The die is cast. After months of working covertly to bring his plans as an Agent of Hydra to fruition, Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, has made his first big step toward the incoming Secret Empire event. And even though we’ve been waiting for this to happen, it’s a pretty surprising move nonetheless.
This Ancient Stellar Blob Could Change Our Understanding of How Galaxies Form
Posted in: Today's ChiliOnly a billion or so years after the universe formed, a galaxy far more massive than our own and a fraction of the size blazed into existence. Just half a billion years later—less than the amount of time it took life to emerge and evolve into humans on Earth—the galaxy was a dead disc, no longer forming stars.
Scientists Are Getting Closer to Understanding Where All the Antimatter Has Gone
Posted in: Today's ChiliYou and me, we’re matter. Everyone you know is matter. Everything on Earth, spare a few particles, is matter. Most of the things in space are matter. But we don’t have convincing reasons why there should be so much more matter than antimatter. So where’s all the antimatter?
Facebook today announced that it’s going to use new tools to help people who are victims of revenge porn. Unfortunately, it’s quite common for someone’s intimate images to be floated online particularly by someone they were with at some point in time. States have already started criminalizing revenge porn to put an end to this menace and Facebook is now stepping up to do its part.
The world’s largest social network says that when revenge porn is reported to it, it can now prevent the images from being shared on Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram.
If a user sees an intimate image on Facebook and it appears that the image has been shared without permission, it can now be reported through the “Report” link that appears when you tap on the downward arrow or “…” next to a post.
Specially trained representatives from Facebook’s Community Operations team will review the image and remove it if it violate’s the social network’s Community Standards. In most cases, the account used for sharing intimate images without permission will also be disabled.
An appeals process will be offered if someone believes an image was taken down in error. To thwart further attempts to share the image on Facebook, it’s going to use photo-matching technologies.
If someone tries to share that image again after it has been reported and removed, the user will be alerted that the image violates policies and that their attempt to share it has been blocked.

How many cameras do you think are enough on a smartphone? Most of them have two for good reason, one in the front and one in the back. However, some manufacturers have started adopting dual-camera systems for the back to provide even better imaging features. If you’re Alcatel, you think that a smartphone needs four cameras, which is precisely the number of camera’s you’ll find on its new Flash smartphone.
The Alcatel Flash has a dual-camera system on the back as well as on the front. The handset has a total of four cameras, which is not something that you see on most smartphones on the market these days.
The handset has two 13 megapixel cameras on the back with one being color and the other monochromatic. One of the front facing cameras is 8 megapixels while the other is 5 megapixels. That should allow for some killer selfies, don’t you think?
The handset also features a 5.5 inch full HD display with a Helio X20 processor under the hood. It’s powered by Android Marshmallow but I’m sure many would have liked to have Nougat pre-installed instead.
Alcatel hasn’t confirmed how much this handset is going to cost and when it’s going to be available. The company is yet to confirm the markets in which the Flash will be sold.
