We use canned air to blast particulates out of our hardware, but we can tear through full cans in no time flat. It’s not that they’re overly expensive, but it does add up over time. A few days ago Pebble’s wonderful smartwatches got updated with the power of Android Wear notifications when the feature rolled out to all users. I’ve been using it for a few days now, and while it’s definitely not a perfect implementation, it does make one of the best smartwatches out there even better.

Internet darling Imgur is the go-to place for image and .gif hosting and browsing it is a true serendipitous experience. Fire up the app or open Imgur on the computer and with each click of the next button something new pops up, it might be a funny cat .gif, a moving personal story or an informative post about current events. Sure, its chaotic, but there’s a certain charm to it. Imgur today announced the addition of Topics which make exploration much easier if you’re looking for certain kind of posts on the service.
The Topics option is available in users’ gallery sorts. Users can choose a Topic and see all of the content associated with it. For example if they have had enough of Most Viral they can switch over to Aww, Awesome, Funny or The More You Know among others.
Imgur says that this new feature retains the serendipity, since users really don’t know what post is coming up once they click the next button, while keeping in line with a particular user’s interests and passions.
Since Imgur gives great value to its community it crafted the initial set of Topics based on the “landscape of Imgurian created tags,” and the idea was to choose a set that was comprehensive enough to cover the wide variety of content that’s available while still being small enough that managing the set wouldn’t pose problems.
Now that Topics are live Imgur users can choose a topic when submitting a post, then add a title and description before they post it on Imgur. Tags have become optional now.

The rumor mill is understandably in overdrive now that we’re less than two weeks away from Samsung’s Mobile World Congress 2015 event. In Barcelona the company is going to take the stage and unveil its latest flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S6. Currently there is no shortage of rumors, leaks and reports concerning this device. The latest leak today claims to give us a glimpse of the Galaxy S6 battery.
The images show battery packs with model number EB-BG925ABE meant for the SM-925, that’s the supposed model number for Galaxy S6, coupled with a manufacturing date that’s barely a few days old.
These are seen as indicators that these images and the battery packs we see in them are indeed authentic. Battery capacity is certainly what was rumored recently, 2600mAh, as opposed to the 2,800mAh present in the Galaxy S5.
Samsung Galaxy S6 is rumored to have a non-removable battery that’s compatible with wireless charging from the get go. The company has reportedly fashioned its new flagship out of metal so its believed to be very slim and to achieve that profile it may have sacrificed in the battery department.
It goes without saying that Samsung has not confirmed any of these rumors and we can’t expect it too, not when the official event is so close, so we’ll just have to wait until March 1st to find out the truth once and for all.

Earlier today we reported about spotting a countdown timer on Pebble’s official website. The company hasn’t revealed what it is counting down to, that remains a mystery right now, but according to the rumor mill we’ll be treated to a new Pebble smartwatch on February 24th. It is said that the upcoming smartwatch might bring something that many Pebble fans want the next-gen wearable device to have.
9to5Mac hears from multiple sources that the company has planned a major upgrade for both the hardware and software. These changes will reportedly be shown off next week once the countdown timer runs out on February 24th.
The next-gen Pebble is said to have a slightly wider color “e-paper like” display which will be set in a slightly thinner design. Pebble may be aiming to keep the battery life similar to its current models, and may have also added a microphone to the next-gen model.
A new operating system is rumored as well redesigned from some members of the webOS team and the new smartwatch may not have a touchscreen display, a feature that’s present in almost all of its rivals like the Android Wear crowd and the Apple Watch.
Pebble itself has hinted in the past that new hardware and software is on the cards for 2015. Looks like we’re in for both next week.
