Watch Harry Styles' Powerful Breakout Performance On 'SNL'

Harry Styles the solo artist has arrived.

The former One Direction member hit Studio 8H this weekend to debut his first musical performance on “Saturday Night Live” hosted by Jimmy Fallon.

In a plaid suit and a stage showered in red light, Styles sang his breakout single, “Sign of the Times” and his fans fell in love all over again.

The singer split from One Direction more than a year ago and hadn’t released any new music until he debuted “Sign of the Times” and announced dates for his upcoming album earlier this month. He sang another song from his self-titled album during “SNL”: “Ever Since New York.”

Styles’ performance on Saturday was packed with emotion and proved that he is a force to be reckoned with, sans the rest of his former boy band.

Apple Could Replace 4th Gen iPads With iPad Air 2 During Service

If you own the 4th generation iPad and you send it in for service or repair, you might actually find yourself with an upgraded tablet. This is because in a report from 9to5Mac, Apple will actually be replacing some 4th generation iPad unit with the iPad Air 2. Apparently this is due to low stock of the 4th gen iPad which has been discontinued.

In an internal memo that they obtained, it reads, “Starting March 30th, iPad 4th generation whole unit repairs may be substituted to iPad Air 2.” Given that the memo says from the 30th of March, it means that this should have already come into effect and there should be customers who are the receiving end of this new exchange.

This is an upgrade not only terms of hardware specs, but also storage because the second-gen iPad Air comes in 32GB and 128GB options, so for customers who bought the 4th gen iPad with 16GB or 64GB storage, you guys would technically be getting an upgrade with that regard.

This upgrade applies to Apple’s official stores or authorized service centers. If any of our readers have been upgraded to the iPad Air 2 for free after sending in their 4th gen iPad, do let us know in the comments below!

Android 7.1.1 Rolling Out To The Nokia 6

If there is one complaint that most Android users would have is the slowness when it comes to updates. The latest build of Android could have been released for months before it ever arrives on non-Nexus/Pixel handsets, which can be annoying as users won’t get to enjoy all the latest features until much later.

However it seems that Nokia/HMD Global are being pretty good with their updates because according to reports, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is currently being rolled out to the Nokia 6. Given that the handset was officially launched in January earlier this year, we have to say that they are being pretty timely with their updates which is a good thing.

According to the screenshots, the update weighs in at 370MB and will require that users have at least 616MB free. This update doesn’t really bring about that many major new features, but it will come with Google’s monthly security patch for the month of April, so at the very least you’ll want to upgrade for that reason alone.

As it stands the Nokia 6 is only available in China and other parts of Asia, but it has been speculated that it could eventually find its way to international markets in the future.

Alleged Images Of Moto E4, E4 Plus Leaked Online

Given how we’ve been pretty much treated to a new Moto E series for the past few years, we guess it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that Motorola might have new Moto E handsets for the year of 2017. Now thanks to a tweet by Evan Blass, alleged images of the Moto E4 and E4 Plus have surfaced online.

As you can see in the photo above, both phones appear to be pretty much identical on the surface. However there is one main difference and that is the E4 Plus will come with a home button which presumably houses a fingerprint sensor as well. The placement of the front-facing camera is also slightly different, but just from these images both phones seem almost the same.

As for specs, we are hearing that the Moto E4 will feature a 5-inch display with a low resolution of 480×854. We’re also looking at MediaTek 6737m chipset, 16GB of onboard storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing shooter. We’re not sure what the differences are between the Plus model save for the fingerprint sensor, but the low-end specs aren’t that surprising as the Moto E-series has been designed to be a budget handset.

We have heard rumors of a certain Moto E4 Power and we’re not sure if maybe the E4 Plus is another name for the same device, or if we could potentially be looking at three Moto E variants this year, but either way take it with a grain of salt for now.

Analysts Think Nintendo Switch Mini Could Launch In 2019

As far as the major consoles are concerned, the Nintendo Switch is probably the smallest amongst all of them. In fact its size is one of the marketing points where Nintendo touts how you could bring it around with you and game while on the go. However could the Switch get even smaller?

According to analysts from Citigroup, they believe that the next step for Nintendo to take is to shrink the Switch down even further, where come 2019 we could even expect a smaller Switch called the Nintendo Switch Mini, at least that’s according to according to analysts including Minami Munakata, Kota Ezawa, and Alicia Yap.

