Waking up your PC from sleep is as easy as tapping the touchscreen, moving the mouse or pressing a button on the keyboard — but if you have a Microsoft Surface Studio, it just got even easier. Thanks to a new audio driver update, Studio owners can n…
If you’ve ever visited Japan, you’ll notice lots of laundry hanging outside of apartment buildings. It’s not that anyone is trying to show off their clothes, more that having a washer and dryer in your home doesn’t happen normally. For those that live there, this is a bit of a pain when it’s humid outside or raining, as you are only adding to the moisture in the air by hanging your clothes up to dry inside.
Keeping all of that in mind, having a dehumidifier around would be quite handy, especially like this Sharp Plasmacluster Dehumidifier. This uses positive and negative ion technology to not only get rid of moisture in your home more quickly, but will also cut down on the associated odors. You’ll be able to adjust the direction of the machine’s efforts by 180 degrees, and the filter is not only easy to clean, but exceedingly effective.
That all sounds good and well, but without knowing how effective it is, no one is going to jump at spending $530 on a whim. This can suck up 12 liters of moisture a day, and has timers for 2, 4, and 6 hours. It’s recommended for 204 square foot rooms, but can be used in rooms that are up to around 538 square feet. You will have to deal with some sound, but it will be slightly louder than a whisper, which shouldn’t cause too much stir.

Contrary to what conventional beauty standards may lead us to believe, naked mole rats are good. They’re highly social animals who live communally. They’re ruled by a loyal queen. They’re also seemingly impervious to cancer and don’t age. But still, these little subterraneans get a bad rap for not looking like puppies…
Now here’s a thing. Have you ever really looked at lava falling into the ocean? I mean, really looked at it?
The Federal Communications Commission voted today to eliminate price caps on broadband services for businesses, schools, libraries, and hospitals, known as Business Data Services (BDS). The argument advanced by FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai, and the big telecoms who wanted this rule repealed, was that there is already…
Two-Faced Dalek Wedding Cake
Posted in: Today's ChiliThis Dalek cake is like a Doctor Who mullet, business in front, party in back. Or is it the opposite here? The cake features a Dalek on the front half, and on back it is a traditional wedding cake. It was baked and decorated by the folks at Wellingborough, United Kingdom based Amelia Rose Cake Studio.
It probably represents the bride and the groom, because the wife can be a real Dalek. Know what I mean? Nah. I kid. It represents the two stages of marriage: Happiness, then extermination. Nah. I kid. I kid. I love marriage.
Seriously, this is an awesome Doctor Who wedding cake that incorporates the best of both worlds, both geeky and traditional.

The promise of personal flying cars has always worked better in science fiction than real life, but Lilium is aiming to change that with its electric Jet. The vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) craft was originally intended as the flying alternative to a two-seater sports car, able to launch straight up without the need of a runway, but then transition … Continue reading
