While the Razer Blade Stealth is a solid laptop, that 12.5-inch display is rather confining… especially when you know that there are other small laptops with larger displays. Razer is setting things right, though. It’s introducing a new version of…

With every new generation of console released, the old one gets left behind. This is pretty much true of all technology, but what we’re seeing Microsoft do is try to keep some of its older stuff alive through backwards compatibility, where the Xbox One is capable of playing games from the Xbox 360 and also the original Xbox.
However that’s not where Microsoft wants it to end because speaking to PC Gamer, Xbox chief Phil Spencer seemed to be pretty open to the idea of bringing Xbox emulation onto the PC. When asked if maybe emulation could find its way onto the PC in the future, Spencer replied in the affirmative. However he also noted that due to PCs having varied specs, it makes it slightly more complicated than a console whose specs are fixed.
According to Spencer, “I want people to be able to play games! [Emulation] is hard. [Xbox] 360 specifically is a PowerPC chip, emulated to x86, which is difficult. It’s a little bit easier when you have a fixed spec, when you think about Xbox, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. And you think of the variable specs of the PC space, so you’re taking a fixed-spec PowerPC emulator and then moving it over to run on PC, so there’s a lot of work there.”
While Spencer did not provide any timeframe as to when this emulation feature might happen, he did state that this is in their future, so it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime how do you guys feel about Xbox emulation for the PC?

In 2016, the folks at Konami announced a new Metal Gear game in the form of Metal Gear Survive. What makes this game interesting isn’t so much the gameplay itself, but rather this marks the first Metal Gear title that will be released by Konami following Hideo Kojima leaving the studio.
Unfortunately if you were hoping to get your hands on the game this year and see if maybe Konami has what it takes to carry on the Metal Gear legacy Kojima-less, you will have to wait as the developers have announced during E3 2017 that Metal Gear Survive will be skipping its initial 2017 release and will be released in early 2018 instead.
The company announced that they will need the extra time to polish up the game. They also revealed that it will feature a “dense single-player mode”, so if you wanted more story, you’re in luck. Unfortunately there was no mention of when exactly in 2018 we will see the game, other than it being “early 2018”, so for now gamers will just have to wait and see.
Metal Gear Survive is currently set for a release across multiple platforms which includes the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.

As expected during E3 2017, there were plenty of games that were revealed during the event, but if there was one title that was conspicuously missing, it was Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us 2. The game was officially announced towards the end of 2016, which meant that E3 would have been a perfect venue for the developers to share some updates and show what they’ve got so far.
Obviously that did not happen, and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has since tweeted out an explanation. According to Druckmann’s tweet, basically it sounds like maybe the studio wasn’t quite ready to show what they’ve got. His tweet reads, “Believe me, we’re super excited to show you more of Ellie and Joel’s 2nd journey, but right now it’s Chloe and Nadine’s time to shine.”

It is possible that maybe the game is still in the early stages of development to the point where they might not have anything new beyond what we’ve seen so far. However not all is lost because there are still events like Gamescom and the PlayStation Experience event where Naughty Dog could unveil the goodies.
There is still no release date set for The Last of Us 2, although it does feel like maybe it might be skipping 2017. Details are also scarce, but the initial launch trailer did reveal that the game would be focusing pretty heavily on Ellie, with some speculating that maybe Joel could be dead and that she is talking to a ghost/memory, either way we’ll just have to wait and see how this pans out.

You might have heard that back in April, over in Australia McDonald’s encouraged those who are interested in working for them to submit their applications via Snapchat. It appeared that the feature was only available in Australia at that time, but now it looks like McDonald’s will be bringing that particular hiring practice to the US.
The fast food chain is expected to start sending out direct invites to users today, and for those who are interested, they are welcome to submit a “Snaplication”. The company is aiming to hire workers aged 16-24, which interestingly enough is also the age group in which half of Snapchat’s users belong to. Coincidence? We think not.
There has been talk and some articles to suggest that Snapchat is a communications app that are clearly designed for the younger generation in mind. Its interface isn’t quite as intuitive or as familiar compared to more established messenger apps, and perhaps that’s the point. That being said, the application via Snapchat is only part of the process.
At the end of the day nothing quite beats a good old fashioned face-to-face interview, but at the very least McDonald’s will be grabbing the attention of the younger crowd who may or may not be thinking about getting a job for the summer.

With companies like Samsung, LG, HTC, and Motorola pushing out brand new handsets, one particular company has been rather quiet on that front and it is none other than Sony. The company’s smartphone efforts haven’t been quite on the same level compared to the rest, but it looks like they could still have something up their sleeves.
It has been recently spotted on the User Agent Profile website that Sony might have a couple of devices in the works. The device in question is the G8341 and the G8342, with the latter essentially being the dual SIM variant of the former. The UAProf has revealed that the phone in question will feature a Full HD display and will run on Android 8.0, which is rather interesting as Google has yet to release the update to the masses.
Assuming the listing is accurate, the fact that the handset is sporting a Full HD display is leading us to believe that it is most likely a mid-ranger. After all the majority of flagship smartphones these days are packing QHD screens, and even the OnePlus 5 is rumored to be making the upgrade, so for Sony to stick to Full HD, we’re guessing it might not be flagship quality.
In any case there’s no telling when these alleged handsets will be announced, but IFA is taking place later this year and we’ve seen companies announce new phones then, so maybe we’ll hear from Sony then, if not earlier.

Jimmy Kimmel has transformed Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ testimony on Tuesday into one “the whole family can enjoy.”
The late night host said Sessions seemed to dodge “almost every interesting question” about his alleged contact with Russian officials during the 2016 election campaign before the Senate Intelligence Committee ― and that “made it hard to sit through.”
“So we decided to spice it up,” Kimmel said, who paired up audio from the hearing with “Looney Tunes” footage.
The result is one of the funniest political cartoons of 2017 so far.
