This week a leak of explicit celebrity photos has summoned the need for additional security measures. Not just the kind of security measures you take by purchasing “keep me private” apps and the like, but the kind that includes common sense and the flipping of a few key switches in your phone. As it turns out – you CAN take … Continue reading
Wearing an apron when making food at home doesn’t seem to be such a common practice anymore. Mainly because most of our food is pre-made, and heated in the microwave. It seems almost comical to wear such an old-fashioned piece of cloth, but if you’re making something from scratch, there’s a good chance that it will be your only hope of protection from a barrage of flour, egg, or anything else that might explode and get on everything.
If you’re not an avid chef, but do occasionally enjoy whipping something up, then you might enjoy the Apron Cooking Guide. It has defrosting times, conversions, and several other types of helpful tidbits that will prevent you from going to your smartphone for every little thing when following a recipe. If you are sneaky enough, it will seem as though you have remembered every conversion and cooking time there is. Of course, most of us don’t have that kind of talent, and will end up pulling the apron very close to our faces and inspecting the tiny bit of information that we need.
While this isn’t currently up for grabs, it will be soon and will cost $20. If not for yourself, this would be a great gift for friends or family who are new to the world of cooking. Just make sure you don’t get it so dirty that you can’t read the fine print. Putting in a tablespoon of salt when it only asks for a teaspoon can be a dreadful thing.

Over the past few months there have been endless reports that Sprint is going to acquire T-Mobile. The former was said to have raised financing as well for the deal which reportedly fell through a few weeks ago. Before that happened a French telecommunication company called Iliad made a bid for T-Mobile U.S. but the price offered wasn’t accepted by Magenta’s people. It looks like Iliad isn’t giving up on its ambitions soon. Word on the street is that it is looking towards private equity firms that might want to team up for the T-Mobile acquisition.
Iliad might be hopeful that a revised offer might be accepted as Deutsche Telekom, which owns the majority stake in T-Mobile U.S., hinted recently that it will be open to an offer that’s above $35 per share. However a revised offer has not been submitted as yet.
The valuation presented by Deutsche Telekom might also pave the way for offers coming from other potential suitors. Dish Network is rumored to be interested in T-Mobile as well. Iliad’s previous offer was at $33 per share which was rejected by Magenta.
The reaction from federal regulators over a sale of T-Mobile U.S. to a French telco has already been under a lot of speculation. Regulators were reportedly not happy about consolidation in the market had Sprint bought T-Mobile. But under foreign ownership the carrier would remain independent and there would be no consolidation, so its expected that regulators might not look upon this deal too harshly.

Apple has already sent out invites for an event on September 9th so we know when the new iPhones are going to be announced. If you have followed rumors over the past few months you’ll now that the company is expected to unveil two new iPhone models, both with larger displays. There have also been conflicting reports about the 5.5-inch model, some claim it won’t ship until next year whereas the 4.7-inch might hit shelves on September 19th. A video has appeared online showing off what’s claimed to be the rear shell of the 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
At first glance this leaked rear shell doesn’t look all that different from the countless similar shells of the 4.7-inch model that we have already seen many times. The same cut-out Apple logo, camera and flash orifice is visible. Internal mounting points and the plastic rigging can also be seen.
The shell is measured with a ruler and its length comes in around 160 millimeters. According to the source it’s possible that Apple might call it the iPhone Air. This moniker has been rumored a few times before as well. Some even claim that it will be called the iPhone 6L.
We don’t know for sure as yet if both new iPhone models will be released at the same time, but that’s what happened last year. We’ll have to wait until September 9th to find out for sure.
