David Duchovny Denies Gillian Anderson Dating Rumors

“The X-Files” fans have been hoping for years that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were actually dating, but in a recent interview with TVLine, Duchovny shot down the rumors.

The whole thing about Gillian and I dating is so weird,” he told the site. “It’s never happened, it’s not going to happen, we’re friends. I don’t want to rain on anybody’s parade, but no, it’s not gonna happen. It hasn’t happened.”

The rumors were refueled last week when Anderson stepped on stage with Duchovny while he was promoting his new album, “Hell or Highwater,” at New York City’s Cutting Room. They shared a friendly kiss. “I see Gillian, I kiss her hello,” he said. “She’s my friend. If somebody gets a picture of that, if it’s on stage and she comes up to sing with me, I’m going to kiss her hello. I wish the show would be enough. I don’t understand why people want more from Gillian and I. I really don’t.”

Thirteen years after it went off the air, “The X-Files” is set to return to Fox for six episodes, with Duchovny and Anderson reprising their roles as Mulder and Scully, respectively. Duchovny, who told TVLine he’s seen the first script, said, “You can have Mulder and Scully, and that’s gonna have to be enough.”

Could Bionic Plants Be The New Solar Cell?

Chloroplasts are the green organelles responsible for photosynthesis. Image by Kristian Peters.Photosynthesis – the means by which plants are able to convert sunlight and carbon dioxide to useable chemical energy — is one of the more remarkable natural feats. Scientists have long sought to exploit the process as a method of more efficiently harvesting solar energy, but have so far been thwarted by relatively low efficiencies. Now a research team has found a nanobioengineering technique using carbon nanotubes to dramatically increase light absorption and enhance energy generation by nearly 50%.

The Quickest Way to Send Photos in iMessage

A picture is worth a thousand words, so the old saying goes, so you’ll often want to snap a photo of what you’re seeing or looking like rather than try and describe it using old-fashioned text. If you’re on iMessage on iOS, there’s a shortcut you can use to get your images sent faster.

Samsung Galaxy S6 brutally destroyed by Desert Eagle

nooooSamsung Galaxy S6 undergoes toughness test which includes a shot with a Desert Eagle sidearm. While the crew in this test do indeed apply a carbon fiber skin from DBrand, it… really doesn’t do much to protect the phone. As it’s not meant to really – not from a bullet, anyway. This gun-based toughness test is mostly a fun sort … Continue reading

Navy Railgun Annihilates Steel Plates in Live Fire Test

We have talked about the awe-inspiring railgun that the US Navy has been working on before. The last time we mentioned it the gun was test fired at 32-megajoules and looked incredible doing it. The Navy wants to replace the giant deck guns on its ships and one day the railgun may do just that.

The most recent test firing of the railgun sees the hyper-velocity shell blasting through steel plates like they are nothing at a speed of around 5,600 mph. Another cool thing about these incredibly fast projectiles is that they are guided and can reach out and destroy a bad guy from over 100 miles away.

One big difference in this test firing is that instead of looking like a hammer, the projectile in this test is streamlined and much more precise. This is one of the coolest videos I have seen in a while, check it out.
