Even The Cubs Are Emotional About Boy's Tearful Reaction To Tickets From His Dad

This Cubs mega-fan is about to get the experience of a lifetime.

The above video shows 9-year-old Kolt Kyler unable to contain his excitement nor his tears as his dad surprises him with tickets to a Chicago Cubs game.

While Kolt’s mom recorded the conversation, his dad complimented him for working hard to help out on the farm while still excelling at school.

His dad pretends to give him more work, before saying, “This is something you and I are going to do, and it’s going to take a whole day to do it.” He then hands Kolt an envelope.

Since the family from Pierceton, Illinois, posted the exchange to Twitter Sunday, the video has racked up more than 2,000 retweets and 7,500 likes.

And it wasn’t long before Cubs players themselves started became swept up in the sweet moment.

In fact, it seemed as though the Cubs players were just as excited to meet Kolt as he was to see them play.

Kolt’s father Andy spoke with ESPN radio on Thursday after the video went viral.

“I’ve always talked to him about how hard work will always pay off. It will never let you down,” Andy said.

For the past eight months, Kolt has been helping his dad every day on the farm. Last Saturday, Kolt had to wake up early to complete his chores, which included feeding the pigs and watering the cows, all before playing a double-header baseball game. He helped his dad with more tasks after his game, and then was surprised with tickets.

“He earned it,” Andy added. “It’s going to be a special day.”

Caitlyn Jenner Voted For Donald Trump, But Her Loyalties Don't Lie With Him

Caitlyn Jenner voted for President Donald Trump, but the former Olympian and reality TV star says she’s dedicated to her community and not to the current POTUS.

“Here’s the deal: yes, I have always had views that lean more towards the Republican party when it comes to politics (as in) less government, believing in the Constitution and all that kind of stuff,” Jenner told People magazine“But my loyalties and my fights are not going to be with the Republican party. My loyalties are with my community and fighting for my community.”

“My loyalties lie with my community and not with the Republican party, and not with Donald Trump,” the self-described conservative added.

Jenner’s sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer for ABC’s “20/20” ― two years after coming out publicly as transgender ― is set to air Friday night. During the discussion, she talks about voting for Trump in the 2016 election, but that her sentiment has changed.

“Yes, I did vote for Trump but here’s the deal-breaker with the Republican party,” she said. “And the deal-breaker is: you mess with my community, you do the wrong thing with our community, you don’t give us equality and a fair shot, I’m coming after you.”

While she previously praised Trump for his stance on women and LGBT issues, Jenner spoke out against him in February following his administration’s move to reverse federal protections for transgender students.

“When I was at the inauguration I did say hi at a cocktail party, and he wanted me to play golf with him,” she said. “At the time I thought it was a pretty good idea but since Title IX it’s not a good idea and so I won’t be playing golf with him.”

Jenner’s book, The Secrets Of My Life, is on sale April 25.

Ivanka Trump Will Skip Her Book Tour Due To Ethical Concerns

function onPlayerReadyVidible(e){‘undefined’!=typeof HPTrack&&HPTrack.Vid.Vidible_track(e)}!function(e,i){if(e.vdb_Player){if(‘object’==typeof commercial_video){var a=”,o=’m.fwsitesection=’+commercial_video.site_and_category;if(a+=o,commercial_video[‘package’]){var c=’&m.fwkeyvalues=sponsorship%3D’+commercial_video[‘package’];a+=c}e.setAttribute(‘vdb_params’,a)}i(e.vdb_Player)}else{var t=arguments.callee;setTimeout(function(){t(e,i)},0)}}(document.getElementById(‘vidible_1’),onPlayerReadyVidible);

Ivanka Trump’s Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success is out May 2, but the author won’t be touring to promote her latest title.

Plus, citing ethical concerns, she’ll be donating the proceeds from the book to the National Urban League and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Due to her role as an unpaid advisor to her father, the president of the United States, financial gain from her personal business would conflict with her governmental duties. President Obama, for example, only collected royalties from his first two books while in office; the third book, Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters, was written during his time in the White House, so the proceeds were donated to charity.

There’s further precedent for president-adjacent authors forgoing profit from their books; both Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton did just thatIf anything, Ivanka Trump’s choice to donate these earnings solidifies the official professional relationship between her and her father, Bloomberg reports.

