Guy Wins Plumbing with “On the John” Truck Decal

Plumbers don’t get enough respect. They literally get all of the sh*t jobs. They are the Rodney Dangerfields of the working man’s world. Well, after this you’ll have to respect Ontario based plumber Nick Huckson. He’s riding dirty. At least it looks like he is.

He had this custom vinyl decal made to promote his plumbing business. It’s cleverly designed to make it look like he’s on the toilet while driving his pickup. Apparently it’s been working great. His business is getting noticed and he’s probably up to his elbows in other people’s caca.

This is how you do plumbing people. You make it look like you are taking a massive dump in your truck. If nothing else, you’ll get plenty of attention.

T-Mobile One Plan Amped Up With 3G Hotspot Speeds And HD Video Streaming

t-mobile logo 2
The T-Mobile One plan was launched a couple of weeks ago. Magenta has done away with conventional data plans and buckets and now offers only one single plan that provides customers with unlimited data. However, subscribers had expressed some reservations about the new plan so T-Mobile has decided to amp it up and offer a T-Mobile One Plus option.

T-Mobile One is being launched five days ahead of schedule so it will actually be available on September 1st. Previously the carrier said that unlimited mobile hotspot would be offered at 2G (128kbps) speeds but now it’s going to offer unlimited mobile hotspot at 3G (512kbps) speeds.

The singular plan also allowed subscribers to stream video for free as long as it was in 480p in resolution. T-Mobile One subscribers will now be able to purchase 24 hour HD video passes. They cost $3 each and will provide them with 24 hours of unlimited HD video streaming, the HD passes will be available in October.

Magenta’s T-Mobile One Plus add-on is going to cost an additional $24 per month, per line. It will provide subscribers with unlimited 4G LTE mobile hotspot usage as well as unlimited HD day passes, meaning that users will be able to activate 24 hours of HD video streaming as frequently as they want.

T-Mobile One Plus subscribers will also get increased data speeds when roaming abroad. Speeds of up to 256kbps are promised when roaming in more than 140 countries supported by Simple Global, that’s double the normal roaming speed of 128kbps.

The carrier’s network prioritization remains in effect even with T-Mobile One Plus so if you use more than 26GB of mobile data every month you might see your speeds being reduced. T-Mobile says that those who use more than 26GB of data per month must ensure that primary data usage is on a smartphone or tablet.

Philips Hue Gets A $40 Motion Sensor

philips-hue-motion-sensor-2
Would you like your Philips Hue smart lighting system to do more than what it already does? If yes, then you might want to consider the new $40 motion sensor that Philips has now introduced for the Hue. It works like any other motion-sensing lighting system would. The lights will automatically switch on when the motion detector picks up some movement in front of it. However, there is one thing that makes it different from many similar products.

The Hue’s motion sensor takes its power from a battery which means that it can easily be placed anywhere around the house. Simply plug two AAA batteries and Philips says that the motion sensor is good for up to three years. The motion sensor’s angle can be adjusted up to 30 degrees horizontally and vertically because the back of this device is magnetic.

The $40 motion sensor will connect to the Hue Bridge and send a Philips Hue command whenever it picks up motion. This will turn on the lights in that particular area. The motion detector can also ascertain whether it’s night or day to ensure that it doesn’t turn on all of the lights during the day.

It’s a simple add-on for the Philips Hue lighting system that makes it even more useful than it already is. You can get it starting today from Philips for $39.99.
