Labels and streaming music services have spent ages bickering over payments for streaming music, but it’s never really been clear who was getting the short end of the stick… besides the artists, that is. We may have a better sense of things now tha…
Would you rather say “¡hola!” to your Uber driver instead of “hello?” You’ve got it. The ridesharing firm has formally launched UberEspañol in six US areas (Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County, Phoenix, San Diego and Tucson), giving you the choice of…
Horror of horrors, you’ve just downed a plate of Colonel Sander’s famous fried chicken only to have that text you’ve been waiting for suddenly ping your phone. What do you do? Clearly the answer isn’t to reach for the napkins. No, instead you do what…
When you reach a certain age, your body stops producing collagen. We start getting crows feet and laugh lines on our face, and bags under our eyes. We want to do all we can to stop or reverse these effects without having to go under the knife to achieve this look. While eating well and taking supplements can help, it may take a more intensive system to help you get your face to where you want it to be.
While this Tria Laser can’t fix everything, it can help you with fine lines and wrinkles. This system will require you to use it every day for a few minutes, but the results are supposed to be visible changes in clarity, smoothness, and radiance. This uses beams of light in targeted areas that will cause microscopic zones of cellular disruption. Your body will heal this disruption, reducing the lines. Keep in mind that this will not completely erase them, so you will need to have skin that is already in decent shape.
This is targeted at people who have close to flawless skin, are aging, and want to lessen the appearance of their wrinkles. It’s not a cheap trinket at $495, but hey, at least you can pick between a dove or lilac-colored shell. I’m sure this would work well for those that want to amp up their confidence in regards to aging, but unless you find confidence in yourself, no amount of wrinkle-reduction will make you feel better about the skin you live in. Age is a matter of the mind, if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.

T-Mobile seriously shook up the wireless industry in the United States by going “uncarrier,” eliminating two-year contracts entirely and instead offering devices on an equipment installment plan. Verizon, AT&T and Sprint later followed with similar programs but kept their two-year contracts around as well. According to a new report AT&T is going to take a step in that direction by cutting back on conventional service contracts, apparently it will stop third-party retailers like Walmart or Best Buy from offering two-year contracts to customers.
AT&T hasn’t been quick to respond to T-Mobile’s move though, the uncarrier initiative has been around for over two years now and has morphed into much more than just getting rid of conventional contracts.
Even if AT&T stops third-party retailers from offering contracts it will continue to push two-year contracts through its own brick and mortar locations as well as its online store.
On the other hand retailers will be limited to either selling the devices at full retail price or selling them to customers on the AT&T Next program, which is basically an installment plan for 24 months.
The report does not make it clear when AT&T is going to officially announce this move. So far the carrier has neither confirmed nor denied whatever has been claimed in this report.

Nasty Gal Under Fire After Incorrectly ID'ing Taylor Swift's Balmain Jumpsuit As Its Own
Posted in: Today's ChiliNasty Gal has gotten itself into a pretty nasty mess.
The brand quickly deleted an Instagram Sunday after claiming Taylor Swift, who wore Balmain to the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, was wearing its nearly identical Frisco Inferno Knit Cutout Jumpsuit (which can be purchased in the few sizes left for $78 here.)
The subhead here says it all: Yikes. http://t.co/o3U51iKDuo pic.twitter.com/Wr2QOC7XeD

Nasty Gal is no stranger to copycat accusations. In fact, Amoruso herself has previously been caught in a back and forth with an Etsy seller who claimed her design had been ripped off. Nasty Gal’s former CEO responded with some choice words: “Congrats, you’ve been knocked off. It’s a rite of passage.”
(Left: Balmain’s spring 2015 runway, Right: product from Nasty Gal’s website)
Olivier Rousteing, creative director at Balmain, hardly needs the publicity. Just ask one of the many other celebs who wore his designs on the red carpet that night.
Still, It wouldn’t be a total shock to see Swift in Nasty Gal, after all, she is pretty much the epitome of a “Girl Boss.”
Nasty Gal did not return a request for comment by time of publication.

Islamic State insurgents on Sunday overran the city of Ramadi in Iraq’s Anbar province amid reports that government forces fled their posts. The militants killed up to 500 people in their three-day assault, and the United Nations reported that nearly 25,000 residents have fled the recent fighting.
The fall of Ramadi is a significant blow to the fight against the Islamic State group and cast doubt over recent claims by U.S. officials that international air strikes and a ground offensive by Iraqi troops has pushed the extremist group on the defensive.
Despite help from coalition airplanes, the Iraqi army was not only unable to repel the extremist fighters, but also lost control of the provincial capital and a key highway connecting Syria and Iraq.
The collapse of the Iraqi army’s defenses in Ramadi highlight the unraveling of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s April promise that the military would push the militant group out of Anbar province. It raises questions about the U.S. effort to rebuild the Iraqi army as a key element of the fight against IS, and it cast doubt on the readiness of the Iraqi army for the massive offensive against the IS-held city of Mosul planned for later this year.
The U.S. has so far downplayed the importance of the fighting in Ramadi. While acknowledging the fall of the city is a “setback,” the White House vowed on Monday to assist Iraq in its efforts to recapture the city.
The task of taking it back will not only fall to Iraqi forces, however, but also to Shiite militias known as the popular mobilization units.
Faced with the Iraqi forces’ losses over the weekend, Abadi called in the help of the Iran-backed militias to recapture the key city. These fighters have already played a key role in the fight against IS elsewhere in the country, most notably in the battle for the city of Tikrit earlier this year. On Tuesday, the units gathered on the outskirts of Ramadi in preparation for battle.

But the deployment of the militias has triggered new fears among Ramadi residents. Observers and tribal leaders from the region fear sectarian tensions between the city’s primarily Sunni population and the Shiite fighters, The Guardian reported.
Their fears are not unfounded. After the battle for Tikrit, Shiite militiamen were accused of looting homes and lynched suspected IS supporters upon taking over the city.
Shiite militias are also believed to be behind the killing of 72 Sunnis in the village of Barwanah in January, and Human Rights Watch reported numerous accounts of crimes carried out by the groups.
“Many of these Shiite militias carry very sectarian flags … they use chants and phrases which are very viciously anti-Sunni. This does provide groups like ISIL an opportunity to exploit this kind of sectarian dynamic, which they feed off,” Charles Lister of The Brookings Institute told BBC Radio 4 on Monday.
The prominence of the Shiite militias is also undermining Abadi’s already fragile authority. Iraqi officials and analysts told The New York Times that the apparent strength of the militias compared with the ineffectiveness of Abadi’s attempts to recapture Anbar province has made the prime minister a target of criticism from Iraqi politicians who view him as weak.
On Tuesday, IS was strengthening its grip on the city. Militants placed land mines around Ramadi to shore up its defenses in anticipation of an attack, witnesses told Reuters, while residents still trapped in the area voiced fears that they would soon be caught in the crossfire.