While she’s skipping out on an official promotional book tour, Trump will, however, visit Berlin on her first official international trip, where she’ll be on a panel closely related to the topic of her forthcoming title: women and empowerment in the workplace.

Still, the move to donate rather than directly profit from the platform afforded by governmental appointment is more ethically sound than previous decisions made by the Trump administration.

Last summer, HuffPost’s Christina Wilkie reported that President Donald Trump said the proceeds of his book, Crippled America, would go to charity, but the then-candidate later disclosed that he earned between $1 and $5 million from the project. And, last October, HuffPost reported that Trump was using small donors’ money to purchase copies of his own book The Art of the Deal, resulting in personal royalties from the sales.

Ultimately, if Ivanka Trump’s donations do make it to the charities she’s named, the move is in keeping with the established principles for books published by first family members.

Anthony Atamanuik Does The Best Trump Impression — There, We Said It

As writer and comedian Anthony Atamanuik points out, a Donald Trump impression is sort of a standard impression, accessible to just about anyone who wants to give it a try.

But for our money, Atamanuik is the best Trump impersonator ― and now he has a new Comedy Central show, “The President Show,” to prove it.

Watch him walk Stephen Colbert through the process of impersonating Trump on “The Late Show.” You’ll never see our president the same way again.

These Women Covered Their Bodies In Glitter To Make A Colorful Statement

What’s better than a group of women coming together to celebrate their bodies? A group of women coming together to celebrate their bodies by dousing themselves in glitter and having a super fun photoshoot.

Fifteen body-positive, Australia-based women held their third annual “Glitter Extravaganza” in rural Queensland earlier this month. The group, comprised of women ages 19 to 36, met on Instagram over a shared interest in lingerie.

Bonnie V., one of the participants who writes lingerie reviews, told The Huffington Post that the group’s goal is to shatter the pressure put on women to look a certain way. “We’ve had enough,” she said. “Our focus is encouraging women everywhere to embrace the bodies they have, regardless of what they have been told is acceptable by mass media.”

It might seem odd for a group of people who bonded over a love of lingerie to make a statement by stripping their clothes off altogether, but then, the lingerie isn’t really the point.

“We are showcasing that none of us look like stereotypical models, we are all different shapes and sizes,” Bonnie V. said. “Yet we can (and will) model our lingerie collections and celebrate the bodies we have.”

Plus, glitter just makes everything better, doesn’t it? Check out more photos from the shoot below.

Balenciaga Now Sells A $2,145 Version Of Ikea’s $0.99 Blue Bag

function onPlayerReadyVidible(e){‘undefined’!=typeof HPTrack&&HPTrack.Vid.Vidible_track(e)}!function(e,i){if(e.vdb_Player){if(‘object’==typeof commercial_video){var a=”,o=’m.fwsitesection=’+commercial_video.site_and_category;if(a+=o,commercial_video[‘package’]){var c=’&m.fwkeyvalues=sponsorship%3D’+commercial_video[‘package’];a+=c}e.setAttribute(‘vdb_params’,a)}i(e.vdb_Player)}else{var t=arguments.callee;setTimeout(function(){t(e,i)},0)}}(document.getElementById(‘vidible_1’),onPlayerReadyVidible);

Get ready to purse your lips, y’all.

Balenciaga has come out with a designer bag that will look strikingly familiar to anyone who has ever been to Ikea.

That’s because the couture brand’s new $2,145 Arena Extra-Large Shopper Tote Bag looks almost exactly like Ikea’s $0.99 blue plastic bags.

Both are electric blue, have a similar construction and are big enough to comfortably carry a four-pack of wine glasses that will break in a month, 50 packages of Swedish Fish and two weeks worth of sweat-drenched gym clothes.

The biggest difference between the two bags is that Ikea’s crinkly “Frakta” bag is made of recyclable plastic while Balenciaga’s consists of “glazed leather.” Oh, and that one costs $2,144 more than the other.

“We are deeply flattered that the Balenciaga tote bag resembles the Ikea iconic sustainable blue bag for 99 cents. Nothing beats the versatility of a great big blue bag!” a spokesperson for Ikea told Today.

The Huffington Post reached out to Balenciaga for comment but did not hear back by the time of publication. We will update this story accordingly.
