Aliens Colonial Marines Armored Personnel Carrier Toy: Game Over, Man!

I remember the first time I watched Aliens back in the day, it scared the crap out of me. I also remember the cool armored personnel carrier that the colonial marines wheeled around in. That thing had seats in the back and a big laser turret on top to blast xenomorphs.

Entertainment Earth is showing off a new 1:18-scale version from Hiya Toys, and it looks awesome. The turrets on top and the front, control stick, control panel seat, and passenger restraint bars all move. The collectible is made from PVC and ABS plastics, and it’s also got LED lighting, which makes all the monitors glow.

The incredibly-detailed vehicle comes with one appropriately-scaled marine figure, and can hold up to 12 of them total if you buy more to round out your squad. Each action figure is about 4-inches tall so this thing is gonna be big – probably somewhere around 20″ long or so.

It will land in August and will set you back $249.99(USD).

While Nintendo hasn’t confirmed as yet if Takeda is simply stepping down from his position as director or if he’s going to retire completely. For all we know he may continue to play a small role at the company in the years to come. Those who look up to Takeda will certainly want to have come clarity on the matter.

Amazon Echo With Display Might Arrive Next Month

Amazon launched its first Echo device over a year ago and since then they have proven to be quite popular. The company has expanded the Echo lineup by adding multiple devices that further its hardware agenda. Just yesterday, Amazon announced a new product in this lineup called the Echo Look. According to a new report, Amazon might launch another Echo product next month and that it may even have a built-in display.

The Echo Look is meant to be your personal stylist. It combines machine learning with advise from fashion specialists to give you tips on what look you should wear for the day. It can save your look book and even provide recommendations on clothes to buy.

Since it’s an Echo product, the Echo Look has Alexa built-in, and Alexa on this device can do everything that it can on any other Echo device, so it can stream music, read news, call an Uber, and more.

CNET reports that Amazon is going to launch a new Echo product next month that’s going to feature a built-in screen. However, the possibility exists that Amazon might change the timing on this launch.

Having an integrated display will make the new Echo device more useful particularly in areas like online shopping and video chats. No technical specifications have been shared as yet and Amazon hasn’t confirmed anything about such an Echo device.

So we just have to wait for a few weeks until we find out for sure if this Echo device really is in the pipeline.

Google Becomes First Foreign Internet Company To Go Live In Cuba

It was no doubt a landmark moment when former President Obama decided to reset U.S. relations with Cuba after decades of nonexistent ties. It was a big step and plenty of American companies tagged along with the president to show the Cubans that opportunity was knocking at their door. Google was one of the companies that made the trip and it has now become the first foreign internet company to store content in Cuba.

Google’s role in Cuba is also going to involve setting up Wi-Fi and broadband access on the island, even Obama said so himself, and back in December the company inked a deal with Cuba’s national telecom ETECSA.

Google has become the first foreign internet company to go live in Cuba. It already made the Chrome browser available to users in the country back in 2014. The servers that it has flipped the switch on now are part of the company’s Google Global Cache.

The Google Global Cache is a network spread across the globe which stores content that’s popular with local users. This means that Cubans will now be able to experience faster speeds when trying to access content that’s popular in their region, like viral videos, faster than before.

All of the content stored inside the country will be accessible at higher speeds as the internet will be piped in through a submarine cable that’s connected to Venezuela.
