This Nike Shoebox Is Actually a Safe

You can buy safes that look like all kinds of things: soda cans, shaving cream, etc. The idea is to hide your valuables in something that looks not so valuable. I guess that’s why this safe disguised as a Nike shoe box is weird. Some pairs of Nike shoes can be very valuable. If anything, this will draw the eye of thieves and encourage them to Just Do It! You can’t buy the Mandem Safe just yet, but its creators do have prototypes made using five-millimeter thick folded steel on the inside, surrounded in an innocuous cardboard box. It even has pre-drilled holes on the bottom so you can secure it to a floor and prevent someone from running off with it. Your Nike box can’t do that.
