SD Association announces UHS-III allowing for 624 MB/s speeds

The need for speed no longer just applies to cars. Or games related to cars. In an age where digital photography is prevalent, from phones, to cameras, to drones, being able to record and transfer image data at high speeds has become just as important as the camera sensors themselves. That is why the SD Association, the industry group tasked … Continue reading

Bernie Sanders: GOP Lawmakers Dodging Town Hall Events 'Shouldn't Be In Congress'

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has a strong message for lawmakers avoiding meetings with their constituents.

“If you don’t have the guts to face your constituents, then you shouldn’t be in the United States Congress,” Sanders told CNN’s Erin Burnett on Thursday.

Republican lawmakers have been avoiding town hall events after several recent meetings turned contentious. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) in particular made headlines for facing heated protests over their promises to repeal Obamacare. Republicans have accused angry attendees of being “paid protesters” rather than legitimately concerned citizens. But Sanders says that’s hogwash.

“If you need police at the meetings, that’s fine, have police at the meetings, have security at the meetings,” Sanders said. “But don’t use that as an excuse to run away from your constituents after you support repealing the Affordable Care Act, throwing 20 million people off of health insurance, doing away with preexisting conditions. If you are going to do all those things, answer the questions that your constituents have.”

Stephen Colbert Has An Ingenious Plan To Keep Donald Trump Off Twitter

Stephen Colbert is here to help.

The CBS “Late Show” host cited a Politico report that found President Donald Trump’s staff during the presidential campaign noticed he would tweet whenever he saw criticism of himself.

So to keep him off Twitter, his staff would make sure that he watched news that featured “a steady stream of praise.”

“And, as I’ve said, we do know he likes a steady stream,” Colbert cracked.

So to help keep Trump off Twitter now, Colbert created a special newscast the White House staff can show him anytime he needs that steady stream.

Check it out above.

'Late Show' Animation Expertly Skewers Donald Trump’s Reversal Of Transgender Bathroom Policies

Bathroom signs come together to send a message to President Donald Trump in this genius animation.

Following Trump’s reversal of transgender bathroom policies on Wednesday, the “Late Show” imagined just how the “brave souls that point the way to our nation’s bathrooms” are reacting to the news.

Spoiler: They’re not taking it lightly.

Find out how they’re responding in the clip above.

Conan O'Brien Hits Mexico City To Raise Cash For Donald Trump's Border Wall

Conan O’Brien is giving President Donald Trump a helping hand in financing his U.S.-Mexico border wall. Kind of.

The late night TV host is relocating his show to Mexico City for a special one-off episode next week. So he decided to use his spare time to (satirically) raise funds for the controversial project.

In a clip posted online Friday, the comedian hit the streets of Mexico’s capital to ask local residents for cash donations — and even offered them incentives in exchange for their money. After all, as the comedian told them, Trump has repeatedly stated that “Mexico will pay for the wall.”

See how successful O’Brien was (not) in raising money in the clip above.

His special ― titled “Conan Without Borders: Made In Mexico” ― is slated to air on TBS on March 1.

All the crew filming the show in front of an all-Mexican audience at a Mexico City studio hail from the country, and it will feature only guests from Mexico.

Arkansas Lawmaker Wants To Strip Clinton Name From Airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark (Reuters) – The largest and busiest airport in Arkansas would no longer be named after the only president and first lady from the state if a bill introduced in the legislature on Thursday succeeds.

The legislation would prohibit public buildings or civil works from being named for anyone living or who served in public office in the 10 years prior to the structure’s completion.

The bill makes no mention of former President Bill Clinton or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for whom the Little Rock airport was re-named four years ago – as Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field – but its author does not hesitate to identify its target.

“You have a president who was impeached for having an affair with an intern in the Oval Office and then disbarred,” said state Sen. Jason Rapert, the bill’s author and one of the Arkansas legislature’s most outspoken conservatives.

President Clinton was impeached in 1998 by the U.S. House of Representatives, which accused him of obstructing justice by lying under oath about a sexual relationship with a White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. Clinton was acquitted in a Senate trial the following year.

Hillary Clinton served as attorney to the city’s airport commission during her husband’s tenure as governor of Arkansas. At the conclusion of her husband’s presidency she won a Senate seat in New York.

She was appointed secretary of state by President Barack Obama, who defeated her for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Clinton won the nomination last year but was defeated by President Donald Trump.

Rapert, whose Senate district does not include Little Rock, said he introduced the legislation after “several Arkansans across the state” had expressed to him their “discomfort” with naming its largest airport after the controversial Clintons.

He conceded his legislation might not win approval.

“But we can prevent this sort of thing in the future,” he said.

City officials have defended re-naming the airport, although sometimes tersely.

“I think the name of the airport is appropriate and I support retaining it,” said Meredith Catlett, a member of the terminal’s governing commission.

Google Users Suddenly Find Themselves Signed Out Of Their Accounts

If you opened up your Google account today and suddenly found yourself logged out, you can rest assured that you have not been hacked. According to reports, it seems that quite a few Google users have suddenly found themselves signed out of their account and according to Google, there’s nothing to worry.

In a statement provided to Android Central, Google says that they’re looking into the issue but so far there are no signs that this is security related. “We’ve gotten reports about some users being signed out of their accounts unexpectedly. We’re investigating, but not to worry: there is no indication that this is connected to any phishing or account security threats.”

They also add, “Please try to sign-in again at accounts.google.com and if you cannot remember your password, please use this link (g.co/recover) to recover your password. If you use 2-Step Verification, there may have been a delay in receiving your SMS code. Please try again or use backup codes.”

I have personally found myself signed out of my account today and it did not look like there was anything suspicious. I simply signed back in and everything appeared to be normal. However we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information should any additional information surface, but for now it seems that there’s nothing to worry about.
