Humping Dog USB Cable Set finally gets an update

humping-dog-usb-cableI am quite sure that if there ever was a top prize for the world’s most useless USB accessory ever released, it would be the USB Humping Dog that would have picked up this coveted prize, hands down without any questions asked. Not only does it occupy a precious USB port on your computer, it does nothing else but hump your USB port – non-stop, so much so that you might be driven nuts with the constant gyrating motion (not to mention the mechanical sound that it makes). I wonder whether anyone has left the USB Humping Dog plugged in to a powered USB port long enough to see how many humps does it take before it calls it quits. It is now time for an update, and at the very least the Humping Dog will now have a greater purpose in life.

I am referring to the $78 Humping Dog USB cable, which will not only see it exercise its hips through constant gyration like in the days of old, it too, will also be able to perform data transfer while it is at it. The thing is, this USB cable will not conform to USB 3.0 specifications, so you will just have to make do with USB 2.0 at the moment, and that would translate to 480Mbps tops, which is pretty all right many years ago, but not so in this day and age where large file sizes are more the norm than exception. All you need to do is to hook up your Android smartphone and laptop, and watch the Humping Dog get frisky with your micro USB port, taking a brief respite every 30 seconds. Choose from dalmatian, beagle, and husky breeds.

Homemade Elysium Exoskeleton Lifts 170 Pounds

YouTuber The Hacksmith has been working on a special project for a long time – his Elysium-inspired exoskeleton. And now it is ready for action. This set of pneumatic-powered cyborg arms give him super strength and allow him to curl more than 170 pounds just like a killer robot.

It is still a work in progress though. He is still relying on his human legs. Even so, it is very impressive. He is having a way easier time lifting this weight than you would.

I bet his knees and back are killing him though. Once he does incorporate his legs and maybe even make a whole suit, there will be no stopping his goals of world domination.

Heated, Connected Insoles? Whatever Next…

Digitsole Are there any limits to the everyday objects that will get connectivity and become controllable via an app? Sanity and smartphone battery life might suggest so, but this soon to launch Kickstarter project which is seeking to crowdfund a pair of connected, heated insoles to warm your tootsies and track your running steps sort of suggests otherwise. Sonos Just Fixed Its Most Annoying Feature

Sonos Just Fixed Its Most Annoying Feature

Completely wireless music in your house is the future, and Sonos did it right first. We’ve been fond of the company for years because the system is painless to setup, easy to use, and reliable (not to mention the sound). Today, Sonos gets even simpler by killing the final wire between you and your music.
