HTC’s “Brilliant U” ad makes you want to squeeze everything

If the tagline for the next HTC flagship isn’t “for the squeezable U”, it would be terribly disappointing. The company has just released its second teaser video for what is believed to be the HTC U “Ocean” or HTC U 11 and, unsurprisingly, it is playing on what is also expected to be its headlining feature. This HTC smartphone has … Continue reading

Trevor Noah: Donald Trump Is Making Bank Being The President

“The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah doesn’t understand why people are upset that former President Barack Obama will receive $400,000 to speak at a conference organized by a Wall Street firm.

“I know people may say that it weakens public trust when politicians cash in immediately after leaving office, but at least Obama waited until he left office, unlike this guy,” Noah said, pointing at a photo of President Donald Trump, “who’s using the office like an ATM machine.”

During the campaign, Trump said he would not only increase taxes on the rich, he wouldn’t “mind” paying higher taxes himself. Although he has yet to release his tax returns, one of the few things the public knows about Trump is that he paid $38 million in 2005, most of which was required by the alternative minimum tax.

Trump now wants to eliminate it.

“At this point, he’s not even trying to hide how being the president is making him bank,” said Noah. “Honestly, I’m surprised the [Trump tax] plan didn’t include a deduction for unflattering golf pants.”

Sean Hannity And Lou Dobbs Agree: Donald Trump 'Pretty Close To Perfect'

Sean Hannity and Lou Dobbs took turns singing the praises of President Donald Trump on Thursday night. Not surprisingly, the two Fox News personalities believe the president is doing a fantastic job.

“He has done more than any president in recent history, certainly in the last half century, in the first 98 days of his presidency,” Dobbs said on Hannity’s show.

“All the accomplishments of the president, keeping his promise, checking off his list,” Hannity said. “He’s not perfect, nobody’s perfect, but he’s done a really good job.”

“Well, he’s pretty close to perfect, Sean,” Dobbs said. “I’m serious.”

“Pretty close,” Hannity said. “Everything he’s had to do on his own, he’s doing.”

“This guy, he’s worked his tail off. Still is,” Dobbs said. “Meanwhile, taking care of national defense, national security and all the challenges that aren’t on the Trump agenda. I mean, it’s truly remarkable what he is doing and the credit that he is not receiving for what he’s done.”

Stephen Colbert Picks Apart GOP Plans For ‘Zombie Trumpcare'

The GOP wants to bring its repeal of the Affordable Care Act back from the dead, but “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert is not having any of it.

On Thursday, he took aim at President Donald Trump and Republicans for trying to rekindle their bill, which has been dubbed “Zombie Trumpcare.”

“Unlike Obamacare, under the new plan, individual states would be allowed to not cover pre-existing conditions,” said Colbert. “That’s why New Hampshire is changing their license plate from ‘Live Free or Die’ to ‘Live Here and Die.’”

Colbert also said he couldn’t wait for Trump’s first 100 days to be over.

“It’s just so exhausting watching this man try to accomplish something.”

Galaxy S8 gets red tint fix, Samsung insists it’s not a bug

It’s no explosive Galaxy Note 7, but one particular complaint with the Galaxy S8 is having users buzzing a bit. Not because it’s a terribly deal-breaking “misfeature” but because of how Samsung is handling the problem. Or rather, how it is denying there is a problem in the first place. Nonetheless, yielding to outcry, Samsung has apparently started to roll … Continue reading

Seth Meyers Roasts Donald Trump Over 'Soft Wood' Trade War With Canada

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers had a field day mocking President Donald Trump on Thursday for starting a trade dispute with Canada over a specific type of wood.

Earlier this week, the Trump administration announced that it would impose a tariff of about 20 percent on softwood lumber imported from Canada, a decision that has increased trade tensions between the two nations.

“I’m not going to take that as an opportunity to make a bunch of penis jokes,” Meyers said. “I’m just saying that Donald Trump doesn’t want to be slapped with soft Canadian wood, so he’s clamping down on it.”
