Titanfall 2: Colony Reborn DLC Set For March 30th Released

Titanfall 2 has been out for a while which means that gamers have probably gone through most, if not all of the content available for the game. Sure, there is multiplayer mode that helps keep things interesting, but if you’re looking for new items, features, and gameplay, then you might be interested to learn that the next DLC “Colony Reborn” is set for a release in the coming days.

In an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Respawn has announced that the Colony Reborn DLC will be released on the 30th of March, which is this coming Thursday. The DLC will introduce a new Colony map which according to Respawn, “This classic should be familiar to long time Titanfall fans. Set among a sleepy settler town, the dense center is filled with narrow streets, interiors, and rooftops surrounded by open Titan lanes.”

It will also introduce a new R-101 weapon that comes with an ACOG scope, and it will also come with a new “Curb Check” execution. There will also be new cosmetic items added to the game that gamers can purchase, such as call sign and camo packs, Prime Titans, and so on. Last but not least, the announcement also revealed that Respawn will be hosting another free trial weekend that will run from the 30th of March until the 3rd of April.

Respawn says, “This time, in addition to having full access to multiplayer, you can also play the Training Gauntlet and one of the missions from our critically acclaimed single-player campaign called The Beacon.”

Resident Evil Code: Veronica Could Be Coming To The PS4

Back in 2000, Capcom launched Resident Evil Code: Veronica which is basically another Resident Evil title that was designed for the Dreamcast. It eventually made its way onto the GameCube, PS2, PS3 and the Xbox 360, and despite the fact that the game is nearly two decades old, it looks like it could be arriving for the PS4 as well.

It has been noted that over in Germany, the country’s ratings board USK has rated the game for the PS4. Now obviously if the game was not intended for the PS4 it would not have even been rated at all, which has led to speculation that maybe we could be getting a PS4 version of the classic.

However the listing has since been removed, which means that either it wasn’t meant to be listed publicly, or USK made an error in posting and that it wasn’t even meant to be rated at all. However it would be an odd mistake given that the game is so old, so why would the USK even revisit the title, right?

In any case Capcom has yet to officially announce anything so it’s hard to say if Resident Evil Code: Veronica for the PS4 is an actual thing, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information. No word on whether it might see a release on the Xbox One given that it was released for the Xbox 360, but check back with us at a later date for more information if there is any to be had.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition Could Be Coming To Steam

Earlier this year, it was announced that Halo Wars 2 would be getting a physical release for Windows 10. In addition to the announcement, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition was also announced and would be bundled with the release. However the only downside is that the game is only available via the Microsoft Store.

However the good news is that if you don’t fancy purchasing games from the Microsoft Store for whatever reason, you might soon be able to grab a copy of the game via Steam. This is according to a recent tweet by Gamecheat13 (via Game Rant) where he revealed that the game is most likely going to be available from Steam.

For those unfamiliar, Gamecheat13 is a Halo modder and data miner who has in the past been banned from Xbox Live after leaking the Halo Wars 2 soundtrack, so safe to say that he has a bit of notoriety when it comes to unannounced Halo news. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is a port of the original Halo Wars game from back in 2009 which improved visuals and audio as well as the option of supporting 4K resolutions.

It will also come bundled with the original DLCs such as Limited Edition’s Fireball Warthog and Honor Guard Wraith. No word on when exactly it will be coming onto Steam, but Game Rant points out that the Halo World Championships are taking place this weekend which could be the perfect platform for Microsoft to make an announcement.

Mexicans Who Help Build Donald Trump's Wall Are 'Traitors,' Top Archdiocese Says

Mexicans who help build President Donald Trump’s planned border wall would be acting immorally and should be deemed traitors, the Catholic Archdiocese of Mexico said on Sunday, turning up the heat on a simmering dispute over the project.

In a provocative editorial, the country’s biggest Archdiocese sought to increase pressure on the government to take a tougher line on companies aiming to profit from the wall, which has strained relations between Trump and the Mexican government.

“Any company intending to invest in the wall of the fanatic Trump would be immoral, but above all, its shareholders and owners should be considered traitors to the homeland,” said the editorial in Desde la fe, the Archdiocese’s weekly publication.

