Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 Leaked

thinkpad helix2It goes without saying that the number of leaks where new and upcoming devices are concerned these days tend to be greater in number compared to previous years, and most of the time, before a particularly new and hotly anticipated consumer electronic device is released, the masses more or less already know how it looks like, in addition to the kind of hardware specifications that it comes with, thanks to prior leaks. Well, IFA 2014 that kicks off in Berlin, Germany, next week is sure to see a slew of new devices revealed, but it would not hurt to have a little bit of additional information beforehand, right? Apparently the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 has been leaked, alongside the IdeaPad S8.

Word has it that there will be a new 8” Android-powered tablet alongside an updated version of the ThinkPad Helix 2-in-1 Ultrabook with an 11.6” tablet segment. Details concerning the ThinkPad Helix 2 are pretty scant, but it does seem as though Lenovo will offer a trio of different keyboard docking options for this upcoming model.

First of all, there is a basic keyboard dock, a Pro keyboard that comes with a Lenovo TrackPoint system and a standard touchpad; with and a Powerbase Keyboard that will boast of an integrated battery that ought to help your tablet last a whole lot longer. All of that will be accompanied by 8GB RAM, and up to a 256GB SSD, alongside a Full HD display. No idea on the kind of processor that runs underneath the hood though, and neither do we have a clue on pricing and availability details.
