Author Stephen King has a message for people who voted for President Donald Trump and still support him.
The horror master is likely referencing recent polls that showed Trump voters weren’t having any second thoughts about their pick for president. A Washington Post/ABC News poll found only 2 percent had any regrets.
At the same time, Trump approaches his 100-day mark as president with a record-low approval rating overall and a fairly meager list of accomplishments.
King has long been critical of Trump. In March, he mocked the president’s unproven wiretapping claims in a series of tweets. And last year, prior to the election, King shared this:

Trump Tax Plan Would Slash Corporate Tax Rates, Offer Breaks On Overseas Profits
Posted in: Today's ChiliPresident Donald Trump is proposing to slash the corporate income tax rate and offer multinational businesses a steep tax break on overseas profits brought into the United States, officials said late on Tuesday.
With financial markets eagerly anticipating a White House tax plan, Trump will also call for a sharp cut in the top rate on pass-through businesses, including many small business partnerships and sole proprietorships, to 15 percent from 39.6 percent, an administration official said.
He will propose cutting the income tax rate paid by public corporations to 15 percent from 35 percent, and allowing multinationals to bring in overseas profits at a tax rate of 10 percent versus 35 percent now, the official said.
Trump’s proposal will not include a controversial “border-adjustment” tax on imports that was in earlier proposals floated by Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives as a way to offset revenue losses resulting from tax cuts.
Trump’s tax blueprint will fall short of the kind of comprehensive tax reform that Republicans have long discussed, and serve chiefly as a guidepost for lawmakers in the House and Senate.
“We’re driving this a little bit more,” a senior White House official told a group of reporters late on Tuesday.
The plan is not expected by analysts to include any proposals for raising new revenue to offset that lost by the tax cuts, and so, if enacted, it would potentially add billions of dollars to the federal deficit.
Trump sent Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and National Economic Council Director Gary Cohn to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to brief lawmakers on the plan to be unveiled on Wednesday afternoon, likely by Mnuchin.
Mnuchin has been leading the administration’s effort to craft a tax package that can win support in Congress, although the proposals would have a long way to go before becoming law, even with Republicans in control of both the House and Senate.
Mnuchin has said the cuts will pay for themselves by generating more economic growth but fiscal hawks, potentially some in Trump’s own Republican Party, along with Democrats, are certain to question these claims.
Trump also may cap the individual top tax rate at 33 percent, repeal the estate and alternative minimum taxes and cut taxes for the middle class, analysts said.
Whether Trump will include provisions that could attract Democratic votes, such as a proposal to fund infrastructure spending or a child-care tax credit as proposed by his daughter Ivanka, is still the subject of speculation.
CAPITOL HILL MEETING
Mnuchin and Cohn, both veterans of investment bank Goldman Sachs (GS.N), went to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell’s office on Tuesday evening, where they all met with House Speaker Paul Ryan, and the chairmen of the House and Senate tax committees, Orrin Hatch and Kevin Brady, respectively.
Hatch called it a “preliminary” 30-minute meeting and participants described it as positive and productive.
As Mnuchin left the Capitol he told reporters there is “no question” the Trump administration and Republicans in the Senate and House agree on the “fundamental principles of tax reform.”
The senior White House official said Trump would like to see Congress pass tax reform by the middle of autumn.
Trump has struggled to advance his domestic agenda, including taxes. With his 100th day as president approaching on Saturday, he has yet to offer formal legislation to Congress or win passage of a major bill he favors.
Some Washington policy analysts said the White House plan could clash in some ways with a broader tax plan shaped months ago by House Republicans, and complicate the consensus-building needed for full tax reform, a political feat not accomplished since 1986 when President Ronald Reagan pulled it off.
The House Republican plan, championed by Ryan and Brady, proposed a 20 percent corporate tax rate. Many U.S. corporations, especially large multinationals, already pay well below the statutory 35 percent tax rate but have been campaigning for a formal rate cut for many years.
The Ryan-Brady plan did include “pay-fors,” including a proposed “border adjustment” tax that would favor exports and discourage imports.
When asked after Tuesday’s briefing if Republicans had ruled out including a border adjustment tax in a tax overhaul, Hatch said: “I wouldn’t say that. The House hasn’t given up on that but they’ve acknowledged it needs some work.”
Separately cutting the top tax rate for pass-through businesses, which account for most U.S. companies, could benefit Trump himself, said Frank Clemente, executive director of Americans for Tax Fairness, a Democratic activist group.
“In trying to slash taxes for pass-through business entities, Trump is seeking to dramatically reduce his own tax bill,” he said in a statement.

