Milk Music Comes With New Dial Design

milkbeatsDo you find it a snap for your radio streaming service to locate the kind of music that you generally favor? If you answered in the negative, then you might want to check out Milk Music, as this radio streaming service will offer a wide range of music to suit all tastes, but it is also a snap to enjoy music in just the way you like it. Sporting an intuitive and convenient user interface, Milk Music will boast of features such as 13,000,000 million songs to choose from – which means there is hardly any excuse that “there’s nothing nice to listen to on radio”.

Apart from that, you also get to experience other kinds of music that you would never have had the chance to in the first place if you kept to the commercial Top 40 hits and all that jazz. Going through all 13 million songs could prove to be quite a mountain to climb, and Milk Music has “solved” this issue with Dial Design, as it offers an intuitive and natural way to listen to music.

The Dial will sport an inner rim and outer rim, where individual rim will turn at different speeds. Being responsive, you get to experience haptic feedback as you turn it. The outer rim will scan for music stations in double quick time, while the inner rim will be used for more precise scanning through stations.

In a nutshell, Milk Music, being a streaming radio service, will let you tune in to your choice of music at the same time making it a snap to discover new music on your own. If you haven’t given it a go already, perhaps you might want to check it out. [Press Release]

Nokia Lumia 730 And Lumia 735 Spotted (Rumor)

lumia 73x leakEarlier this month, we did manage to get hold on some images that leaked out, touting that those images held what could very well be the first close look at the upcoming Superman – or rather, the Nokia Lumia 730. Sony might have their own selfie phone, the Xperia C3, and Nokia does not look as though they would want to miss out on all of the fun, either. After all, the Lumia 730 is said to arrive with a high-quality 5MP front-facing camera.

Additional images of the Lumia 730 have surfaced at the end of the week, which gives us a clearer picture on how the entire handset will look like. Spotted in black and white shades for the very first time, it does share some design cues that were inspired from early Lumia Windows Phone handsets including the Lumia 800 and Lumia 900. Not only that, there will be two different variants available – the Lumia 730 Dual-SIM and the Lumia 735 4G.

Do take note that there does not seem to be any dedicated hardware camera button of sorts, and in addition to that, there will also be no Back, Start and Search buttons on the front, taking into account on-screen ‘soft keys’ instead. Are you looking forward to this upcoming mid-range smartphone from Nokia?

PuppyCat Talking Plush blurs the line ‘tween a dog and a cat

puppycat_talking_plushOver the few years, we have seen our fair share of talking plush toys – and they have always provided the recipient with a time of enjoyment, make no mistake about it. In fact, some science fiction series such as Doctor Who has also offered a talking plush of its own before that arrived in the form of the K-9 Talking Plush. What we have here is something that would definitely leave us scratching our heads in unison – is it a dog, or a cat, or both? You go figure yourself with the $24.99 PuppyCat Talking Plush.

Yes, the name itself is bound to raise questions, but after spending some time with this talking plush that comes with an actual metal bell, you might not be too bothered about just what kind of plush animal this is, and cuddle up with it every night before you sleep. Squeeze his ear, and your PuppyCat Talking Plush will start to say or sing one of two phrases. As to exactly what kind of words are being “spoken”, that remains to be interpreted, so it would be best to make use of your imagination in this manner. This is an officially licensed Bee and PuppyCat plush, where it is made out of 100% polyester with a real metal bell. Unfortunately, the internal batteries are non-replaceable, so it will end up mute one of these days.

Underworld Movie is Getting a Reboot with Same Producers

Reboots are nothing new in Hollywood these days, and honestly I rather like many of them. I like it when they take some of my favorite films, change them up, and toss them out there again. I particularly think Daniel Craig in the new James Bond films are a fantastic reboot and I have liked the Spiderman reboots as well.

Another film that I liked the first time around was Underworld with Kate Beckinsale. After the first film, the others did leave something to be desired. Still, word is that the franchise is getting a reboot.

The reboot is tipped to be in the works with the producers from the original films, Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg. Those two people produced all of the other films in the franchise. The writer for the script is Cory Goodman. The film is expected to be the Underworld: Next Generation movie that was announced earlier this year, and will likely focus on Selene’s hybrid daughter, Eve.

Doctor Loo Offers Tmie Lords A Respite From Their Full Bladders

tardis restroomBeing a Time Lord might sound extremely glamorous, but do remember that even being able to travel through time is not going to do much if you happen to suffer from a full bladder. After all, I am quite sure that we are more than familiar with the saying, “When you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go!” For those who are in the UK, you might want to drop by the Warmley Waiting Room Cafe that comes with outfitted a replica Tardis, not to mention this Tardis sports a Victorian-style bathroom.

This rather quaint cafe and tea house is located along the bicycle path from Bristol to Bath in the U.K. I suppose it does serve up some decent grub such as baked bread, coffee, cakes, and sandwiches, but chances are the life-size Tardis toilet would be the main attraction for any tourist – as well as locals, and basically anyone else who is interested in the Doctor Who series.

Building the Doctor Loo required Justin Hoggars, the owner of the Warmley Waiting Room, to pick up a full-size replica Tardis, before doing some extensive renovation work within to transform a time traveling box into that of a Victorian-style bathroom. It will be fitted with a toilet, a sink with hot and cold water, and a hand dryer, all the creature comforts of a bladder or tummy in distress.

Fuji Xerox Printed Delivers Documents Right To Your Desk

fujixerox printer 640x640I am quite sure that for many of us who happen to work in a traditional office setup can so identify with the following – our computers are connected to a network printer, so each time that we hit the Print button on our respective computers, we will have to wait for a while (if the printer has decent speed) and then walk over to the printer in order to pick up whatever has been printed. How about letting someone send over the printed documents to you? That would be the role of your personal assistant at the moment if you happen to wear a managerial hat, but how about letting a robot do that for you? This is what Fuji Xerox has done, having worked on a new robotic printer which is capable of moving around to deliver documents to the person who printed it.

Meant to be used mainly in public spaces, it is one way of keeping the sensitive documents away from prying eyes. However, I do hope that whatever is printed will be stored in some sort of secure “safe” that can only be unlocked by a special PIN that is sent by the printer to the person who printed the documents. After all, who are we to say that no one is going to hijack the printed documents that are en route to your desk?

There are also sensors integrated into this unique printer to stop it from bumping into people and other objects as it waltzes its way through.

The Nike+ Running App will play nice with the recently announced Samsung Gear S, where this app will make use of the new Samsung Gear S’ integrated Bluetooth and 3G connectivity features in order to deliver Nike’s best in class running experience to Gear S users right from the get go.

It does not matter if you happen to indulge yourself in a little bit of casual running, or are serious in keeping track about every single jog that you make each time you put on your pair of running shoes. Apart from that, it will also let you arrive at your pre-determined goals earlier on, and you can share your ups and downs (data-wise) through the app’s updates with your family and friends.

It also leaves you with added peace of mind, knowing that no one is going to get your phone if you get mugged (touch wood), but then again, if there is an emergency, you might wish to have a full fledged handset of your own at that point in time.
