The first teaser trailer for Andy Muscietti’s It opens with the ultimate loss of innocence, when raincoat-clad Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) chases a paper boat right into the clutches of a certain sewer-dwelling clown. It only gets darker from there.
While it doesn’t have the brand recognition of Nest’s learning Thermostat, the Ecobee3 Smart Thermostat one-ups its most popular competitor by including a wireless remote sensor that you can place elsewhere in your house, giving the thermostat a more accurate picture of your home’s overall temperature. Plus, it’ll…
Looking back at older versions of software makes you wonder how we even managed to use them years ago. Dusty iterations of programs like Word, Excel, and even Photoshop were crude as hell by today’s standards. But what if Snapchat—Mark Zuckerberg’s favorite ephemeral app—had existed on desktop computers in the ‘90s?…
If you looked at that Boba Fett bowler hat we talked about a while back and though it was awesome, only if it wasn’t so Clockwork Orange, you are in luck. Here’s more of an everyman’s piece of bounty hunter headwear, a Boba Fett snapback hat.
IThat means the back of the hat has that plastic bit that snaps to fit the hat to your head. The front of the hat has the Boba Fett helmet design on it and a normal brim. The hat is made of cotton, and doesn’t appear to have the mesh back to let heat out in warm environments, which might be a problem if you live on Mandalore, which is one of those desert planets with an “inhospitable” climate.
The Boba Fett hat can be yours in all it’s glory for $24.99(USD) at ThinkGeek.
Destiny 2 Teaser Trailer Released
Posted in: Today's ChiliHaving officially confirmed Destiny 2, Bungie can now go about teasing fans until it’s ready to reveal more information about this much-awaited title. The developer has released a Destiny 2 teaser trailer merely days after sending out the first piece of artwork for the game. There’s already a lot of hype surrounding the game so it’s not like Bungie needs any help in that department.
Fans will not be happy to find out that this Destiny 2 cinematic trailer doesn’t show off any gameplay visuals which they have been most anxious to see. It doesn’t reveal any gameplay details and doesn’t reveal any plans for the release date or platforms.
The teaser trailer introduces us to Cayde-6 who is voiced by Nathan Fillion. Cayde-6 is nursing a drink at the bar as he shares memories of adventures that featured “a lot of shooting.” The idea here appears to be adding a bit of humor to it all.
It would make sense for Bungie to do that given that it had to bear criticism for the very serious tone of the first game and not to mention the fact that many thought the story was somewhat confusing as well. This teaser trailer should give fans hope that Bungie has addressed some of those pain points and that the new title will be much better.
Destiny 2 is expected to be released later this year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in September.

It has long been possible to broadcast a live stream on Facebook so that your followers can see where you’re at and what you’re up to. It has also been testing Live 360 which basically allows users to do the same thing but by using a 360 degree camera. Facebook today confirmed that it has opened up 360 degree live streams to all users. They just need to have the right equipment for it.
You can either use professional gear like Nokia’s Ozo camera or the Insta360 Nano and Air or even the new Gear 360 camera from Samsung to broadcast 360 degree video live to Facebook.
All you need to do is configure the camera with your smartphone as per the manufacturer’s instructions and then decide who you want to stream to. Once that’s done, insert a description and go live. It’s as simple as that.
Those who have tuned into the 360 degree live stream can see it from all angles by just rotating their phones. If they want a properly immersive experience they can stick their phone inside a virtual reality headset like the Gear VR, Google Daydream View or watch it on the Oculus Rift.
Facebook has added spatial audio to make sure that the entire experience feels more immersive. This means that viewers will be able to experience 360 degree sound just as they would in real life.

Autopilot is what Tesla calls its suite of semi-autonomous features. The company has sent out a new software update today for Tesla cars built since October 2016 which adds advanced semi-autonomous driving features to Autopilot. If you’re wondering why this update is only for cars built since October 2016, that’s because Tesla started producing its Model S and Model X cars with a more advanced sensor package.
Tesla Software 8.1 is being rolled out today for Model S and Model X vehicles that have been built since October 2016. The update brings several new and enhanced features for the Autopilot semi-autonomous suite on these cards.
Auto Lange Change is a new Autosteer feature include in this update. The car can change lanes on its own when the driver activates the turn signal on a multi-lane road. The High Speed Autosteer (80 mph / 130 kph) maintains the car’s position inside a lane and in some situations even lets the driver take their hands off the wheel.
The Summon feature enables the car to pull in and out of parking spaces even when the driver isn’t inside the car. It can be done using the mobile app or by holding down a button on the car’s key.
So this update finally brings many of the advanced Autopilot features that have already been present on previous models to those built since October 2016. Features still missing include automatic emergency braking, automatic windshield wipers, and high beam headlights.

For some reason, Google has taken an awfully long time to release an official Google Calendar iPad app. While Calendar has been available on iOS for a very long time now it was only designed for iPhones and wasn’t natively compatible with the iPad. Now with the iPad being the tablet of choice for millions of people across the globe, Google’s Calendar product was missing out on many potential users, and the company seems to have finally got its head around that which is why the official Google Calendar iPad app is now available for download.
Two years after it launched Google Calendar for iOS, the company has finally updated the app with native support for the iPad. This enables Google Calendar to take full advantage of the iPad’s larger screen real estate.
The update doesn’t bring any additional new features for the app so support for the iPad is pretty much it but new features are said to be in the pipeline. The official Google Calendar iPad app should be able to provide more tablet-oriented features in the months to come.
Google is said to be developing a Today View widget for the app which will show users their upcoming schedule on both the device’s lock screen as well as in the notification center. It has been a big feature request since the app arrived and it should be launched for users in the not so distant future.
