Scientists Just Broke a Quantum Record By Entangling 3,000 Atoms

Quantum entanglement is an odd phenomenon that can connect two or more particles over even vast distances. Scientists have now managed to entangle not two, not 100 (the previous record), but 3,000 atoms with a single photon, opening the door to atomic clocks more accurate than ever.

Bring Back SoundCloud's Fantastic Desktop App

With all these rich musicians making a ruckus about Jay Z’s overpriced streaming music service, I’m getting a little emotional. Not about Jay Z’s overpriced streaming music service. About the bygone golden era of streaming music’s erstwhile golden boy: SoundCloud.

‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ movie to arrive in early 2016

Galaxy Note 2 Android 5.0.1 Update May Arrive Alongside Galaxy Alpha

android-5.0-lollipop

Many Galaxy Note 2 owners have been wondering if and when Samsung plans on releasing the Lollipop update for their device. Late last year Samsung Finland confirmed that this device would receive the Lollipop update at some point in 2015. Samsung hasn’t said anything about the update since then but there is now reason to believe that the Galaxy Note 2 Android 5.0.1 update might arrive when Samsung releases it for the Galaxy Alpha.

The Galaxy Alpha was a solid mid-range smartphone that Samsung released last year. It has also not been updated to Lollipop as yet.

It was spotted that Android 5.0.1 has been listed as the scheduled version of Android for both the Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Alpha. This information was listed on Samsung’s official websites for Finland and Denmark.

It merits mentioning here that so far Samsung has not provided an official release date for this update. It can not be said for sure at this point in time when Android 5.0.1 Lollipop will be released for Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy Alpha.

Presumably these updates will arrive in Q2 2015, at least that’s when Lollipop will be released for the Galaxy S5 Mini, if recent word from Samsung France is to be believed.

Galaxy Note 2 owners will no doubt be anxiously waiting for Lollipop to arrive. Their device is over two years old and they would certainly appreciate it if Samsung brought them over to the latest iteration of Android.
