If you’re planning to pick up the Galaxy S8 and use facial recognition to secure the handset, think again. A new demonstration of the feature shows it being easily fooled using a photo of the handset’s owner, and coinciding with the revelation is word from sources that Samsung allegedly considers the feature as just ‘for fun.’ The phone also offers … Continue reading
The Trump Administration Banned Laptops, So One Airline Is Passing Them Out
Posted in: Today's ChiliOne friendly airline bought laptops to loan its passengers on flights affected by the Trump administration’s new electronics ban. The rule, which took effect on Saturday, forbids any device larger than a smartphone on flights to the U.S. from parts of the Middle East and North Africa.
Qatar Airways announced on Thursday it will provide free laptops for passengers in business class so they can keep working while they fly.
Business travelers on Qatar will receive a USB device before boarding so they can download work from their personal computers. They’ll then have to pass their personal laptops to gate staff to be stowed with the plane’s checked baggage, and continue where they left off on the loaners.
Some of the nine airlines hit with the ban have responded with free Wi-Fi and iPads, but Qatar is the first to buy computers for travelers’ use.
The airline “has taken the notable step to purchase laptops available for loan on all of their U.S. flights, meaning uninterrupted productivity and service throughout their journey,” chief executive Akbar Al Baker said in a press release. “…We have not rested until we could offer a true solution to our passengers.”
Non-business travelers on Qatar will get an hour of free Wi-Fi and a special rate of $5 for access for an entire flight.
Meanwhile, Emirates launched its own gate-check service for laptops and tablets.
Etihad is offering free Wi-Fi and loaner iPads in some classes.
And Turkish Airlines is rolling out free Wi-Fi.
While the ban is inconvenient, aviation experts say it could be based on a legitimate threat. Kudos to these airlines for making the best of a sticky situation.

Old habits die hard ― including sex with an ex.
Post-breakup sexual encounters are pretty common: A 2013 study published in the Journal of Adolescent Research found that one-third of 792 young adults, ages 17 to 24, reported having had sex with an ex.
There are plenty of cases where that would be a bad idea ― but some people are pretty damn happy they did it. Below, men and women on the secret-sharing app Whisper share why they’re glad they had one last go-around with their exes.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes it’s the caption that speaks directly to you.
Kenzie Brenna is an actress recovering from eating and body dysmorphic disorders who regularly preaches self-love to her 151,000 Instagram followers. At first glance, the photo she posted of her stomach last week might look like many others on her page. Her thought process, however, will resonate with anyone who’s struggled to find their confidence and maintain a positive body image.
The image shows what Brenna calls her “least favorite” body part ― the stretch marks on her stomach ― and her caption details the many thoughts she wrestles about them throughout a given day. They range from “they actually look kinda cool” to “you’d probably be more comfortable without them,” ultimately ending with the accurate conclusion that Brenna is perfect just the way she is, because “perfect isn’t a feeling.”
“They’re not usually this noticeable.”
“If you only had the money to get rid on them.”
“They actually look kinda cool. Sorta like a the beginning of a story.”
“More like the beginning of a LONG story.”
“Would I erase my story to not have these?”
“You’d probably be more comfortable without them.”
“Would I truly though?”
“Okay ask yourself the question.”
“I don’t wanna.”
“Just do it.”
“Does this affect the quality of who I am?”
“No.”
“Would it make you a better person if you got rid of these marks?”
“No.”
“Would it make you kinder, more generous and a better lover if you had the money to erase them?”
“No.”
“Then you’re perfect.”
“I don’t feel perfect.”
“That’s cause perfect isn’t a feeling.”
Brenna’s post is a reminder to us all that we don’t always need to feel 100 percent about anything in our lives or with our bodies, but that in time and with practice, appreciation gets a little bit easier.
“I PROMISE if you practice self-love, you will have more loving moments with yourself than you could ever dream of,” she wrote.
We’ll be bookmarking this promptly for our next off day, thank-you-very-much.

Three Women Are Trying To Close The Orgasm Gap By Giving Away Free Sex Toys
Posted in: Today's ChiliThree software developers from Indianapolis are giving away free sex toys to support a truly feminist cause: closing the orgasm gap.
Jannet, Lexi and Shirin had been giving away sex toys, lube and condoms for years; offering free toys at health clinics, feminist gatherings, and even protests. But it wasn’t until January that they decided to launch their very own website called Sexy Liberation. (Last names have been withheld for privacy reasons.)
“So far it’s been wildly successful,” Jannet told The Huffington Post. And it’s no surprise why.
On the Sexy Liberation website, shoppers can purchase a lipstick bullet vibrator, a silicone butt plug and a vibrating cock ring all for free. Yep, for free.
“Our mission is to provide free sex toys to those who are less fortunate, curious, or both,” the Sexy Liberation tagline reads.
Sexy Liberation does charge for some items ― such as a pink rabbit vibrator, kegel balls and a flogger, among other toys. While these products cost money, most items are sold at a discounted price. Jannet told HuffPost that they use the profits from these paid products to subsidize the free ones.
Jannet explained that sexual exploration is “absolutely” a feminist issue and that’s exactly why the trio is offering this service to everyone, but women specifically.
“This orgasm gap is not local to one region on this fine planet,” she said. “Our goal is a globally-oriented response to the ingrained societal messages that create barriers to people’s sexual enjoyment ― especially women’s. Women across the globe receive cultural messages that encourage them to put others’ needs before their own. Women’s sexual enjoyment and wellbeing matter. That’s why we do what we do. “
According to the website’s FAQ page, Sexy Liberation is open to suggestions for which free products they offer on the site. If shoppers have a product suggestion they can submit requests by email.
Sexy Liberation’s main goal is to help women understand their bodies and enable them to embrace their own sources of pleasure.
“A woman who knows herself sexually will feel more confident talking honestly with her partner about her needs and desires,” the website reads. “If you are woman in a relationship that is having trouble getting off, we are here for you.”
Head over to Sexy Liberation to pick up a free or discounted sex toy.

If you’re all about having a smart home, then you likely dream of having a similar setup to Tony Stark’s workshop. Everything is a motion or spoken word away from popping up before your very eyes. Currently it takes no small measure of work and money to have access to even a modicum of that same fluidity throughout your home. The most a fair number of us could manage right now is having Alexa hooked up to some smart lights that turn on or off when we say so.
Should you be the type of person who is always watching something, then having a screen pop up wherever you’d like would be a venture worth pursuing. Enter in the Beam, a smart projector that will screw into any light socket, and give you a projector wherever you’d like. This means you can watch your favorite show on the kitchen counter while cooking, wake up to the news on the wall by your bed, or watch a movie in the tub.
This is based off of the Pico LED projector which puts out 100 lumens, and has an image size range of 5-150 inches. This will connect with any app that’s on Beam, and you can control it through your smartphone or tablet. This is a $449.99 purchase, which makes it something that you’ll have to think over a bit more thoroughly before jumping into.
Available for purchase on Amazon

While the Mars rovers are searching the red planet for water over the next decade, there are whole moons full of the stuff just waiting for us to come visit. At least, that’s the theory. But missions to Europa and Titan are still hypothetical, so in the meantime NASA is toying with ideas about how a lander would get through the miles of ice that lie on top of these extraterrestrial oceans.
