GTA 4 Sports Watch Dogs Mod

When it comes to a game like Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 4, there has been mods released for it in the past. We have seen a GTA 4 Flappy Bird mod that is totally whacked out, and here we are with a really well done Watch Dogs mod for the very same title, and the verdict so far from those who have tried it out? Simply superb.

At least this particular mod would have answered all nagging questions that have have concerning the possibility of crossing Watch Dogs alongside Grand Theft Auto 4. This particular Watch Dogs mod for GTA 4 was specially developed for the PC version of the Rockstar game. As you can watch in the video above, the Watch Dogs mod would throw cyber criminal Aiden Pearce right smack into Liberty City, where he will be able to showcase a rather wide repertoire of hacking the likes of payphones, ticket machines, ATMs, wall lights, trains, traffic lights, road blocks, cameras, soda pop machines and even trip the alarm of parked cars.

Pretty impressive, don’t you think so? Just bear in mind that this mod has been inspired by the Watch Dogs title, and is not an exact copy, and do expect to see some bugs in it since nothing is perfect in this world.

First Dozen Amiibo Figures Confirmed For UK Debut

new amiibo ukIn June this year, Nintendo made an announcement concerning their Amiibo interactive figures which did carry hope for the Japanese gaming company to be able to claw its way back to the top of the game, but somehow the reception to the idea has been pretty lukewarm, judging by sentiments on the ground. Having said that, for those of you living in the U.K., we have word that the first twelve Amiibo figures have been confirmed, and they will comprise of Mario (but of course!), Peach, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Kirby, Fox, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.

It is said that these Amiibo figures will roll out later this winter season, where Super Smash Bros. for Wii U would have the honor of being the very first title that offers complete Amiibo integration. What about some of the other games that will be able to support the Amiibo? They would include the likes of the hugely successful Mario Kart 8, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Mario Party 10 and Yoshi’s Woolly World. We look forward to an official Amiibo launch date to be announced soon. Assuming Amiibo were to be an unqualified success, do you think that Sony and Microsoft would want to take a similar approach for their respective consoles? [Press Release]

Xbox One System Update Starts Rolling Out

xbox one hands on review 02 640x406If you happen to own the Xbox One from Microsoft, then you might want to take note that the console’s September update had started to roll out already – never mind the fact that there are still a couple of days left to go through after today before September comes a-knockin’ on our doors. This particular system update for the Xbox One would see the introduction of a new media player app for the console, and should roll out gradually in the course of the coming days.

Microsoft started to test the most recent update earlier in August, where apart from the brand new media player app that is capable of supporting the likes of the MKV format, animated GIFs and DNLA, there will also be the inclusion of new party features, new SmartGlass features, and the ability to boot straight to TV, among others.

Not forgetting”Xbox On” capabilities rolling out in Australia, Canada (French), Italy, Spain, and Mexico, where these newly mentioned regions will now allow Xbox One owners to make use of the “Xbox On” Kinect voice command to turn their consoles from being in connected standby (Instant On) mode. It is not one feature that will get old easily, this I can attest to! Have you received your Xbox One system update already if you happen to reside in a country that supports it? If not, just play the patience card for the moment. [Press Release]

Aside from its instantly recognizable chassis, Adafruit’s Mini Mac Pi also runs System 7 aka Mac OS 7, thanks to a software emulator called Mini vMac. This enables it to run classic Mac apps, though it’s probably going to be a pain to work on its cute display. Another notable feature of the Mini Mac Pi is that its front and rear panels are secured by magnets, making it easy to assemble and repair.

Head to Adafruit to find out how you can build a Mini Mac Pi. If you just want the cute Mac body, you can get the 3D file from Adafruit’s Thingiverse page.
