendars as early as now, or first get a 2017 calender in advance. Razer might be a name that most of us are familiar with when it comes to high quality game accessories, but it seems that the company is starting to look elsewhere in an effort to expand their market. Razer recently announced plans to roll out a Razer micro-console where this particular new device will be powered by Android TV, where it will gain the ability to stream movies, music and other apps in order to deliver large-screen entertainment in your living room, although it remains true to its heritage by placing a strong emphasis on gaming instead.
Android TV happens to be an entertainment interface which enables users to check out and enjoy content on their televisions, in the comfort of their own home. With the Razer micro-console, one will be able to navigate using a special mobile application which is capable of operating from any Android tablet or smartphone. Not only that, you might want to clear that throat of yours, since voice control is also built into Android TV, so that having access to entertainment is a matter of muttering a few words.
Basically, Razer intends for the micro-console to enhance the gaming experience on Android devices, and hear what Razer co-founder and CEO, Min-Liang Tan has to say about the micro-console, “This is a console of the future. Built on Google’s incredible Android TV platform, the Razer micro-console incorporates not only hardcore and casual gaming, but music, movies and other entertainment and social applications, all on an affordable system.”
So far, there is no word on how much the Razer micro-console will cost, and neither do we have any idea at all on the kind of hardware specifications that Razer will throw into the mix. We do know that it will arrive in a shade of black that many of us are familiar with, and we will have to wait until later this Fall for an official release, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
