A game like Diablo 3 will not grow old too fast, and with the introduction of patches from time to time, it will get more balanced out eventually, closing the doors to any kind of potential abuse (or workarounds) by gamers who have a knack for sniffing out weaknesses in a game’s mechanism in order to take full advantage of it. Well, as promised, Diablo 3’s Patch 2.1.0 has already gone live over in Europe, and as part of the celebrations of this major content update, all players who actually log into Diablo 3 this week on a Windows or Mac machine will be on the receiving end of a +100% bonus to Gold Find.
Just in case that does not make you all that excited, there is more. All Treasure Goblin spawns in the game would also have seen a population boom, having doubled along the way. The bonus Gold Find and double Treasure Goblin period will kick off in the Europe region first on August 27 after maintenance, and Blizzard will call time on it on Tuesday September 2 at 11:59 p.m. CEST.

We reported last month that actress Lindsay Lohan has filed a lawsuit against GTA V creator Rockstar for allegedly basing a character on her without her permission. Lohan wasn’t the only one who made such a claim. A daughter of a mob boss also claimed that Rockstar used her life-story and her likeness without seeking permission. Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two Interactive has hit now, claiming in a new legal filing that Lohan has filed this lawsuit primarily for “publicity purposes.”
In her lawsuit, Lindsay Lohan claimed that the GTA V character Lacey Jonas was modeled after her, and that Jonas has been styled after Lohan’s own clothing line. It was also claimed that the character looks and talks like Lohan.
Take-Two has termed this as a frivolous lawsuit, claiming that the actress is only out to gain publicity. They’ve pled to the court to throw the lawsuit out and order Lohan to pay their legal fees.
As far as modeling Lacey Jonas after Lindsay Lohan is concerned, Take-Two claims that they haven’t used the star’s likeness or voice. Instead it says that the only similarity between the two is that they’re both young, blonde women.
There hasn’t been a response from Lohan’s lawyer as yet and the court will take its time to decide whether or not the lawsuit should be thrown out.

Mention sapphire displays these days and people will think you’re talking about the iPhone 6. For the past few months it has been consistently rumored that Apple’s next generation smartphone is going to have a sapphire display. While there’s no confirmation of that, rumors about another smartphone with a sapphire display have turned out to be true. Huawei have confirmed that it will soon be releasing the Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition.
The smartphone had already been confirmed yesterday by a Huawei executive who even showcased the device during an interview. The company’s PR wheels were then set in motion which also confirmed the existence of Huawei Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition.
It was confirmed to GSMArena that this particular smartphone will be released in China soon. The fact that Huawei only talks about releasing the Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition in China probably means that it will be manufactured in limited numbers. Since Huawei is a Chinese company we can expect its homeland to get special treatment.
Huawei also confirmed another detail about this smartphone, that it has support for 4G LTE. Its possible that the device will be compatible with China Telecom’s network down in the People’s Republic. Huawei hasn’t talked pricing so we’ll have to wait for that information, but its highly likely that you’ll have to import one from China if you want an Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition.

Fans of the popular sci-fi series Doctor Who will love this latest development. As part of a deal between BBC Worldwide, Microsoft Studios and Mojang, a range of Doctor Who assets will be released for Minecraft on Xbox 360. Characters from the series will become “Blocktor Who” according to the BBC on Minecraft come September.
The Doctor Who themed packs that will be released for Minecraft next month will include character skins as well as various other assets that have been crafted based on the popular show. Players will be able to change their avatar to resemble their favorite characters from Doctor Who.
The first pack of assets includes characters inspired by the Twelfth Doctor, as well as five other Doctors, and will also include their on-screen companions. Some of their well known adversaries will also be present, including but not limited to the Daleks. This pack is priced at $2.99.
This deal between BBC Worldwide and the developers doesn’t end here. Over time more packs will be released which will introduce many of the instantly recognizable characters from the 50-year rich history of Doctor Who. There will be at least six Doctors in each skin pack and the releases will be timed after Series 8 episodes are aired.
A concrete release date for the first pack hasn’t been revealed but fortunately we only have to wait until next month before it finally lands.
