If you’ve ever visited Japan, you’ll notice lots of laundry hanging outside of apartment buildings. It’s not that anyone is trying to show off their clothes, more that having a washer and dryer in your home doesn’t happen normally. For those that live there, this is a bit of a pain when it’s humid outside or raining, as you are only adding to the moisture in the air by hanging your clothes up to dry inside.
