The first time I saw Merle and Daryl in The Walking Dead I really didn’t like either of them. Daryl has definitely grown on me, though I was rather glad to see Merle turn. One of the most memorable scenes in the show was when they left Merle cuffed to the roof of the building in season one and Merle cut his own hand off to get away from the horde.
The next time we saw Merle he had fixed himself up a prosthetic hand with a knife on the end that reminded me more than a little of The Evil Dead. You can now get your own Merle’s knife hand roleplay weapon at ThinkGeek for $24.99(USD).

Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
PS4 and XBOX ONE / July
With Tiger Woods finding himself firmly in the bunker, it is no surprise to see Golf’s hottest star on the face of the PGA game series.
Now that the release is just beyond the horizon, the game also marks shift from the 360 and PS3 to a new generation of consoles, so in many ways, the game has a lot to live up to – but could mark a fresh start for a series that hasn’t seen much change since its first release, back in 1990.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
PS4, XBOX ONE, PS3, XBOX 360 / September
Serving as a sequel to Metal gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the title will see Venom Snake venturing into both Africa and Afghanistan during the Soviet War of 1984.
Although the game has already garnered some small-time controversy, the release has been in development since 2012 and has been long awaited by the series’ large group of die-hard fans.
Halo 5: Guardians
XBOX ONE / October
Another classic series that doesn’t look like it’s going to end any time soon, Halo 5 could well be the biggest release in the run up to Christmas, despite it being an XBOX ONE only game – for now.
Serving as the sequel to Halo 4, released in 2012, the game will run at a mind blowing 60 FPS and the production of the game actually forced Microsoft to order a totally new engine so that the console could cope with the intensity of what it had to produce on-screen.
Star Wars Battlefront
PC, XBOX ONE, PS4 / November
Marking the third instalment of the most successful Star Wars game series ever, Battlefront has the added juice of being made by the developers of the acclaimed Battlefield series.
Expected to sell ten million units by March 2016, Battlefront will be the first in release in the series to fully incorporate online multiplayer modes, allowing up to 40 players per match, over 12 maps.
With a Fighter Squadron game-mode having just been announced by DICE, Battlefront could prove to be the most successful game of 2015.

We have looked at many new technologies that will allow us to truly take a leap into the new generation of video game fidelity, and this has resulted in physically based rendering as well as photogrammetry workflows.
