Gamer’s Home Raided By Police

30 CSGO7What started out as an ordinary day of gaming for Jordan Mathewson, who goes by the handle ‘Kootra’ when gaming online, turned out rather unexpectedly as his office which was located near Denver, happened to see some guests barge in unexpectedly. These guests were armed police, and to make matters more embarrassing, the entire incident was broadcast live online.

Jordan Mathewson was enjoying himself in a round of Counter-Strike, playing the Kootra persona, when several officers barged into his office and arrested him. Mathewson was released later on without being charged, or so we learned from ABC News. Apparently, this particular mix up came about as a hoax – at least according to the police officers who are now working hard to trace the alleged hoax call that targeted Mathewson, leading to such rough arm tactics in the first place.

The Littleton Police Department shared, “The caller claimed to have shot two co-workers, held others hostage, and threatened to shoot them. He stated that if the officers entered he would shoot them as well. There were no victims or any evidence that a shooting had taken place. If the investigation determines that today’s incident was a hoax, those involved will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Smart GasWatch Scale Provides Peace Of Mind When Grilling

gaswatch 640x640If you like to entertain family and friends over in your backyard through numerous BBQ sessions, then I am quite sure one of the more indispensable products that you will ever own in such an environment would be the Smart GasWatch Scale. It will deliver peace of mind for you to ensure that the BBQ grill will remain fired up in the summer, as well as inform you as to whether there is adequate levels of propane gas left available in a tank when it comes to warming up your outdoor patio when the mercury falls in winter.

While those with a soft spot for nostalgia can always check out the original GasWatch Model TVL212, that can actually still be purchased – analog gauge and all, perhaps it is time to move on to something else that will be able to keep up with the times.

The Smart GasWatch Scale basically solves an extremely frustrating issue, that is, you know that you are about to run out of propane in the middle of a cookout, giving you the opportunity to run out and purchase some more propane, or get the spare tank from the cabinet. This device delivers a real-time calculation of remaining cooking time, as well as audible alerts at the 20%, 15% and 10% remaining fuel levels. It does its measuring through tank weight, which means the level of accuracy is uncanny, not to mention it being safe to use. [Press Release]

ButterUp will let you spread cold butter on bread

ButterUP

If you enjoy eating bread and butter that is a genuine dairy product (none of that ICan’tBelieveIt’sNotFood stuff), then you know that there is a bit of process involved in combining the two. Your toast must either be hot enough for the cold butter to melt, or the butter must be at room temperature to be able to spread. Seeing that you don’t want a melted pile of butter sitting in a bowl on the counter, the best place to keep it is in the fridge. However, if you don’t time things correctly, you can’t immediately get out your butter and put it on bread.

It’s taken all these years on Earth, but finally the ButterUp exists. Being an avid toast fan, the first time I saw this a Hallelujiah chorus sang out to the heavens as I realized its potential. This is a knife that has a built-in grater on a wide blade which will allow you to “aerate and soften” the butter, which makes it easy to spread. The easier butter is to move around means you’ll also be putting less of it on. Made of stainless steel with either a satin or polished finish, this is safe to go in the dishwasher.

It’s a simple idea, but seems ingenious. There are of course, other ways to deal with cold butter, but this $11 purchase might just be tempting enough to buy. This may be a crowdfunding campaign, but it has reached its goal seven times over. There’s always some measure of risk with these types of products, but this one seems like a pretty safe bet. Go out there and enjoy as much dairy-slathered toast as you can comfortably consume.

Available for crowdfunding on Kickstarter
