Belgium hasn’t started brightly in its games at the 2014 World Cup. But the Red Devils sure know how to finish.
Teenage substitute Divock Origi helped Belgium seal a place in the Round of 16 at the 2014 World Cup by scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 win over Russia at Estadio do Maracana in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday. The lone goal of the match came in the 88th minute when Eden Hazard created a chance for Origi. The 19-year-old reserve forward ran onto the pass from Hazard and sent a right-footed shot past Russia goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev from just outside the six-yard box.

Even before global marketing campaigns, television commercials, and social media, a company’s logo has been important. Over time, as businesses and consumers have changed, most major companies have also changed their logos dramatically.
A couple of years ago we featured a Decepticon engagement ring that Gipson Diamond Jewelers made for a lucky bride-to-be. It turns out Gipson has an Etsy shop where you can get that same ring as well as two other Transformers-themed rings.
Both the Decepticon and Autobot rings are made of 14k gold and have a lab-grown chunk of moissanite on top. Check out my previous post if you want a closer look at the Decepticon ring. Here’s the Autobot design up close:
Gipson also has an Autobot wedding band, for couples who already Constructiconed as one:
Browser, roll out! Head to Gipson Diamond Jeweler’s Etsy shop to order the rings. They cost between $1,349 (USD) to $1,599 each.

Slingshot is Facebook’s second attempt at trying to jump onto the ephemeral messaging bandwagon. It’s basically a mashup of the disastrous Poke and Snapchat but with a twist – to unlock a message you’ve received, you need to send one back.
I’ve secretly desired a portable Bluetooth speaker for a while now, particularly the Beats Pill. But the problem was (and still is) that I can’t justify adding yet another wireless music streaming option to my relatively small abode, which is already…
The 2-in-1 isn’t a new platform, but it is a questionable one. Do you need a computer that snaps off into a tablet? The genre has its use cases, and Acer hopes to make a strong entry into the forum with their Aspire 10, a tablet-cum-computer offering that strikes a balance. With a 10-inch screen, the Aspire Switch 10 is … Continue reading
There are plenty of devices available in the market right now that let you stream content from a computer or a mobile device to a TV. Last year Google stepped into this arena as well with the Chromecast, a $35 HDMI dongle that’s powered by Android. For quite some time now there have been rumors that a Mozilla Chromecast competitor is in the pipeline and earlier this week the world got its very first look at Mozilla’s streaming device.
Christian Heilmann, a Mozilla developer, posted a picture on Twitter this week of what appears to be a nearly finished product. This project was supposedly meant to be under wraps for at least a few more weeks but since the photo was posted news about the device started to leak out.
The major difference between Chromecast and Mozilla’s Firefox Os powered competitor is going to be that the latter will embrace the concept of openness. Google’s dongle restricts certain kinds of content and is only compatible with select platforms. Mozilla’s device is reportedly going to be open to developers and may even bring streaming functionality to platforms like Windows Phone.
Gigaom got to play around with a prototype of this unnamed device which is apparently being shared “with a very small circle of developers” at this point in time. It is not known when this device is going to hit the market and in how many markets will it be sold, and for how much.

Back in December last year Netflix and Sony Pictures Television announced that the Breaking Bad spinoff “Better Call Saul” will be launched on the online streaming website exclusively for its subscribers in Europe and Latin America in 2014, after having aired on AMC in the U.S. AMC, the network behind Breaking Bad, has now delayed the release of this prequel until 2015. As a result its launch on Netflix has also been pushed by one year.
Its not all bad news though. AMC has also confirmed that it has renewed Better Call Saul for a second season. The network may have faith in the series given that its first season hasn’t even aired yet, so there’s really no way to judge how the public is going to receive it. However given Breaking Bad’s popularity, Better Call Saul is bound to attract interest from most of them.
The series stars Bob Odenkirk in the lead as Saul Goodman. Cameo appearances from main Breaking Bad characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are also expected. The first season will consist of ten episodes, the second will have a total of 13. Better Call Saul will be available for streaming on Netflix in the U.S. and Canada immediately after the season ends its run on AMC.
Breaking Bad fans will certainly have high expectations from this spinoff so the network would certainly want to take its time to make sure that everything is up to the mark.

There has been considerable speculation about the future of Google’s Nexus lineup. Recent reports suggest that the company is working on a new program called Android Silver which will feature premium devices. We have also heard rumors about the possibility of Google not launching a Nexus 6 smartphone next year. Though over the past few months there has been much talk about an upcoming Nexus tablet and it looks like that tablet may have finally made an appearance. The HTC-manufactured “Volantis” is believed to be an 8.9-inch Nexus tablet.
As per the information received by Android Police, the Volantis has an 8.9-inch 2,048×1,440 pixel resolution display, an NVIDIA Logan 64-bit Tegra K1 processor with 2GB RAM, 8 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 3 megapixel front camera, front-facing stereo speakers and 16/32GB onboard storage options.
The Volantis will apparently have a zero-gap aluminum construction with 8.91″x5.98″x0.31″ dimensions, weighing in at 418g. Wi-Fi and LTE variants are expected. The source reports that internally this tablet is referred to as the Nexus 9 and that the leaked image isn’t exactly a final rendering of the tablet.
As far as the actual design is concerned the Volantis seems to borrow a lot of design cues from the Nexus 5 and 2013 Nexus 7 tablet. But then again the purported specifications don’t seem to fit. For example one can’t make out the front-facing stereo speakers and the casing itself doesn’t look like one that’s fashioned from zero-gap aluminum construction.
It is claimed that the HTC Volantis a.k.a Nexus 9 will be priced at $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi variant. No official word as yet on when this tablet is going to hit the market but the report says it may pegged for an unspecified date in the fourth quarter of this year.