Rigiet handheld stabilizer review

But, try as they might, there are still things they will not be able to do well because of the constraints of space and physics. Low-light performance is one, stabilization is another. While even a little OIS helps, you’ll inevitably need some outside help. That is where Rigiet … Continue reading
Life is just an endless soap opera episode for White House press secretary Sean Spicer. At least that’s how President Donald Trump reportedly imagines it.
According to the Washington Post, Trump won’t fire Spicer because he “gets great ratings” and likened the press secretary’s daily news briefings to “a daytime soap opera,” an analogy that intrigued Stephen Colbert.
On Tuesday night, the “Late Show” host presented viewers with scenes from “The Bold and the Babbling,” which interspersed moments from Spicer’s press briefings with soap stars delivering some seriously high drama.

Trevor Noah completely trashed Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office on Monday, so when the “Daily Show” host went after Trump again on Tuesday ― this time targeting his ever-changing plans for a border wall ― the “president” decided to talk to Noah himself.
“I don’t know why Trump and his people don’t just lose the whole wall idea,” Noah said. “Just admit that the whole thing is ridiculous and move on. At the end of 100 days the president should be talking about his legislation not his stupid wall.”
That’s when President Trump, as portrayed by comedy writer Anthony Atamanuik, interrupted the show. POTUS’ arrival elicited both cheers and moans from the crowd, and Trump was as pompous and orange as ever.
Trump confronted Noah for saying “some very not nice things about me,” before hurling his signature insult at the late-night TV host.
“This isn’t just a show,” he said. “This is fake news.”
Noah’s rebuttal was simple: “Yeah, but that’s the point. We’re a comedy show, Mr. President.”
Atamanuik’s appearance as Trump sets the stage for Comedy Central’s upcoming late-night series “The President Show,” which makes its debut Thursday night. The new show gives the “president” a chance to unpack the day’s news headlines and stand up for himself as a late-night host ― while all the other late-night shows tear him down.
Prepare yourself for Trump’s induction into the world of late night by watching Noah face off with POTUS in the clip above.

Heroes Of The Storm 2.0 Is Now Live
Posted in: Today's ChiliBack towards the end of March, Blizzard announced their plans to revamp their MOBA Heroes of the Storm in the form of version 2.0. The game will still play roughly the same, but Blizzard will be instituting some major changes under the hood that will hopefully result in a better overall experience.
For those who are curious about the changes, you’ll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has since released a major patch for the game that basically makes Heroes of the Storm 2.0 live! Gamers who are interested can fire up the game and take it for a spin, and also in case you forgot, logging in from now until the 22nd of May will result in 100 gems which basically allows gamers to redeem 20 heroes for free, so you’ll probably want to take advantage of that.
The patch will also see the introduction of Overwatch’s Genji into the game, so if you’re looking for more Overwatch characters to play around with in Heroes of the Storm, you’ll have one more to add to the list. The patch will also introduce a new battleground in the form of Hanamura, a new player progression system, progression rewards, new items, and more.
If you’re interested in all the details then you can head on over to Blizzard’s website to check out the patch notes.

Xiaomi has been making waves around the world with their smartphones that are affordable and powerful and also in some cases beautifully designed. Unfortunately the company’s presence in the West is a bit lacking but apparently this is something that they are working towards rectifying in the next few years.
In an interview with CNET, Xiaomi’s senior vice president Wang Xiang revealed that the company was still looking to break into the US market, and that they are looking at that happening in the next 2 years or so. Wang doesn’t have a specific timeframe in mind, but he estimates that 2 years should do the trick.
He was quoted as saying, “We don’t have a fixed timeline, but probably two years, if not sooner. It’s ambitious but we want to get into these markets as soon as possible.” He added that the reason they’re taking their time is because they want to make sure they get things right off the bat.
“We don’t want to make a random decision. Oh say, here’s the Mi 6, let’s try the US market, if it doesn’t work let’s just leave. No, we want to be well-prepared and make a boom in those markets.” Earlier Wang was similarly interviewed by Engadget where he also suggested that the reason Xiaomi has yet to break into the US is due to their resources being stretched too thin.
