Galaxy Note 8’s Dual Camera Rumored To Be ‘Better’ Than The Rest

Will the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 come with a dual camera system? According to the leaks and rumors, it’s certainly looking that way. In fact Samsung might have hinted at it themselves when during MWC Shanghai, the company unveiled a new Isocell dual camera system which has only served to fuel the speculators.

Now it looks like that particular rumor is gaining momentum as according to a report from SamMobile, an insider has apparently revealed that the Note 8’s dual camera system will be “better” than what is being offered at the moment. It is said that one of the highlights would be its portrait mode where it will offer up better image quality as well as better background defocus, giving more obvious separation between the subject and the background.

It is also rumored to feature dual 13MP sensors, one of them being of the RGB variety, while the other is monochrome, which is similar to what other companies have used in the past, although slightly different from Apple. The iPhone 7 Plus’ camera is different where one camera offers a wide-angle view while the other is zoom, but it will be interesting to see how this works out for Samsung.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we expect that Samsung will probably launch a handset with a dual camera soon. After all it seems to be the rage these days and we’re sure that Samsung won’t want to miss out on it.

It is also powered by Canon’s DIGIC 7 image processor and will support ISO from as low as 100 and go up to 40,000.

Entry-Level Canon Rebel SL2 Announced

As you might have heard, Cano recently announced their latest full-frame DSLR in the form of the EOS 6D MK II. Given its specs and features, it is not surprising that it is pricey, but for amateurs on a budget or the casual photographer, perhaps such high-end specs aren’t necessary.

The good news is that Canon has thought of you guys as well and have also announced the Rebel SL2. For those unfamiliar with Canon’s lineup, the Rebel series of DSLR camera are usually seen as more entry-level/basic DSLRs, but they get the job done and you can use them with any existing Canon lens that you might have lying around the house.

With the Rebel SL2, we’re talking about a camera that features a 24.2MP CMOS APS-C sensor with dual pixel CMOS AF. It will feature a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen LCD display, and is powered by the DIGIC 7 image processor, which by the way is the same processor used in the EOS 6D MK II.

We’re also looking at features such as WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth connectivity, with support for Full HD video capture and external microphone input. It will be released in the later part of July where it will retail for $549.99 for the body only, or alternatively $699.99 with the Canon EF-S 18-55m f/4-5.6 IS STM lens.
