Malware, even the spying kind, isn’t uncommon, but it is quite rare to come across something as complex, modular, sophisticated, and long-lasting as the Backdoor.Regin that Symantec uncovered. This particular Trojan has managed to evade detection and forensic tools and in fact might still have some form out there. And it has been going around since circa 2008. This makes … Continue reading

In 1948, the Supreme Court ended the stranglehold Hollywood studios and distributors had on the U.S. movie market. Declaring the big eight a monopoly and ordering them to divest of their ownership of movie theaters and cease other non-competitive practices, with U.S. v. Paramount Pictures, et al., the Court opened the movie industry to independent producers and theaters, and indelibly changed the way we see films (and the films we see).

External batteries are great as they provide you with enough juice to last you the day and then some. However what happens when it runs out of battery and you need to charge it? It’ll probably take you a while to charge it back up to full, depending on its capacity, but if you’re looking for a fast charging solution, Petalite could be the answer to your problems.
Petalite is essentially an external battery, but when you connect it to its special dock, its creators are boasting that the device will be able to charge back to full in 15 minutes! In fact they’re going as far as claiming that they are the world’s fastest external battery, although there are more than a few options out there.
Now the thing about external batteries is that sometimes they can be a bit bulky, but Petalite is pretty slim and it looks small enough to slip into your pocket or bag without giving it too much thought. Great on travels, although its charging dock does look quite big so maybe it’s not as portable as we’d like it to be.
The Petalite itself boasts a 2,600mAh battery so it should be enough to charge most smartphones back to full at least once. Users with smartphones that have larger batteries probably can’t get 100%, but it should be enough, especially if you need it in a pinch. If you’d like to learn more or pledge your support, head on over to its Indiegogo page for the details.

They do, however, still play a pivotal role, no pun intended. These fins are designed to help control and steer the rocket during its return trip from … Continue reading
