The nearest Earth-like planet is only 16 light-years away from us. It has a mass that is more than five times the mass of the Earth and it orbits a red dwarf star that has half the mass and radius of our sun.
If you’ve previously paid for goods with Bitcoin or other digital currency in California, you’re technically a criminal — the state has long had a law requiring US dollars, even if it hasn’t been enforced. As of this weekend, though, you’re…
Having a ride on four wheels is one thing, but keeping it in pristine condition, not to mention fine working order, is another. I am quite sure that many of us would love to ensure that our vehicle is in tip top condition all the time, which would translate to servicing it at the appropriate intervals, not to mention sending it to the car wash from time to time. Another way to prolong the life of your ride is choosing where you park it, very carefully at that. Keeping it shaded away from the harsh glare and heat of the sun would definitely help, but during times when you are unable to avoid the sun, there is the $44.95 Custom Retractable Windshield Shades that helps keep the interior cooler than if it were to be fully exposed.
After all, getting into a sun-baked car is never a nice feeling, even more so when your steering wheel is so hot, you find it difficult to drive in the first few minutes until things cool down. Not only that, the Custom Retractable Windshield Shades ensures that it does away with the need to handle unwieldy, misshapen cardboard or pop-up screens, as this one-piece shade mounts directly to a windshield in a matter of minutes thanks to adhesive pads. Dual stainless steel tension springs would then let one pull the shade across the windshield, taking just a single smooth motion to get the job done. It is said to block up to 90% of sunlight, reducing the interior temperature of a vehicle by up to 60º F and helping to prevent fading and cracking of its upholstery and dashboard. For winter, there are other kinds of windshield accessories to choose from.

Miley Cyrus has a new love in her life — and he’s utterly adorable.
“I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago,” the “Wrecking Ball” singer wrote Saturday in a caption that accompanied this precious Instagram snap. “Been keepin him a secret cause sometimes I’m weird like that.”
In April, Cyrus mourned the loss of her beloved dog Floyd, who died while she was on tour. She said at the time she was “broken” following his death. “This is unbearable. What am I gonna do without him?”
The singer said Saturday that it’s “taken some time” for her to be ready to welcome a new furry friend into her heart.
“Never will I replace Floyd and that’s something I had to take time to understand,” she wrote on Instagram. “I prayed to Floyd to just give [Emu] a touch of his awesomeness and he has.”
This is the second dog that Cyrus has welcomed into her life since Floyd’s passing. The first pooch — a puppy named Moonie who was gifted to her by her mom shortly after Floyd’s death — was given away by the 21-year-old singer, who said in April that she just didn’t know if she was “ready to love again.”
Her new puppy Emu, however, is “here to stay,” Cyrus promised her fans Saturday.
“I feel like this is a new beginning in so many ways,” she said on Instagram.
Cyrus is also the proud owner of a number of other pups, including Bean, a chihuahua mix, and Happy, a Rottweiler-beagle mix.
Mexico's Giolazo Was Every Bit As Amazing As Miguel Herera's Celebration (VIDEOS)
Posted in: Today's ChiliGiovani Dos Santos did the impossible at the World Cup: He scored a goal for Mexico every bit as impressive as the sideline celebration of the team’s coach.
With Mexico and the Netherlands scoreless in the early minutes of the second half of a Round of 16 clash at Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza on Saturday, Dos Santos conjured an impressive opening goal. The 25-year-old forward entrusted with Mexico’s No. 10 shirt, managed to get off a blistering left-footed shot while surrounded by a trio of Dutch defenders outside of the penalty area. The low drive beat diving Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to the corner near his left post and gave Mexico a 1-0 lead.

'Transformers: Age Of Extinction' Crushes Weekend Box Office With $100 Million Opening
Posted in: Today's ChiliLOS ANGELES (AP) — “Transformers: Age of Extinction” is ruling the box office.
The fourth installment in filmmaker Michael Bay’s morphing robots series earned $100 million in North America during its opening weekend, making it the biggest debut for a movie this year, according to studio estimates Sunday, bumping “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and its $95 million debut. The Paramount blockbuster also earned $201.3 million from 37 international territories, specifically making $90 million in China, where “Age of Extinction” was partially filmed and co-produced by partners like state-owned China Film Group.
“Age of Extinction” stars Mark Wahlberg and Nicola Peltz as a human father and daughter who aid the shape-shifting robots from the Hasbro toy franchise. The sequel introduces the popular Transformers based on the likenesses of dinosaurs.
“I think putting Mark Wahlberg front and center accomplished what we wanted to do, and that’s re-energize the franchise,” Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore said. “He appeals to audiences, both critically and as an action star.”
“Age of Extinction” topped the previous entry in the series, “Dark of the Moon,” which took in $97.8 million during its opening weekend in 2011, but failed to eclipse the $108.9 million debut of the second film, “Revenge of the Fallen.”
The first three “Transformers” films starred Shia LaBeouf as a teenager who befriends alien robots Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) and Bumblebee. The original 2007 film made $70.5 million and went on to gross $319.2 million.

Netherlands Stuns Mexico With Late Goals To Reach World Cup Quarterfinals (VIDEO)
Posted in: Today's ChiliOrange is the new color of heartbreak for Mexico.
With El Tri just minutes from clinching a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup, the Netherlands scored two late goals to flip the scoreline for a 2-1 win in a gripping round of Round of 16 at Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza on Saturday. Mexico grabbed a 1-0 lead early in the second half through Giovani Dos Santos and the heroics of goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa made it seem that lone score would be all that was needed.
Reserve forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored the winning goal on a penalty kick in stoppage time to send the Netherlands into the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Cup. The penalty was awarded by referee Pedro Proenca when Dutch striker Arjen Robben went down after contact from Mexico defender Rafael Marquez in stoppage time.

NEW YORK (AP) — Gay Pride parades are stepping off around the world, in cities large and small.
In the U.S., rainbow flags line the streets of New York City’s Fifth Avenue. Politicians including Gov. Andrew Cuomo (KWOH’-moh) and Mayor Bill de Blasio (dih BLAH’-zee-oh) are among those walking along a lavender line painted on the avenue from midtown Manhattan to the West Village. Marchers are commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots, which are credited with launching the modern gay rights movement.
In Chicago, about 1 million people are expected at this year’s Gay Pride Parade. It’s the first since Illinois’ same-sex marriage law went into effect. Chicago’s parade is also in its 45th year.
Parades are planned Sunday from coast to coast. Festivals were held Saturday in France, Spain, Mexico and Peru.
