Someone mentioned in Twitter that Japan’s Yoshinobu Launch Complex at the Tanegashima Space Center looks like the lair of a Bond villain. And indeed it does: Check out the photo I found while searching for information about Hayabusa 2, JAXA’s second mission to retrieve asteroid material.
Sometimes, you just happen to see the right movie at the right moment in your life. Pretty much everything in the world was up in the air for me in late 2000—from where I’d move, to what I’d do with myself once I got there. And then I saw Almost Famous, Cameron Crowe’s semi-autographical film about becoming a journalist in the 1970s.
YotaPhone’s second-gen handset, the YotaPhone 2, is powerful, well-built and makes legitimate use of its secondary E Ink screen. The only problem? It costs as much as an off-contract 16GB iPhone 6. That’s not all we have on deck, though — read on fo…
Smart breathalyzers have long tried to help people deal with the serious issue of drunk-driving. But, ultimately, those options won’t physically prevent anyone from getting behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol — much like the Ignition Int…
“Keep Austin Weird.” It’s the proud slogan of the Texas capital, and it wears it well, especially with its eclectic mix of culture, history and technology. Pretty soon, Austin will have one more reason to be proud: it’ll be one of a few cities in Ame…
Earlier this year Motorola unveiled the Moto E, another low-budget offering from the company. Given how well the Moto G has done, we expect that Motorola had similar high hopes for the Moto E as well. That being said, could Motorola already be planning a successor to the Moto E this early on?
Well according to the rumors, the answer is yes. This is based on a report from Greece in which it was suggested that Motorola is expected to announce a new Moto E soon, which we have to say is a bit odd given that the handset isn’t even a year old yet. It is also expected to come with hardware improvements, much like how the Moto G’s successor came with hardware improvements as well.
So what kind of improvements are we talking about? Well for starters it looks like it will see a slight bump in display size from 4.3-inches to 4.5-inches. It will also come with a resolution of 540×960 and will be accompanied by a 5MP rear-facing camera and the possibility of LTE as well.
There is also a chance it could be upgraded to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400/410 SoC which is a jump over the Snapdragon 200 in the original Moto E. Assuming this is true, this is a pretty big upgrade. That being said since none of this can be confirmed now, do take it with a grain of salt but check back with us in the future for more updates.

Is artificial intelligence the way of the future? After all at the moment we do rely on AI to help us with simple tasks. For example Google Now, Siri, and Cortana could be considered AI. The NPCs in your video games can be considered AI. Your smart thermostat could also be considered to have a modicrum of AI if it is to understand your habits and behaviors.
However it seems that despite these conveniences, not everyone is convinced that AI is good for humanity. Renowned scientist Stephen Hawking recently gave an interview with the BBC in which he was quoted as saying that it is possible that the full development of AI could actually spell the end of the human race.
According to Hawking, “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race. Humans, who are limited by slow biological evolution, couldn’t compete and would be superceded.” Hawking admits that the current and more primitive versions of AI we have built are helpful and influential, but it is the untapped and more advanced realm of AI that we haven’t explored which is worrying him.
Hawking isn’t alone in his sentiments as Telsa’s CEO Elon Musk has also shared his concerns about artificial intelligence, going as far as to likening it to summoning a demon, but what do you guys think?

Back in 2013 there were many rumors that Bethesda would finally be unveiling Fallout 4 during the Spike Video Game Awards. Unfortunately that did not happen and if you were thinking that this could happen this year at The Game Awards, you’re out of luck. Perhaps in a bid to curb the rumors and speculation, Bethesda has confirmed this themselves.
Posting onto Twitter, Bethesda had this to say, “PSA — We’re not showing anything at the Game Awards. We’ll be there to support @MachineGames.” This means that if you were hoping for a surprise Fallout 4 related announcement or an announcement of any of Bethesda’s upcoming games or new games, sorry to disappoint!
Last year there was a mysterious website counting down to the alleged Fallout 4 announce, but unfortunately that proved to be a fake. Instead it was a website setup by a fan in hopes that it would force Bethesda to reveal something Fallout 4 related, although that ploy sadly did not work.
However leaked casting sheets have suggested that the game could be in the works, although sadly it failed to debut at E3 2014 earlier this year. In any case we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled but in the meantime, are gamers still eagerly anticipating the game? Or have you moved on to other titles instead?

It is no secret that trying to get your hands on the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus can be a difficult job, unless of course you don’t mind waiting anywhere between 2 weeks to a month before you are able to receive your purchase in the mail. Well the good news is that it looks like Apple has finally managed to get their supply sorted out; either that or the initial demand has started to wane and now more units are available.
According to a recent sighting on Apple’s website, it has been noticed that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus has had their shipping time improve to 3-5 days. This applies to both the iPhone 6 and the more popular iPhone 6 Plus, save for the 128GB model which is still facing a bit of delay at around 7-10 working days.
This is a marked improvement from a few weeks ago where the iPhone 6 Plus had its estimated shipping time set around 7-10 days, so for it to be nearly halved is great news, especially for those who were thinking about buying the new iPhones as a Christmas present for their friends/family members.
There have also been rumors that the reason why the iPad Pro failed to debut this year as intended was because the Cupertino company had decided to focus on the iPhone 6 Plus’ production instead. In any case if you wanted the new iPhone in time for the holidays, pop on over to Apple’s website for the details.

The Nintendo Wii U was launched in 2012 and we’re sure some gamers are wondering how well the console has done for itself so far. Well according to the latest numbers released by Media Create, they have revealed that the Wii U console has managed to sell more than 2 million units in Japan so far.
In fact back in October Nintendo’s quarterly financials revealed that they have managed to sell a little over 7 million units since it was launched two years ago, so safe to say that things are chugging along smoothly for Nintendo, somewhat. The 2 million mark is also ahead of the holiday season where sales are expected to spike around Christmas, so perhaps we will see the sales improve even more then.
That being said the 7 million mark isn’t very encouraging when you compare it to newer consoles like Sony’s PlayStation 4. The latest console from Sony has been on the market for about a year now but it was in April where they announced that they themselves have managed to sell over 7 million consoles, ultimately surpassing Nintendo’s figures in a fraction of the time.
However Nintendo still has several first-party titles in the works that have yet to be released and if games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. are anything to go by, they should help boost the Wii U’s sales even more.
