Diablo 3 ‘Rise Of The Necromancer’ DLC Set For 27th June Release

Ever since Blizzard announced their plans to bring Diablo 2’s Necromancer character to Diablo 3 last year, many gamers have been wondering when exactly that will be taking place. Unfortunately for the longest time ever, Blizzard has kept mum on the release date, although they have been actively updating gamers about their progress.

Now for those who are looking forward to getting their hands on the “Rise of the Necromancer” DLC pack, you’ll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has officially announced that the DLC will be released on the 27th of June where it will be available simultaneously across the PC, the PS4, and the Xbox One.

For those who might have missed the announcement at BlizzCon last year, the Rise of the Necromancer DLC pack will introduce the Necromancer character from Diablo 2 into Diablo 3. However in addition to the introduction of the character, the DLC will also include a non-combat pet, a set of cosmetic wings that players can attach to their characters, a Necromancer themed Banner Shape, Sigil, and Accent, a new Necromancer portrait frame, a pennant, two additional character slots, and two additional stash tabs (this is a PC-only feature).

The DLC will also be released alongside Patch 2.6.0 which is a free update, which will also include Challenge Rift, The Shrouded Moors zone, the Temple of the Firstborn zone, and the Realms of Fate. The patch and its contents are free, but the Rise of the Necromancer DLC will be sold separately for a price of $14.99.

Discord Interested In Working On Nintendo Switch Chat

If you’re a gamer, there are various voice chat services and instant messenger services that you can use that are catered more towards gamers, and Discord is one of them that has risen in popularity in recent times. Now it seems that gamers are hoping that Discord could come up with a solution for the Nintendo Switch.

When asked on Twitter if Discord could create a chat app for the Switch, the developer responded in a way that suggested that they were open to the idea. They then asked gamers to head on over to the Discord website to help upvote the idea where presumably they are trying to gauge how many gamers could be interested in such an idea.

However whether or not Nintendo will allow third-party services such as Discord to exist on the Switch remains to be seen, especially when you consider the fact that Nintendo plans to launch an online service of their own in which they’ll be charging gamers a subscription fee similar to PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live.

At the moment there is no voice chat option for the Switch, but Nintendo did reveal that they are working on a smartphone app that will facilitate this method of communication, something that many gamers don’t seem too enthused about following the reveal of Splatoon 2’s voice chat system which looks rather complicated, but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Uber Will Finally Allow The Tipping Of Its Drivers

Are you pleased with your Uber service and want to tip them? For the longest time ever, tipping was a feature that was never offered inside the Uber app, and passengers who wanted to tip their drivers had to do so manually via cash, which in a way kind of defeats the point of Uber being a mostly cashless system.

However that has changed in an announcement by the company in which they are promising 180 days of change. In an email that they have sent out to drivers, they announced the tipping feature which will be initially launched in Seattle, Minneapolis, and Houston. “We’re starting with only 3 cities so we can create the best tipping experience for you and your riders. We’ll be adding more cities over the next few weeks, and will make tips available to all U.S. drivers, by the end of July 2017.”

Uber points out that service fees will not be deducted from your tips, so whatever you were tipped, you will gain in its entirety. In addition to tipping, Uber also announced that they have shortened the cancellation window from 5 minutes to 2 minutes, meaning that drivers will receive a cancellation fee if a ride is cancelled after 2 minutes of booking.

There is also a wait-time fee where drivers can start earning a per-minute-rate whenever they have to wait for their rider after a 2 minute waiting mark. These are just some of the changes that Uber will be making that is aimed to help improve the lives of their drivers, some of which can impact riders as well, so hit up Uber’s website if you’d like the details.

Tumblr Introduces ‘Safe Mode’ That Helps Hide NSFW Content

It is no secret that Tumblr is host to a ton of NSFW content, which has in the past gotten them blocked in certain countries. Now if you’re someone who doesn’t fancy coming across NSFW content while browsing Tumblr, not to worry as the website has since announced a new feature in the form of “safe mode”.

As its name implies, safe mode will basically see Tumblr attempt to filter out content that might not be safe for work. According to Tumblr, “Safe Mode filters sensitive content in your dashboard and your search results. Maybe you’re happy to see sensitive content when you’re scrolling through Tumblr, maybe you’re not. Safe Mode puts that choice in your hands.”

It is an opt-in feature meaning that if you don’t do anything right now, by default the feature is disabled meaning that your current Tumblr feed will not be changed. Users who want to turn it on will have to go into their settings menu to enable it, so even if you are finding out about this now, your experience will not be affected by it.

The feature is expected to be rolling out to all Tumblr users in the next few days, so if you don’t see it yet not to worry as the settings will eventually find its way to you.

It Looks Like Intel Is Giving Up On Competing With Raspberry Pi

Thanks to inventions like Raspberry Pi, it has become considerably easier for DIY tinkerers to come up with their own computing solutions and gadgets. Granted sometimes it doesn’t have the same polished look or feel as a finished product put out by a bigger company, but the freedom and fun that comes with creating something of your own is hard to beat.

It is also why Intel decided to try and get in on the action by launching their own IoT chipsets and boards, but unfortunately it looks like the company’s efforts have come to an end. In a report from ZDNet, it looks like Intel has killed off quite a few products that are part of its IoT efforts, which includes the Galileo, Joule, and Edison computing modules, giving the impression that maybe Intel might want to focus their resources on other projects.

However developers who are still interested will have until the 16th of September to place their orders, after Intel will no longer be selling them to the public. Shipments of the modules will also be coming to an end on the 16th of December. It does not appear that Intel has given a reason why these product lineups were cancelled, so for now it’s really anyone’s guess as to why this is happening.

Lenovo teases bendable, voice-controlled laptop concept

Although Lenovo, even after its Motorola acquisition, is finding difficulty securing a foothold in the mobile market, it remains the world’s top PC vendor, especially when it comes to laptops. Very Extra 4-Year-Old Outshines Pre-K Class In 'Moana' Performance

Some 4-year-olds are destined to shine.

Sophia Urquijo sang a show-stealing rendition of “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s animated film “Moana” during her preschool graduation ceremony in Miami earlier this month.

As seen in the video above, Sophia stands out among her classmates as she belts out the catchy Disney song with passion, emphasizing her high notes with dramatic arm movements reminiscent of a tiny Whitney Houston.

The class’s performance of the “Moana” song was meant to be a surprise for the graduates’ parents, which made Sophia’s performance even more fun to watch, Michelle Neshin, Sophia’s mom, told “Inside Edition.”

“I was like really shocked,” Neshin, 28, said. “I had no idea it was coming.”

Sophia’s larger-than-life performance has been viewed more than 13 million times since Neshin posted the video on Facebook on June 10.

And if you couldn’t tell from the video, Neshin said that Sophia has a “huge, huge personality.”

“She’s usually spunky and has a corky personality, but that was something else even for her,” Neshin told ABC News.

If you need a little more joy in your day, watch Sophia’s performance one more time in the video below.
