GoPro's $100 accessory puts Karma's gimbal (almost) anywhere

When GoPro launched Karma at the end of the last year, company CEO Nick Woodman was keen to point out that it’s “So much more than a drone.” That statement was mostly referring to the bundled handheld grip, which uses the stabilizer from the quadcopt…

Taser is now Axon. The brand has been a household word for years, but the company felt it was time to leave that identity behind and double down on the body camera and digital evidence management side of its business. As part of that move, it’s offering free body cameras and software to any police department that asks. Yes, free as in beer, and yes, any as in any. Read More

The Walking Dead’s Glenn and Negan Reunite in Statue Form

Fans of The Walking Dead will want this cool miniature that features Glenn and Negan together in the moments just before Lucille popped Glenn’s eye out. The statues look just like the actors from the series, and commemorate one of the last moments we saw a whole Glenn on the show.

The statue set will sell for $29.99(USD) and can be pre-ordered now from Entertainment Earth for delivery in September when it launches. I wonder if they will ever make a statue of Glenn after he took one for the team.

YouTube Go Beta Launched

It was in September last year when YouTube Go was announced. At that time, the service called on users to register so that they could be notified when the service went live. YouTube Go has now been launched, albeit in beta. The service has been launched after the YouTube Go app was leaked online and the unofficial APK started making the rounds. Those who have been waiting for this service to arrive will now be delighted that they can finally start using it.

The first country to officially receive support for YouTube Go Beta is India. The app has been designed from the group up to cater to users who have little data bandwidth and are still limited to 2G and 3G speeds.

YouTube Go will enable users to share videos with nearby friends over Bluetooth so that they don’t use any data for this purpose. It also provides video recommendations on the home screen based on what’s trending and popular around the user.

Moreover, video previews load first so that the user has an idea of what they’re going to see. This will enable them to decide whether or not they want to use precious mobile data to view that video. They can also choose the resolution and know the file size before they download a video for offline viewing.

Users in India can now download YouTube Go Beta if they want to consume all of the content that it offers while being conscious of their mobile data usage. It hasn’t been confirmed as yet if and when YouTube Go will be rolled out in other markets as well.
