Verizon is a pretty crafty company. Not only have they built one of the better mobile networks around, but their response to the FCC’s Net Neutrality ruling is — well, it’s subtle brilliance. Snarky, too. Today is Thursday, which means on the Internet — the thing the FCC is now regulating strictly — it’s Throwback Thursday. Verizon thinks the FCC’s … Continue reading
Let’s say you love table tennis aka ping pong, but you live in a tiny apartment. You can’t have a full-sized table otherwise you’ll be eating dinner and working on it too. This cardboard version of table tennis is the answer.
In just seconds it can be unfolded and assembled into a working ping pong table, complete with a cardboard net, cardboard paddles and a cardboard scoreboard. Sure it isn’t regulation, but you can get a quick game or two when the mood strikes you. Just don’t spill your beer on it.
The set is sold by German parlor game company Kickpack, who also offers a cardboard foosball table.

The next iteration in the Battlefield franchise is going to arrive next month. If response from gamers during the beta period was any indication this game might do well once it is finally released. However before the title is released for everybody on March 17th, EA Access members will be able to get their hands on it a full five days early, on March 12th to be precise.
Electronic Arts announced today that EA Access subscribers will be able to play the full version of Battlefield Hardline for up to ten hours. That’s a generous time limit given that previously EA Access members have only been allowed up to six hours of gameplay.
During this period only the prologue and first chapter of the story will be accessible but all maps and modes in the multiplayer component will be available.
Battlefield Hardline joins titles like Dragon Age: Inquisition and Madden NFL 15 which were both offered to EA Access subscribers a few days early before their public release.
All progress made in the title during the trial period will carry over to the game once it launches. As an added incentive EA Access members will be able to purchase Battlefield Hardline at a 10 percent discount, $53.99 instead of $59.99, from the Xbox Games Store.
EA Access subscription costs $29.99 per year or $4.99 per month, it is only offered to Xbox One owners, and members can get trials of unreleased games, full EA titles in The Vault apart from discounts on digital content purchases.

The developer of the latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise, Sledgehammer Games, is looking at opportunities to recreate some of the most classic Call of Duty maps in Advanced Warfare. Released late last year, Advanced Warfare is set in the future, where a private military contractor goes rogue against the state. There are plenty of technological advancements apart from those exosuits that characters in the game take to the battlefield.
Sledgehammer Games co-founder Michael Condrey tells VG247 that players of the latest Havoc DLC have been asking them how Exo abilities and verticality can be brought over to some of the franchise’s classic maps.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Havoc DLC was released only recently for PlayStation 4 and the PC. It was first released on the Xbox One as part of an exclusivity deal.
Condrey says that they’re taking a look at some opportunities to make this happen, like they did with Atlas Gorge, but doesn’t outright confirm that this will happen let alone provide an estimated timeframe in which players can expect classic maps to arrive supporting vertical gameplay mechanics that are integral to the Advanced Warfare experience.
Additional DLC packs will be released for this title in the coming months. The possibility exists that those packs might bring some classic franchise maps that Advanced Warfare gamers are anxiously waiting for.
