Journalists Face New Limits On Press Access In Covering Congress

Reporters on Capitol Hill are facing alarming new restrictions when trying to interview senators, journalists from multiple media outlets said Tuesday.

NBC News reporter Kasie Hunt tweeted that “reporters at Capitol have been told they are not allow [sic] to film interviews with senators in hallways.”

Reporters have traditionally been able to wait outside meetings and hearings and approach senators with question as they come and go. But now reporters are being told they need permission from the specific senator and the Senate Rules Committee.

If You've Never Cooked With 'Barbecue Butter,' Now Is The Time

Everyone knows that New Orleans is synonymous with great seafood — but what is barbecue shrimp actually? Turns out, at Deanie’s Seafood it means an extremely insane amount of barbecue butter (butter with barbecue spices) melted in a pan before adding in shrimp and lots more barbecue spices on top. We’re talking multiple ice cream scoops of barbecue butter, people.

The move is to go with a big group (the portions are ginormous), and zero in on that BBQ shrimp and the charbroiled oysters topped with parmesan cheese, both signature dishes, and both equally lip-smacking. Pro tip: Don’t wear white because you’ll wreck your favorite shirt (our host Molly Moker learned the hard way) and do take them up on the offer to wear a bib.

Scarlett Johansson Actually Brought Her 72-Year-Old Lookalike To The 'Rough Night' Premiere

Remember Geraldine Dodd? The 72-year-old woman who looked just like Scarlett Johansson when she was younger? The one Johansson herself invited to the “Rough Night” premiere?

The actress followed through with her promise and walked the red carpet with her doppelgänger on Monday night. The two even carried matching clutches, which read, “Hello, my name is Scarlett,” and “Hello, my name is Geraldine.” And just to mess with everyone, they held each others’ names.

Johansson invited Dodd to the premiere after a photo of the woman went viral; her grandson Denver had shared the pic on Reddit.

The resemblance really is uncanny:

When she saw the photo, Johansson responded by posting a video on YouTube, in which she extended an invite to the premiere and even offered to pay for all the expenses.

“I saw that you were, quote, ‘drunk as a skunk’ when you were taking that photo. And I would like to see your drunk face, I want to share a drunk face with you,” she said, adding, “I’ll see you at the bar. Be there, or be square.”

Following Johansson’s response, Dodd told HuffPost via text, “I’m going to drink with her and see if I can drink her under the table.”

We really hope that happened.
