One of the most useful things that Facebook has done with Oculus is (ironically) make it work on Samsung’s GearVR and host 360 degree photos and videos that users can check out on the headset. The social network has now expanded that idea greatly wit…
The Galaxy S8’s face and fingerprint detection are about more than unlocking your phone… if Samsung has its way, you’ll use them to sign into seemingly everything online. The company is expanding its Samsung Pass feature to use biometrics to sign i…
There’s a very real fear that processor speed upgrades will slow to a crawl as it becomes increasingly difficult to make denser chips. Don’t tell that to a team of researchers at MIT and in Chicago, though — they’ve devised a chip-making technique…
Last year, Disney announced that a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph would be coming in 2018. They also announced that sequel would be about Ralph not breaking video games this time, but breaking the internet. Well, at CinemaCon on Tuesday, Disney announced the film’s full title and it’s a doozy.
Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is very important because as you probably know, Samsung is in a bit of trouble. The Note 7 explosions from last summer continue to haunt the company, and Samsung’s leadership is currently embroiled in a scandal that is, to put it gently, totally bananas. The company needs a big win lest it be…
On Tuesday, President Trump pledged to end the “war on coal” by rolling back the Clean Power Plan, an Obama-era federal policy that compels states to reduce carbon emissions from power plants. China responded Wednesday, reaffirming its commitment to investing in clean energy and honoring the Paris Agreement, an…
Uranus Smells Like Farts
Posted in: Today's ChiliScientists have lots of questions about Uranus. Why does Uranus look the way it does, why did Uranus form the way it did, why does Uranus differ so much from other gas giants, like Jupiter and Saturn? But I had a more important question.
Back in grade school, we judged how well off you were by the size of the box of crayons you brought to class. If you had that giant 64-color box with the built in sharpener, your family clearly was rolling in dough. If you brought the generic colors in an 8-box you were on the opposite end of the economic scale. These days, schools put the middle-of-the-road 24 color box on the required school supply list to make things more equal.
Now, Crayola has announced that it will be killing off one of the Crayons in the 24 count box. At first glance you might think perhaps the shitty white Crayon would get the axe, but that one is needed to make different shades of the other colors. It’s the only way you got gray back in the day unless your rich parents sprung for the 64-count box.
This is the same thing that Monopoly pulled when it retired the thimble. The announcement of the retired color and what color will replace it will come on March 31, also known as National Crayon Day (who knew?) My money’s on that ever so slightly different blue color in the top row.

It has been a while since Google released Android 7.0 Nougat but as is the case with Android updates, it’s going to be a while before the update makes its way to all compatible smartphones. Those who own carrier-locked devices know all too well that they get held up by the carrier. HTC 10 owners in the United States who own this handset on Verizon will be happy to find out today that the Nougat update for their device will be out tomorrow.
This has been confirmed in a tweet by HTC’s Vice President of Product Management @moversi who said that the technical approval has now been awarded to the update and that the over-the-air release would start on March 30th. That’s tomorrow.
HTC 10 owners on Verizon have certainly had to wait for a considerable amount of time to get their hands on this update. HTC first released it for the unlocked version of the HTC 10 in the United States back in December last year. More variants of this device have received the Android 7.0 Nougat update in various markets across the globe since then.
Those who own this handset on T-Mobile or Sprint won’t be counting down the hours because both carriers have already released Android 7.0 Nougat for the HTC 10 over the past few weeks.
HTC 10 Verizon owners! Greatly appreciate all your patience and support. N OS is here! We have TA and OTA to start on Thur 3/30. Thank you!

Google may have confirmed the release of Android Wear 2.0 last month and brought it to market with two new smartwatches called the LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport but it’s yet to roll it out for existing smartwatches. That’s changing today. It has has been confirmed which are the three existing Android Wear smartwatches that are now receiving the much-awaited Android Wear 2.0 update.
Google was actually going to release Android Wear 2.0 late last year but it decided to delay the release because it felt that more time was required to polish the update. It released it on February 8th alongside two new smartwatches from LG.
A Google Community Manager has confirmed on the official Android Wear support page that the Android Wear 2.0 update is first rolling out to the Tag Heuer Connected, Fossil Q Founder, and Casio Smart Outdoor Watch wearable devices.
The community manager further added that the Android Wear 2.0 update is rolling out starting today for these handsets and that it will land on all devices by no later than April 4th.
The Huawei Watch was also expected to be one of the first to receive this update, it was said to get this update in March, but Google’s list doesn’t include this smartwatch at this point in time. So it may be a while before Android Wear 2.0 is released for Huawei Watch owners.
