Xbox One SmartGlass App Can Now Be Used To Record Gameplay

xbox one hands on review 05 640x425

Over the past few months Microsoft has spent a lot of time and resources in improving the SmartGlass app for Xbox One. A recent update brought a couple of new features to the app which were no doubt appreciated by Xbox One owners around the globe. Today yet another update for this app has been released, which is available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone. Xbox One SmartGlass app has now gained the ability to record gameplay.

What this means is that gamers will be able to record gameplay clips using the application. The process becomes a lot easier particularly for those who don’t own a Kinect. Only recently Microsoft started selling the Xbox One without Kinect.

Moreover the app can now be used to view activity feed of a profile as well as post status updates and share content. OneGuide and new TV features are also onboard. These features were previously only available to those who had access to the beta which was rolled out in limited numbers.

Today though all of these features have been added to the final versions of the apps for all platforms on which SmartGlass is available, that’s Microsoft’s own Windows Phone, Android and iOS. The app is available for download now from Windows Phone Market, Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store.
