iOS 9.3.4 Released With ‘Important Security Update’

iphoneIt was just recently that the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak was released, but it seems that Apple has since managed to patch it in their latest iOS update, iOS 9.3.4. The company has made the update available to iOS users and we reckon it might be worth updating to as it will address an important security flaw in iOS.

According to Apple’s support page, iOS 9.3.4 will fix “A memory corruption issue was addressed through improved memory handling.” If you have jailbroken your device, safe to say that updating to iOS 9.3.4 will no doubt revoke jailbreak privileges, but if you don’t jailbreak your iOS devices, or if you feel that maybe your device’s security is more important than having it jailbroken, then we guess you should probably download it.

It has been speculated by MacRumors that iOS 9.3.4 will most likely be the last update to iOS 9 ahead of the release of iOS 10, which last we checked was still in beta. However Apple does plan to release it later this fall, presumably alongside the new iPhones, meaning that from now until then unless something serious pops up, there should not be anymore iOS updates.

The update is pretty small so downloading and updating should be pretty fast, but just to be safe, do connect your device to a charger.

Samsung might push iris scanners even to mid-range phones

samsung-galaxy-note-7-live-sg-35One of the new stars of the new Galaxy Note 7 is undoubtedly its iris scanning technology. Although fast, reliable, and useful, especially when paired with Samsung’s equally new Secure Folders, iris scanners, as a whole, are still too new for mobile devices. But if Samsung has its way, that won’t be for long. According to the company’s mobile division … Continue reading

Moto Z Play Caught On Camera

Moto-Z-playA couple of months ago, Motorola launched the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. However if the rumors are to be believed, that’s not all the company has up their sleeves as we have also been hearing rumors that a certain Moto Z Play is in the works as well. Now thanks to photos posted on Google+ by Jerry Yin (via TechDroider), we have an idea of what it could look like.

Right off the bat the photos don’t look too different from the Moto Z and Z Force. The huge circular camera will still be in place, and there is also the connector in which users can attach Moto Mods to, but other than it doesn’t really look too different. However that’s pretty much where the similarities end.

From what we have heard previously, the Moto Z Play will come with lower-end specs compared to the Moto Z and Z Force, meaning that the handset is aimed at users on a budget, but who also want Moto Mod support. We have heard that the phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, 2/3GB of RAM depending on the rumors you buy into,  and will come with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

In any case this should of course be taken with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully with all these leaks, Motorola is close to making it official.
