Official Snapchat App For Windows 10 Mobile Possibly Coming Soon

snapchat-phishing
Windows 10 Mobile users are well aware of the fact that they won’t get access to as many apps and games as they would on iOS or Android, yet many have still made it their platform of choice. It comes down to personal preference for everybody but nobody would want more apps to not become available for their platform. Those who have been keeping their fingers crossed for an official Snapchat app for Windows 10 Mobile might have something to look forward to in the near future.

No official Snapchat app is currently available for Windows 10 Mobile. Third-party clients like 6snap and 6discover have been removed from the Windows Phone Store on Snapchat’s request so folks on Microsoft’s platform can’t really Snapchat with anybody.

Snapchat did say back in May last year that it was working on an official app for Windows Phone-powered devices but that hasn’t materialized yet. From the looks of it the app might finally come out in the near future.

The Spanish Lumia Support account has revealed that Microsoft is working with Snapchat on an official app. Someone asked them when Snapchat would be available for their Windows Phone device to which the support account replied: “It will arrive soon to your Windows Phone! We are already working with our friends at Snapchat, to bring it as soon as possible.”

No other official indication has been made as yet regarding the arrival of Snapchat on Windows 10 Mobile, so all users can do right now is keep their fingers crossed.

Xbox One TV DVR Feature Has Not Been Ruled Out Completely

xbox-one-hands-on-review-05
Microsoft announced last year that it would eventually release a TV DVR feature for Xbox One. Users had long been waiting for this feature to arrive and yet earlier this month Microsoft confirmed that it was dropping plans for the Xbox One TV DVR feature. However, this doesn’t mean the feature won’t ever arrive for this console, Microsoft wants you to know that it hasn’t completely ruled out the TV DVR feature yet.

Xbox general manager Dave McCarthy revealed in an interview with GameSpot that the team had to make a tough decision to put TV DVR on hold because it had to prioritize where it was focusing its time.

He also mentioned that the feature has not been completely ruled out, adding that people who really want the TV DVR feature should vote for the idea on the Xbox Feedback website. He said that the team regularly looks at that user feedback and responds to what people want the most, so if there are enough votes for it, the TV DVR feature will be released for Xbox One.

It may take some time, though, before this feature is made available and that’s assuming there are enough votes to force Microsoft to start working on this feature again. McCarthy was quick to point out that the Xbox One already has plenty of media options, including but not limited to over-the-air TV support, for which an adapter is sold separately.

Meeting Life

When we can still ourselves, our heart will sink –of its own weight–below the noise of the world, the advice of others, and even our own expectations. Once that still, our mind can relax and we have the chance to inhale what matters. This is how we practice meeting life.

So when losing track of what I believe in, when wondering what work I’m called to next, I still my heart until I stop feeding the dark things that keep shouting they’re important. In that stillness, I ask myself: Where is the light coming from today? What do I have to do to put myself in its path? What part of me is illuminated for leaning into life? What can I learn by being so lighted? What is it my heart can’t keep from doing that will bring me more alive?

To lean into life requires a quiet courage that lets us find our aliveness. And the reward for leaning into life is that everything hidden becomes sweet and colorful. Or more, we are finally present enough to receive the sweetness and the color. Consider how a flower opens. It doesn’t prepare for a particular moment, but stays true to a life of leaning toward the light. When a flower blossoms, it turns inside out and wears its beauty in the world. As do we. In just this way, a soul opens over a lifetime of leaning into life.

Despite the hardships we encounter, the heart keeps opening after closing, the way day follows night. Until meeting life is our daily experiment in truth. No matter the obstacles, we’re asked to welcome the sweet teachers along the way. Until we accept that the secret kingdom is everywhere.

A Question to Walk With: In conversation with a friend or loved one, describe a time that your heart opened after closing. What helped you to open again?

Next month, Atria will publish my new book, The One Life We’re Given. To make the most of being here, we’re required to learn when to try and when to let go. This is our initiation into grace. The gift and practice of being human centers on the effort to restore what matters and, when in trouble, to make good use of our heart. No one quite knows how to do this, but learn it we must. There is no other way. By fully living the one life we’re given, we’re led to the wisdom that waits in our heart. “Meeting Life” is an excerpt from the book.
