Steve Ballmer is About to Drop a Massive Data Dump on How Tax Dollars are Spent

It’s always a good time to check in on former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. It seems that since he retired he’s been bored. So, he decided to pour millions of dollars into figuring out how the U.S. government spends his millions (billions?) of dollars in taxes. And he’s releasing all of that data on tax day so the…

Trevor Noah Loves The Giant Eggs That Donald Trump Laid At His Easter Party

Could President Donald Trump have given a more tone-deaf Easter speech to the kids and parents gathered on the White House lawn for the annual egg roll? Trevor Noah doesn’t think so.

The “Daily Show” host was aghast after playing a clip of Trump gushing on Monday about being “stronger and bigger and better as a nation than ever before … we’re right on track.”

Noah adds: “You can see that’s a guy who has no idea what Easter is actually about.”

So he takes another stab at the speech, Trump style. “Easter is such a holy day. People, I’m here with Rabbit Jesus. It’s so holy, folks, you wouldn’t believe it. So holy, so big,” Noah smirks in his best presidential impersonation.

One last egg for the day: The fact that Melania had to nudge her husband — on camera for the entire world to see — to remind him to put his hand over his heart when the national anthem was played.

You can imagine what she might have said to him, Noah remarks, in his best Slovenian accent: “C’mon, Donald, it’s easy: Just put your hand where the human heart is supposed to be.”

Fortunately, Noah pointed out, the day was saved … by a kind of “resurrection” — in eye-melting pink — of Kellyanne Conway.

The Amazing Star Wars Homages Hidden in Rogue One's Soundtrack

Composer Michael Giacchino joined Rogue One very late in the game—to the point he allegedly had just four weeks to create his soundtrack for the film. The fact he even managed it was impressive, but as this video shows, Giacchino pulled off a soundtrack filled with intriguing cues and homages to the Star Wars work of…

Eric Trump Actually Complained About Mean People On Twitter

Eric Trump must not be too familiar with has father’s Twitter feed.

In an interview with Ireland’s Independent newspaper, the son of President Donald Trump blasted people who are mean on Twitter:

“No matter what side it is with, you are always going to get backlash. You are going to have a few people who have nothing better to do than to sit behind a computer and send a mean tweet. It’s unfortunate, but it’s the nature of the game.”

Trump was responding to a question about golfer Rory McIlroy, who came under fire on social media after playing a round of golf with the president.

Trump’s father, of course, is known for using Twitter as a platform to hurl insults. The New York Times has a list of 325 people, places and things Trump has insulted on Twitter since he declared his candidacy.

Eric Trump also complained that politics is “mean.”

“Politics is a mean game,” Trump told the Independent. “I always said real estate is the most cut-throat industry in the world ― but it is nothing compared to some of these politicians.”

His father on the campaign trail incited violence against protesters, criticized the family of a fallen soldier, and suggested that the father of then-rival Ted Cruz had a role in the assassination of JFK

Eric Trump isn’t the only member of the first family to express a thin awareness of Donald Trump’s persona on social media.

Before the election, Melania Trump said that if she were first lady, she would fight against cyberbullying as her cause, despite tweets from her husband such as these:

White Nationalist Accused Of Assault At Rally Says He Was Following Trump's 'Directives'

A white nationalist accused of assaulting a protester at a Donald Trump campaign rally is insisting in a federal court action that he was following a “directive” from Trump, who ordered his audience at the time to “get ‘em out of here.”

Matthew Heimbach and another Trump supporter have been sued by plaintiffs Kashiya Nwanguma, Molly Shah and Henry Brousseau, who say they were assaulted during a Trump campaign rally in Louisville in March 2016 — some of which was captured on a video that went viral. Trump and the Trump campaign are also named in the suit, accused of incitement to riot and recklessness. Trump is heard on tape ordering the audience to “get ‘em out of here.”

Louisville U.S. District Judge David Hale ruled last month that the suit could proceed after he determined that the protesters’ injuries may have been a “direct and proximate result” of Trump’s statements, that “at least implicitly encouraged the use of violence or lawless action.”

Heimbach said in his countersuit filed Monday in Louisville that he “acted pursuant to the directives and requests” of Trump and the Trump campaign. If he’s found liable for damages “liability must be shifted to one or both of them,” the filing states.

Heimbach, a leader of the white supremacist Traditionalist Worker Party, claims he believed Trump had the legal authority to order people removed.

Another man sued in the case, veteran Alvin Bamberger of Ohio, has also turned on Trump. He said that whatever he did was at Trump’s urging. “Bamberger would not have acted as he did without Trump and/or the Trump Campaign’s specific urging and inspiration,” states his countersuit, which was filed in Louisville federal court on Friday.

Trump “repeatedly urged people attending” his rallies to “remove individuals who were voicing opposition to Trump’s candidacy,” the suit adds. He also often “promised to pay the legal fees of those who — following Trump’s urgings — removed the protesters,” according to the lawsuit.

Both men have also claimed they’re innocent of any assault.

Trump’s attorneys have denied the allegations and asked the court to dismiss the case, arguing that their client is “immune” from lawsuits “because he is president.”

Netflix Expects To Hit 100 Million Subscribers By The Weekend

Netflix has been around for a long time now and its services have definitely evolved over the years where they are now making their own TV series and movies. This has unsurprisingly led to an increase in the number of subscribers over the years, but Netflix expects that they will be able to hit a pretty major milestone by the weekend.

In a letter written to its shareholders, the company has expressed their belief that by this weekend, they should be able to hit the 100 million subscriber mark. According to the letter, it reads, “We expect to cross the 100 million member mark this weekend. It’s a good start.” The company’s CEO Reed Hastings also made sure to point out that Netflix’s subscribers do pale in comparison to the likes of YouTube and Facebook who have a billion or so users.

According to Hastings, “Our viewing is very large and growing, but nowhere near as big as YouTube. We definitely have YouTube envy.” That being said, this growth can probably be attributed to how  Netflix decided to make its services available worldwide when they began their expansion plans in January 2016, bringing the service to 130 new countries.

Their growth can also be attributed to hit TV series like the Marvel shows, Orange is the new Black, House of Cards, Stranger Things, and more.

Steve Wozniak Thinks Apple Will Still Be Around In 2075

In the next 58 years or so, quite a few of us might be dead, some of us might be really old,  and some of us could be hitting the retirement age. However if there is one thing that could still be standing in 2075, it could be Apple. This is according to Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak who believes that Apple will still be around by that time.

According to Wozniak, he was quoted as saying, “Apple will be around a long time, like IBM (which was founded in 1911). Look at Apple’s cash ($246.1 billion, as of the end of its last fiscal quarter). It can invest in anything. It would be ridiculous to not expect them to be around (in 2075). The same goes for Google and Facebook.”

Of course whether or not Apple will be the same company that it is today remains to be seen. After all we’ve seen many brands rise and fall and reinvent themselves over the years, like how Nokia started out as a being a paper mill, or how Nintendo began as a card company which evolved itself into a gaming company that is beloved by millions of gamers around the world, old and young.

However let’s not forget that there have also been many companies that were huge at one point in time, only to eventually fade away into obscurity. It’s already hard to predict how Apple will fare in the next 10 years, let alone the next 58 years, but what do you guys think? Are companies like Apple, Google, and Facebook still be around come 2075?
