Destiny 2 PC Release Confirmed

Bungie is gradually revealing more information about the next Destiny title. Having confirmed a couple of days back that it’s going to be called Destiny 2, it released a teaser trailer for the new game yesterday which suggested that the new game is going to have an element of humor about it as well. However, the developer has confirmed one of the biggest changes that it’s making with this title. It has confirmed the Destiny 2 PC release.

It had been rumored multiple times over the past few months that Destiny 2 would be released for PC. The original title only came out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as their previous-gen consoles so naturally, PC gamers felt left out.

Bungie has confirmed today that Destiny 2 PC release is going to take place later this year. The PC version is also going to be available in multiple editions. The standard edition will have only the base game and there’s also going to be a version with a season pass.

PC gamers will also get a digital deluxe edition which features both of those things as well as bonus in-game loot. There will be limited and special editions of Destiny 2 for PC that will be geared towards ardent collectors.

Those who pre-order the game will receive access to an early beta but Bungie hasn’t confirmed when the beta will go live. It’s going to reveal more information about Destiny 2 this summer.

Twitter Stops Counting Usernames In 140 Character Limit

The 140 character limit is Twitter’s defining feature and yet it can also be frustrating for some as they have to break down whatever they want to share in multiple tweets. While Twitter removed the limit from Direct Messages a long time back it’s not going to do the same for tweets. However, the company has been working on ways to allow users to express more in 140 characters and it has now decided that users will no longer count against that limit.

When Twitter users reply to someone or a group now, all of the @usernames won’t count against that tweet’s 140 character limit.

It has also simplified conversations following this change. Who users reply to will appear above the tweet text rather than inside the text. Users can tap on “Replying to” to see and control who is tagged in that tweet.

With @usernames no longer being featured in the tweet itself, users will now see what people are saying easily instead of seeing lots of @usernames at the start of a tweet.

Twitter says that this change is based on the feedback it has received from users aside from its own research. The company says that it will continue to think of more ways to make the experience better.

Game Of Thrones Season 7 Teaser Trailer Released

To say that fans across the globe are just waiting for the next Game of Throne season to air would be an understatement. The previous season left many questions that have yet to be answered and they’re obviously looking forward to Game of Thrones season 7 to find out the answers. HBO has started the hype machine, as if it even needs to, for the series by releasing the first Game of Thrones season 7 teaser trailer.

The first Game of Thrones season 7 teaser trailer gives us a look at some of the most loved, or hated depending on whose side you’re on. It starts off with Jon Snow who has assumed his place at Winterfell followed by the one and only Mother of Dragons. Cersei Lannister makes an appearance as well as she takes her place upon the Iron Throne.

The trailer ends with Cersei exhaling visibly which shows that winter has finally arrived in the realm. If that didn’t drive the point home, we also get a close up of a White Walker’s eyeball, which means there’s lots of action to expect in the new season.

There’s only going to be one more season after this so excitement’s rather high as fans wait to see how all of the loose ends in the story are tied up. Game of Thrones season 7 premieres July 16th only on HBO.

Download Windows 10 Creators Update Manually Starting April 5th

Microsoft confirmed yesterday that it’s going to start rolling out the free Windows 10 Creators Update from April 11th. Since it’s going to be a phased roll out, it’s going to take a few weeks before the update is released for users across all regions. Those who just can’t wait for the over-the-air release have another option. Microsoft has said today that it will allow users to download Windows 10 Creators Update manually starting April 5th.

This means that those who aren’t afraid of putting in some extra work to get the new software will get it a full week before Microsoft starts rolling it out over-the-air.

Microsoft confirmed through a post on its official blog today that it will be possible to download Windows 10 Creators Update manually using the Update Assistant from April 5th.

Anyone who has a licensed version of Windows 10 will be able to use this method to get on the latest version of Windows 10. The process will require users to download the update’s ISO file from Microsoft’s server and then mount it using the File Explorer to run the installer.

Those who don’t want to wait for this can look forward to April 11th when Microsoft starts rolling it out for newer PCs first before making it available to older devices. Windows 10 Creators Update for Windows Phone will be rolled out starting April 25th.

Destiny 2 Release Date Confirmed, Trailer Out Now

Bungie confirmed the much-awaited Destiny 2 earlier this week and it has since been providing us with more information about the title. It even released a teaser trailer for the game yesterday. Bungie has confirmed some major news about the new game today and it has also published the first proper trailer for Destiny 2. Bungie has even confirmed when it’s going to release the title.

Earlier today, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 is going to be released for PC as well. The first game was only released for previous-gen and current-gen consoles so it’s good to see that it’s finally bringing PC gamers into the loop as well.

The Destiny 2 trailer that has been released today doesn’t really show much of the gameplay, I suspect the first gameplay trailer won’t arrive before E3 2017, but it does provide more information about the game’s world and story.

“You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities,” explains Bungie, adding that “To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.”

Destiny 2 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is available for pre-order right now and a beta is expected to go live this summer. Bungie will show more of the game on May 18th when it conducts the first hands-on gameplay reveal live stream.

The Destiny 2 release date is September 8th.

Twitter eases character limit restriction in reply tweets

The very limited nature of tweets is part of Twitter’s appeal, but at times the 140-character restriction can get in the way of expressing a full thought. To help solve that latter problem without opening the floodgates to long tweets, Twitter is adjusting how reply tweets count their characters, making it possible to produce longer replies without technically boosting the … Continue reading
