For the past several days I’ve literally been running an experiment with Pokémon Go, trying to hatch eggs while running through Brooklyn and Manhattan. I ran enough that I should have hatched the 10km egg I was incubating in the game, but I did not. For nearly 20km, its shell remained intact.
We’ve known for quite a while
that the Dark Knight would be paying a visit to the Joker and Harley in Suicide Squad—but a newly released press kit for the film has now confirmed that another superhero will be making a cameo in the movie.
Unless you’re spending a lot of time in mainland China you’ve probably never heard of LeEco. But you should know LeEco. In 2015 the company sold more phones than Apple. Its web series, Go Princess Go, was one of the most watched web series in China, before censors had it edited due to too many bisexual time travelling shenanigans. And two days ago it bought American television giant Vizio.
The nomadic lifestyle of a 3D printsmith is made all the more difficult when it comes to carrying your 3D printer from town to town. Ultimaker has heard your lamentations, though, and has come up with a solution that promises to make transporting a 3D printer a little easier: a $69 pair of shoulder straps.

Destroy Your Phone: Judge Says Political Robocalls Protected Under First Amendment
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt’s that time of year guys, when every politician under the sun has a robot call your house at prime eating time to encourage you to vote, or ask for money, or poll your feelings on Soccer Mom v Rotting Squash. At least this has been the case for many people in our fine nation of fifty states. But Arkansas likes to be different, and 35 years ago the state passed a law specifically forbidding political robocalls. Now a Federal court has declared the law unconstitutional.
I’m in the back of a Gregory’s Coffee in New York’s midtown across from Dronpes and flanked by Moots7, who are careful to tell me as little about themselves as possible. From what I can gather Moots is freewheeling, works in finance and comes from rural Colorado, while Dronpes is a developer at a tech company, hard-working with a cautious, controlling streak. Both are tall, stubbly white guys in their late 20s—the right age to have fond memories of the first generation Pokémon games. Six months ago they embarked on creating The Silph Road, a project that has become the Pokémon Go player’s bible.
I remember watching The Empire Strikes Back as a kid for the first time. When Lando betrayed Han and Han ended up frozen I wanted to kill Lando. If you are a fan of that scene and want a new plush to love (I know) you will want this plush Han Solo in carbonite doll… (nope)… stuffed animal… (nope)… whatever it is, you want it.
It’s much softer than real carbonite and debuted at the ThinkGeek SDCC booth this year. You can get it directly from the website if you missed it at the show. It sells for a scant $11.99 at ThinkGeek, a fraction of the bounty on Han. It’s 7.75″ (h) x 5.5″ (w) x 3.5″ (d), and meant for ages 3 and up. It might make a nice little pillow for watching the movies for the 197,965th time.
Initial setup for the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-1000 printer is exceedingly user-friendly and simple. The entire process is laid out for the user piece-by-piece, cartridge-by-cartridge. There’s a connectivity element as well, one in which you can connect to your PC or smartphone (if you happen to be in need of massive smartphone prints). We were provided several sets of Canon paper … Continue reading
