Greetings, my envoys of envelopes! Your fake post-apocalyptic mailman’s mailbag is overflowing this week. Are the Agents of SHIELD actually bad guys? Would Constantine work on Legends of Tomorrow? Can I talk about both Spider-Man movie franchises purely in terms of the Titanic? Turns out I can!
Nearly 100 years ago, there was no drug to help with erectile dysfunction, but Bernard Scheinkman came up with an alternative. It’s not clear whether this nightmarish penile splint was ever manufactured — but you have to love the baroque logic of combining a cock ring, an open condom, and a shelf.
While Gunnar glasses are marketed towards gamers, they can be effective at reducing eyestrain for anyone that spends their day staring at a screen. The problem is that they’re typically pretty expensive, and rarely go on sale. Today only though, Amazon’s got a variety of options marked down to a flat $40, which is basically as cheap as we ever see them. These prices will shoot back up at midnight PT though, so grab them while you can. [Gunnar Sale]
Admit it: you’ve looked longingly at Captain Kirk’s bulky but oddly attractive leather chair and thought “yes, I need that in my life .” It’s okay. We all have. Even Adam Savage. Especially Adam Savage.
CSI: Cyber’s double-header finale has everything wonderfully horrible about this incoherent, paranoid baloney sandwich of a show: Overwrought melodrama, gargled tech jargon, comical graphics, an extensive array of stylish vests, and Oscar Winner™ Patricia Arquette grimacing her way through a hefty career mistake with aplomb.
Do you ever find yourself starting to read something, but only a paragraph or two into it you have to stop and pop open a new tab, pull out your smartphone for a quick browse, or any other number of distractions? We’ve already seen Force Touch on Apple’s new MacBook, and there’s also rumor that it’ll … Continue reading
ADT already dipped its toe in the home automation waters, but the company plans to make an even bigger splash in the months to come. It announced today that it’ll leverage tech from LG and Nest to add to its connected home tool set. First, ADT and LG…
It’s an age-old question: why do people cheat?
In the clip above, writer and all-around funny guy Steve Zaragoza wanders around New York City and asks random strangers, point-blank, why they think people stray.
“I think people are just unhappy and are too scared to say something and break up with someone before they move on,” one person suggests.
“They’re looking for something else — they’re missing something,” says another.
Still, most said they believed it was possible to remain monogamous in a relationship.
“Love is not a feeling, it’s a choice,” she says. “It’s not always going to feel good but you make that commitment because you’d rather spend your life with that person than without.”
Well said, random lady on the street, well said.
