It goes without saying that each edition of the Consumer Electronics Show over in Las Vegas would bring along with it its fair share of interesting hardware – ranging from which will obviously include products from some of the lesser known brands, but the ideas behind those products are no less “lightweight” in nature. MPOWERD has just announced that their most affordable and versatile inflatable Luci EMRG solar light to date can be purchased online, and having seen preliminary orders and demand, this particular light should hit the store shelves of retailers throughout the USA and internationally some time in the second half of 2015

Just in case you are still wondering and scratching your head concerning what the Luci EMRG is all about, this unique device happens to be a lightweight (tipping the scales at all of just 2.5 oz.), all-in-one lantern, flashlight and emergency light. The revolutionary multi-purpose product is capable of delivering up to seven hours of light when it carries around a full charge, and will be able to retains 95% of its charge each month even when you do not turn it on at all. In other words, it is ready to spring into action all the time, making it ideal for use in the event of a power outage or emergency.

Other features found in the Luci EMRG include a safety flasher and a high visibility red and white S.O.S. flasher, and those will be accompanied by an ultra-bright flashlight setting and lantern mode for diffused room lighting. It is extremely compact, no doubt about it, and would relish the presence of rain thanks to its waterproof capability. All of those qualities would make the durable Luci EMRG especially useful for blackouts, car breakdowns and extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and tornados. Definitely one of the cooler solar-powered hardware that we have seen to date.

If it’s snowy outside where you are, you probably feel like you are on Hoth already. You might as well have a Tauntaun to ride. Redditor Xnipek posted this photo of their friend sitting on the back of an awesome snowman that he built. It is made to look just like a tauntaun from The Empire Strikes Back.

Of course the insides of this Tauntaun aren’t going to keep anyone warm, so don’t go slicing it open to stash your friend inside. Otherwise when Echo base finds you, you will both be frozen solid.

These guys know how to have fun in the snow. They also have very cold and wet butts from sitting on this thing.

It has consistently been rumored over the past few months that Samsung is going to unveil two new variants of Galaxy S6. One of those variants is believed to be similar to Galaxy Note Edge which has a display that curves over the right edge. This variant is commonly referred to as Galaxy S6 Edge right now but a placeholder on Vodafone’s website hints that it may simply be called Galaxy S Edge.

This doesn’t seem odd at all. Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are not too different in terms of specifications. The latter stands out because of its curved display and it doesn’t carry a number in its moniker, it simply goes by Galaxy Note Edge, Samsung can very well be expected to replicate this with its upcoming flagship.

Digging into the source code of Vodafone’s page one finds that a pre-order form for Samsung Galaxy S Edge will be added. Though it is unclear when it will go live.

Samsung hasn’t confirmed when it will unveil the new devices. Rumor has it that the company is going to conduct an event on March 2nd, a day after HTC is done with its announcements, to formally unveil the Galaxy S6 and its Edge variant.
