Its a big win for the virtual currency community. One of the biggest PC manufacturers on the planet has just opened up to Bitcoin. Dell will now start accepting Bitcoin as payment for all sales made online in the U.S. The company has partnered with Coinbase to make this happen. Not only is it Coinbase’s biggest client as yet, it has also become the largest e-commerce merchant to accept the popular virtual currency we all know as Bitcoin.

The Alienware line of products can also be purchased using Bitcoin and in order to give customers an incentive to use virtual currency, Dell will soon kick off a special Alienware promotion in which it will give customers 10 percent off a new Alienware system purchase provided that they use Bitcoin to pay.

Coinbase says that it has partnered closely with Dell to implement Bitcoin payments on Dell.com in just two weeks. Additional Bitcoin features are also promised which the company says will be implemented in a few weeks.

Even though many have eyed virtual currencies with uncertainty Bitcoin has established itself as one of the most popular virtual currency. Many online retailers have already opened up to it, apart from the fact that countless online services now allow people to pay via Bitcoin.

Here Is About 2 Minutes Of Flies Getting Capped With A Plastic Gun That Shoots Salt

World hunger. Climate change. Poverty. These are problems that the human race has struggled with and failed to address adequately.

House flies? Pssht. Got that covered.

This is video of the Bug-A-Salt, a plastic gun that shoots table salt at flies.

It was successfully crowdfunded a few years ago, now you can buy one for real. Does it not warm the very cockles of your heart that humanity could come together and accomplish something great like this?

Where else but America would a love of guns and hatred of house flies inspire such a novel solution?

If you have one, please use it as intended, lest your salt-encrusted man cave becomes a den of woe when some total genius inevitably takes a salt shot to the eye.

TCA Awards Honor 'Veep' & 'True Detective,' Says A Final Goodbye To 'Breaking Bad'

On Saturday, July 19, Terry Crews hosted the non-televised TCA Awards alongside Ms. Piggy. John Kerry: Drunken Soldiers Unceremoniously Piling MH17 Bodies

WASHINGTON — U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry didn’t hold back Sunday in his criticism of the crash site cleanup after Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down in eastern Ukraine Thursday. Pro-Russian separatists in the area have reportedly removed nearly 200 bodies and denied access to international investigators.

“Drunken — I mean literally, drunken — separatist soldiers are piling bodies into trucks unceremoniously and disturbing the evidence,” Kerry said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“Airplane parts have been removed,” Kerry continued. “We need full access and this is a moment of truth for Russia. Some of the leaders of the separatists are Russians. Russia arms these separatists. Russia trains these separatists. Russia supports these separatists. Russia has refused to call on them publicly to do the things that need to be done.”

A rebel leader said Sunday that recovered bodies have been loaded into refrigerated train cars for holding until an international aviation delegation arrives.

Fox host Chris Wallace pressed Kerry on whether President Barack Obama’s administration would impose tougher penalties on Russia or increase military assistance to Ukraine, since Kerry and other officials have strongly implied that Russian President Vladimir Putin bears blame for the tragedy. The Pentagon has said that Russians likely helped the separatists in eastern Ukrainian obtain and operate the missile system that allegedly shot down the plane.

Kerry said additional sanctions are possible.

“We’re currently in discussions with our European allies precisely with respect to what the next steps will be,” Kerry said. “And rather than shoot from the hip, the president is going to do this in a thoughtful way where it’s one day, two days later. We’re just gathering more facts. And I think it takes facts for responsible leadership. So that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Rick Perry Has Been Going To Iowa A Lot Lately

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Texas Gov. Rick Perry is visiting Iowa for the fourth time in eight months, hoping for a second chance to win over Republican voters who delivered him a stinging caucus loss when he ran for president two years ago.

Perry, 64, hasn’t said if he plans to run again in 2016. But he’s clearly considering it, and is meeting Saturday and Sunday with veterans and conservative activists in the northern Iowa communities of Algona and Clear Lake. “Our nominee normally has done this more than once. I think this goes back to that issue of experience. Experience matters and by and large it helps,” Perry said Saturday evening, during a break from greeting the more than 200 people gathered for a dinner at Algona High School. “America is all about giving second chances,” he added.

Perry has been raising funds for GOP candidates and seeking advice from political insiders since November. He is signaling that he’s committed to the grassroots politicking that Iowa’s Republican faithful expect and that many felt he didn’t prioritize when he ran two years ago.

Whether Iowa voters give Perry a second chance remains to be seen. GOP activist Julie Clark of Estherville said she thought Perry — a relatively late entry into the 2012 race — could make a comeback in the state whose caucus kicks off the presidential primary season. Clark helped organize the Algona event.

“He’s a successful governor and a lot of people here liked him when he was running. We’re pretty conservative,” Clark said of voters in northern Iowa. “We would have supported him to the end.”

But Connie Schmett, a longtime Republican party activist from Clive, isn’t convinced. Although she likes Perry personally, she said she just can’t see herself supporting him in a second bid for president after his ruinous debate performances.