The analysts write, “Although the Nintendo Switch can be used as a handheld device, we think smaller children could struggle to use it comfortably in that format due to its size and weight. Accordingly, we think Nintendo will launch a lighter, dedicated handheld version of the Switch, possibly to be called the Switch Mini.”

So far the Nintendo DS lineup is the only console from Nintendo to have undergone various iterations and revisions over the years. The Wii and Wii U for the most part kept the original design and hardware until the next version, so it would be surprising if Nintendo were to revise the Switch, but in any case do take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think of the idea of a Switch Mini?

NES Classic Editions On eBay Spotted With Crazy Hiked Up Prices

As you might have heard the sad news by now, Nintendo has decided for some inexplicable reason to discontinue the NES Classic Edition. This means that very soon, you won’t be able to get your hands on the console from the shops, and will have to rely on websites like eBay or Craigslist.

However if that is the case, expect to potentially pay some exorbitant prices for them. As spotted by Kotaku Australia, it seems that the NES Classic Edition has been listed quite a few times on eBay where resellers are hiking up the prices by 40% or even higher due to the fact that they know these consoles will soon no longer be available.

The console if purchased at a store would only set you back around $60, but as you can see in the screenshot above, there are some users who have priced it as much as $400, which is more than 600% the original price! Now there is no guarantee that once the console has been officially discontinued that the prices will remain just as high. It could go higher or it might drop, but either way we reckon it’s not really worth it to pay so much, don’t you think?

That being said, there have been some indications that the discontinuation could be temporary as spotted on Nintendo Japan’s website for the Famicom Classic Edition, where Nintendo wrote that production had ended “for now”, and they would inform customers when production resumes.

Nintendo Switch Worldwide Sales Hit 2.4 Million Units

The other day it was reported that over in the US, Nintendo had managed to sell over 900,000 units. The company claims that this made the Switch the fastest-selling console in the company’s history, which is saying something given that Nintendo has been around for a while and has put out quite a few memorable pieces of hardware.

However like we said those figures are just for the US alone, meaning that combining the sales from other markets should result in a more impressive figure, and we were right. According to the latest numbers from SuperData, it turns out that the Switch’s worldwide sales has managed to hit 2.4 million units, and this is within the console’s first month of availability.

That being said we can’t be sure if these are units sold directly to retailers, or if these are the number of units sold to consumers directly, which is an important distinction since both figures can be very different, but regardless it does indicate that there is a strong demand for the console at the end of the day.

Based on this, SuperData predicts that the Switch could very well sell as many as 7.2 million units by the end of 2017, which is half of that of the PS4 in its first year, and it is also about 3 million behind the Xbox One. Given that there are still plenty of amazing games that have yet to be launched or announced, 7.2 million doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch.

Melissa McCarthy Is Easter Spicey, The Apologizing Easter Bunny

Sean Spicer had a terrible week, but Melissa McCarthy is here to make it all better.

The actress reprised her role as the White House Press Secretary on “Saturday Night Live,” only this time, she played Easter Spicey, the apologizing Easter Bunny.

During a mock-up of the White House’s Easter Egg Roll, McCarthy as Spicer apologized for claiming that Adolf Hitler had never used chemical weapons and for calling concentration camps “Holocaust centers.”

“Everybody shut up so I can apologize,” McCarthy yelled to the press in a white furry suit. “Yes, you all got your wish this week, didn’t you? … I clearly meant to say ‘concentration clubs,’ OK?”

McCarthy also bashed United during the press conference by referencing their recent handling of a bloodied passenger who was dragged off a plane.

“I would also like you to know that I am sensitive to the fact that they were sent there on trains,” she said. “Hey, at least they didn’t have to fly United, am I right?”

McCarthy’s bunny suit was a nod to Spicer’s old gig as the Easter Bunny for President George W. Bush’s Easter Egg Roll, but that wasn’t the only prop she used. The actress pulled out “Veggie Tales” hand puppets to explain Passover and, per usual, most of it was based on alternative facts.

McCarthy closed the skit with a very ominous warning. Then, she destroyed the set.

“Spicey’s got to hippity hop and deliver these eggs,” she said. “And everybody, just eat as much candy as you want because this is probably our last Easter on earth.”
