As you might have heard, Cyanogen has recently inked a deal with Indian OEM Micromax to provide software to the company’s Yu-brand of smartphones. This is an exclusive deal which has some Indian customers wondering about the state of their purchases regarding the OnePlus One which also has CyanogenMod preinstalled on the phone.
Does that mean that Cyanogen will be forsaking India’s OnePlus One handsets in favor of the Yu phones? Well that’s what some customers had initially thought, but thankfully that does not appear to be the case. Cyanogen has recently posted a message on their blog in which they clear up the misunderstanding, and reassures users that they will not be forgotten.
According to the company, “To clarify misinformation out there, the OnePlus One will get OTA firmware updates for all global devices, including global devices for our users in India. Rather than have misinformation continue to circulate out there, we felt it important to bring this matter to rest.”
In some ways this is a bit ironic given that back in the day, the CyanogenMod ROM was a staple for users who turned to it whenever their OEM decided to forsake the latest update or took too long to push out the latest Android build to their phones. Either way we guess OnePlus users in India have nothing to worry about as far as updates are concerned.

When we think of Microsoft in the workplace, we usually think of computers and software, like Windows-based desktops and laptops and Microsoft Office as the default productivity suite of choice, and also Exchange/Outlook when it comes to handling emails. However when it comes to mobile, it’s usually a mix bag of choices.
Well for fans of the Windows Phone platform, you guys will be pleased to learn that it seems that BMW has decided to choose Windows Phone as its operating system of choice when it comes to mobile devices. According to reports, BMW is said to be replacing the smartphones of about 57,000 employees to Lumia branded devices.
Regular employees are said to be receiving the Lumia 630 while executives will be given the slightly more power Lumia 930. However the deal has yet to be finalized but we expect that if and when it does, the rollout of phones to employees will most probably take place over the coming months as 57,000 smartphones is a lot of phones to purchase at once!
In any case the deal will also be a boon to Microsoft as it allows them to gain additional foothold in the enterprise space, which at the moment and according to a recent report seems to be led and dominated by iOS.

Vivo might not necessarily be a household name in the US, but they certainly have been making waves, especially as they were one of the first few companies to release a smartphone with a QHD display in the form of the Vivo Xplay 3S. Well it looks like the company is coming back with a new phone in the form of the Vivo X5 Max, a phone which could very well steal the title of the world’s thinnest smartphone.
The company has recently posted a teaser image of the device and as you can see, it looks pretty damn thin. The thinnest smartphone title at the moment belongs to the Oppo R5 with a thickness of 0.19-inches. However with the X5 Max, Vivo could steal that crown with a thickness of 0.15-inches, making it mighty thin indeed!
As you might have heard from a previous report, the X5 Max is expected to be announced on the 10th of December so perhaps we will learn more then regarding its features and availability. As it stands, the rumors are claiming a Full HD 5.5-inch display with an octa-core chipset under the hood accompanied by 2GB of RAM.
It is also said to sport a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and we guess its thinness will be one of its defining features as well, but what do you guys think? Would such a thin phone appeal to you?
