Games of Christmas Past Sweatshirt

This Games of Christmas Past sweatshirt brings back memories of old school 8-bit gaming, when every game you got for Christmas was a truly treasured. The sweatshirt will warm your heart. Plus, it will keep you warm in the winter months.

It features the Space Invaders aliens, Pitfall Harry, the ship from Yar’s Revenge and our favorite landfill dweller – Atari 2600 E.T wearing a Santa hat. It’s all done up in an ugly but colorful Christmas sweater pattern. So deck the halls with retro gaming this year. It’s only $19.95(USD) over at Neatoshop – which is actually cheaper than what each of these games cost back in the day.

It makes a great gift for old school video game nerds like myself.

DIY LEGO Christmas Ornaments Geek up the Holidays

LEGO builder Chris McVeigh has offered up some cool ornament designs in time for decorating your Christmas tree. Among his designs are these tiny arcade machines right out of the ’80s and a cool Christmas train.

The Christmas train looks like it is made from gingerbread and is complete with white smoke billowing out of the stack. I much prefer the arcade machines myself, but that’s just how I roll.

starbucksOrderAheadYesterday, Starbucks announced they’d be launching a program in Portland to allow customers to order and pay in the app. Being a resident of Portland, my immediate reaction was one of disbelief (we typically don’t get opportunities like this), then curiosity. Is ordering and paying for something in-app as good as it sounds, or would there be severe hiccups that … Continue reading