“I love him to death, but I just can’t,” said Schmett. “You cannot undo that impression. And that’s sad.”

The crowd Saturday night responded enthusiastically to Perry’s roughly 15-minute speech. Perry heaped praise on his fellow GOP governors, especially Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, and forcefully criticized President Barack Obama’s response to the recent flood of unaccompanied child immigrants that has overwhelmed authorities in Texas.

“We know how to secure the border. If the federal government will not do its duty then I will suggest to you that the state of Texas will,” said Perry, as the crowd leapt to their feet in applause.

Perry became Texas’ governor in 2000 when then-Gov. George W. Bush became president. He has been elected to full four-year terms three times — becoming the longest-serving governor in Texas history — but is not seeking re-election next year.

Perry’s last presidential campaign began with great promise but quickly faltered. He parachuted into the race relatively late, in August 2011, but swiftly went from being a front-runner to an also-ran because of a series of gaffes and poor debate performances — most notably his “oops” moment, when he could only list two of the three federal agencies he said he would close if elected president.

Perry aides have said he simply wasn’t prepared when he entered the last presidential race, which was already well underway. They blamed his poor debate showings on a busy schedule — Perry was wrapping up a Texas legislative session — and pain medication he was taking following recent back surgery.

After finishing fifth in the Iowa caucus and sixth in New Hampshire’s primary, Perry quit the race.

“I was disappointed for him. He didn’t have as good of a showing as he could have or should have,” said Hamilton County GOP chairman Mark Greenfield, who backed Perry in 2012.

Greenfield said he wasn’t sure that he would support Perry again, but said the governor is making the right moves for another run.

“Definitely the grassroots are what wins the caucuses and getting here early, that makes a huge difference,” Greenfield said.

Several other prominent Republicans are also testing Iowa’s political waters, including New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who visited the state Thursday, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

Although it may be hard for Perry to overcome the image he left voters with two years ago, his supporters say it’s possible.

Robert Haus, who advised Perry in Iowa in 2012 and is doing so again, said the governor has the opportunity to do things differently this time. He said Perry is coming to stump for Iowa candidates, to speak to activists and better get to know the state. Perry will be back in early August for a forum sponsored by an influential conservative policy group.

“I think the luxury he has now that he didn’t have in 2011 and 2012 is time. By his own admission, he got in late,” Haus said. “I think people are very open to second chances. I think the measure of a candidate is what you do after adversity. Do you curl up or do you learn from your mistakes?”

xbox one hands on review 05 640x425

When the Xbox One console was released back in November some customers were not to happy to find out that the console’s Blu-ray player couldn’t play 3D Blu-rays. Its not that the hardware wasn’t capable of doing this, it was a software thing. Fortunately Microsoft has now thought that its about time this feature was opened up. The company has confirmed that Xbox One 3D Blu-ray support is coming through a software update in August. Xbox One gets that feature ahead of the PlayStation 4 which still can’t play 3D Blu-rays.

Apart from this the August Xbox One update is also going to bring a handful of social features. The Activity Feed interface will change to a single column scrolling list which is larger and would include more content. Users get the ability to post text on their feed, like and comment on feed items, share game clips and more. Each users gets a personal feed on their profile.

A rather simple feature that has been missing from the console comes in the next update. Microsoft says it was one of the most requested features from the Xbox One community. A notification will now pop up when the controller’s battery is getting low. Users will also be able to turn off notifications during video playback.

Using Xbox SmartGlass or Xbox.com users can now puchase games as well as add-on content remotely. If the Xbox One is set to automatically take updates the content will begin downloading right after its purchase, even if the owner is not at home.

Other features include the expansion of OneGuide in Brazil, Mexico, Austria and Ireland and a “last seen” time in Friends list which shows how long it has been since a friend was online. The update will be released to those who get early access by next week. All Xbox One owners will get the update in August.

BlackBerry Passport Video Shows Off Touch Enabled Keyboard

BlackBerry has got people talking with whatever information it has shared about its upcoming high-end smartphone called the BlackBerry Passport. So far the company has unveiled some of the major features that this device has, including but not limited to a touch enabled keyboard. A video has been posted online which stars a leaked unit of the Passport and it gives us an idea of how webpages render on the device’s square display and more importantly how the keyboard can be used to scroll.

The company itself has detailed the touch enabled keyboard on the Passport in a lengthy blog post. It has never been done before on a BlackBerry so it would be something new for the fans of this company. Combine that with BlackBerry’s predictive typing technology and users might be in for a wonderful typing experience.

BlackBerry also revealed recently that the Passport is going to have a 3,450mAh battery, one of the largest out there, so users wouldn’t need to be wall huggers. The device has four microphones which aim to provide the best call experience by picking up ambient noise and adjusting voice call levels accordingly.

The video provides a good look at the Passport’s design as well which is nothing if not unconventional. Its a square device with the best display yet on a BlackBerry. Do take a look and let us know if this device has peaked your interest.