On Tuesday, Economy Minister Ildefonso Guajardo warned firms it would not be in their “interests” to participate in the wall. But the editorial accused the government of responding “tepidly” to those eyeing the project for business.

A spokesman for the Archdiocese, which centers on Mexico City and is presided over by the country’s foremost Roman Catholic cleric, Cardinal Norberto Rivera, said the editorial represented the views of the diocese.

Trump says he wants to build the wall to stop illegal immigrants from crossing the U.S. southern border. He has pledged Mexico will pay for the wall, which the Mexican government adamantly says it will not do.

The Desde la fe editorial, which was published online, said the barrier would only feed prejudice and discrimination.

“In practice, signing up for a project that is a serious affront to dignity is shooting yourself in the foot,” it wrote. Mexican cement maker Cemex has said it is open to providing quotes to supply raw materials for the wall but will not take part in the bidding process to build it.

Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, another company specializing in construction materials, has also signaled readiness to work on the project.

Samsung ‘Guard S8’ Protection Program Rumored

All phones come with warranty, but exactly what that warranty will or will not cover will really depend on the manufacturer, and we suppose also depending on the laws of the country and what are the minimum things that companies need to cover. However with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8, we could be looking at some kind of enhanced protection plan.

This is according to a recent post on WinFuture.de in which a certain “Samsung Guard S8” program was revealed. Assuming the translation is right and the information is accurate, the Guard S8 program basically involves offering Galaxy S8 owners quick repair appointments, a free one-time display replacement, and an extra year of warranty, just to name a few.

It is unclear at this point if this Guard S8 program will be free for all Galaxy S8 owners, free for those who pre-order the phones, or if it will be an opt-in service that customers will have to pay extra for, but we should have the additional details in the coming days. These enhanced protection programs aren’t new and remind us a bit of plans such as HTC’s Uh-Oh program and LG’s protection plan for the LG G4 back in 2015.

In any case like we said details of the Galaxy S8 and its features and services will be revealed on the 29th of March, 2017, so be sure to check back with us then if you’d like to find out out.

Possible Galaxy S8 Camera Launch Shortcut Revealed

While huge and rich displays with high-resolutions, fast and powerful processors, and amazing cameras are great and marketable features of smartphones, sometimes it is the small details that helps bring the experience to the next level. In Samsung’s case with the upcoming Galaxy S8, a possible camera launch shortcut could be one of them.

According to a recently leaked image, the settings of the Galaxy S8 have been revealed and according to those settings, there is a shortcut to launch the Galaxy S8’s camera just by pressing on the phone’s power button twice. Prior to this, Samsung offered up the shortcut by double pressing on the home button.

However if you recall all the various leaks we’ve seen so far, one of the biggest changes to the Galaxy S8 would be the removal of the home button. This means that the home button shortcut won’t work anymore (obviously), and we guess Samsung has decided to turn to the use of the power button instead.

This probably isn’t the most groundbreaking feature of the upcoming phone, where the rumors are pointing towards a beast of a device, but like we said these quality of life additions should be able to help to round things out for users.

Google Home Just Gained A Bunch Of New Skills

Just like how smartphone apps really help to make a platform great (or terrible), skills are what make devices like the Amazon Echo and Google Assistant more functional and useful. Now Amazon’s Alexa has had a headstart on Google and boasts over 10,000 skills, but it looks like Google is slowly but surely catching up.

In a report from VentureBeat, it seems that Google has recently added about 15 new skills/services to Google Assistant (and in turn Google Home). These new services aren’t really related to each other and will vary, ranging from getting motivational quotes from Jaden Smith (Will Smith’s son, for those wondering), getting movie ratings from IMDB, finding out the weather on Mars, and so on.

However there are some notable services such as being able to keep track of your food’s expiration dates with Chefling, meaning that Google Assistant will soon be able to remind you that a particular food in your fridge is about to expire. There is also a service that is linked with Computer Builder that will help walk users through the steps of building their own PC.

If these sound like interesting skills and services you’d like to access, note that they should already be live and you can check them out via the Google Home app on your phone under the “Services” menu.
