Call Of Duty: WW2 Multiplayer Trailer Promises Thrilling Combat

There’s a lot of anticipation surrounding the latest addition to the long-running Call of Duty franchise. Activision confirmed that the next title is going to be called Call of Duty: WW2 and that it’s going to be based on the events of the second world war. It has finally released the Call of Duty: WW2 multiplayer reveal trailer at E3 2017 so that fans can see what sort of a multiplayer experience this title is going to offer.

Activision released the Call of Duty: WW2 multiplayer reveal trailer during Sony’s E3 2017 press conference. It shows a return to form for the Call of Duty franchise and many fans will argue that this has been much required.

The trailer makes it evident that this isn’t like the Call of Duty games that have been released over the past couple of years. It’s a historical shooter in its own right and seeing the success that EA has reaped with Battlefield 1, it may be very well received as well.

A major change to the multiplayer experience is that instead of creating a class, players will be able to create divisions. This will provide a more realistic experience where the division will be a specialist that has its own set of skills and weapons.

Call of Duty: WW2 is due for release on November 3rd.

The Problem With Kevin Spacey’s 'Coming Out' At The 2017 Tony Awards

Laughter, they say, is the best medicine. But is it always the antidote we need?

Chances are it has rarely, if ever, cured what might ail a young gay person sick with fear while facing the terrifying task of coming out to family and friends.

To be or not to be proudly out of the closet? That is the frequently vomit-inducing question.

If that was the Shakespearean conundrum facing two-time Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey before he hosted the 2017 Tony Awards on Sunday night, he certainly did an Oscar-caliber job of sidestepping it onstage.

The 57-year-old thespian has been followed by gay rumors for much of his A-list run. He’s never outright confirmed or denied them, but he used his hosting platform to indirectly acknowledge them. If he had something to reveal, he never got around to spilling. Instead, he played the rumors – and by extension, his sexuality – for laughs.

During Spacey’s opening routine at the Tonys, Whoopi Goldberg, another Oscar winner whose sexuality has sparked longstanding rumors, stepped out of a closet.

“Whoopi, how long have you been in that closet?” Spacey asked.

“Well, Kevin, it depends on who you ask,” she answered.

Later, the emcee crossed gay icons Norma Desmond and Diana Ross by dressing as the “Sunset Boulevard” diva while singing, “I’m coming out… No, wait, no.”

By most accounts, Spacey was an excellent host, but if those gay rumors are indeed true, he squandered his chance to turn the gig into a golden rainbow-colored opportunity. He could have used his position overseeing what has long been deemed entertainment’s gayest night to reinforce that young closeted viewers don’t have to be ashamed and afraid. They can be openly gay and still thrive. It can indeed get better.

And if those gay rumors aren’t true, then what was the point of the jokes? Were he and Whoopi trying to make a statement about the public’s insatiable desire to know everything about celebrities? It’s something that deserves to be addressed, but not with a few flip jokes at the Tony Awards while millions of gay viewers are watching and celebrating a vital part of their culture.

It’s one thing to play around with sexual preference in order to show what a non-issue it should be, as straight stars like Ryan Reynolds and Harry Styles have done so superbly. (And kudos to Chris Cooper for seeing the humor in Spacey’s joke about their kiss/kill relationship in “American Beauty.”) But his making light of coming out when he hasn’t actually done the work in real life came across as being mostly self-serving while disregarding and disrespecting young closeted gay people who actually struggle with whether to leave the closet behind. It’s like putting on blackface and ignoring that millions of Americans can’t wash off their skin color at the end of the night.

His making light of coming out when he hasn’t actually done the work in real life came across as being mostly self-serving.

Some have suggested that Spacey’s gay innuendo might have been his method of revelation. If so, his continued silence would have been preferable for this fan. The coy wink-wink humor diminished the gravitas of coming out while inadvertently reinforcing the idea that it’s somehow shameful to just say “I’m gay” and be done with it. In these times when America’s disenfranchised are increasingly under attack, implication is not enough. You have to shout it from the rooftop – or the Tonys stage – to truly express your gay pride.

But more than 20 years after Ellen DeGeneres came out on the cover of Time magazine by declaring, “Yep, I’m gay,” those three words remain the hardest ones for some celebrities to say.

Jodie Foster, another two-time Oscar winner also known for a straight-shooting screen persona, said pretty much everything but those three words while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 2013 Golden Globes. She launched weeks worth of watercooler discussion with her unprecedented (for her) openness, but would it have violated her closely guarded privacy to publicly utter those three words?

This is not to say that celebs owe it to complete strangers to put all of their personal stuff into the public domain. But by admitting you’re gay – not dancing around it, but saying it directly – have you actually let anyone into your bedroom? Although I will never approve of forced outing, we can’t normalize being gay if we can’t own it completely. As for those who insist that one’s sexuality is/should be irrelevant, they’re right. Still, they’re oversimplifying something that’s far more complicated than black and white. If it doesn’t matter, then why are young closeted gay people struggling?

If they could hear more celebrities they admire and respect say, “Yep, I’m gay,” perhaps it would make it easier for them to admit it to themselves and to others. A star’s reluctance to say those words out loud can reinforce the doubts and fears of their young closeted fans, most of whom can’t make their own “announcement” by acknowledging their “heroic co-parent” and “ex-partner in love but righteous soul sister in life” at the Golden Globes. If their role models can be comfortable saying they’re gay – not just implying it, suggesting it, and/or joking around it – maybe that can translate as total comfort with being gay, too.

When Ellen came out, she led with humor. (Remember the bit about her Ellen sitcom character being, um, Lebanese, on The Rosie O’Donnell Show in 1996?) Eventually, though, she had the courage and the guts to put her reputation and career on the line in service of the uncensored truth: “Yep, I’m gay.” She didn’t reveal anything more about what goes on in her bedroom by saying it than a pregnant star does when she announces that she and her husband/partner are expecting.

Numerous gay performers have followed Ellen’s lead, and their careers didn’t die. Ricky Martin, Grammy/Oscar winner Sam Smith, and erstwhile Tonys host Neil Patrick Harris are but a few of them. Times have changed in the days since Rock Hudson and Liberace. Coming out is no longer considered career suicide. And it can save lives.

That, to me, will always be more important than hoarding every single detail of one’s personal life or getting a few laughs onstage on awards night.

Trevor Noah Hails Twitter 'King' Trump, Plugs 'Daily Show' Presidential Tweet Library

If anyone doubts the awesome power of President Donald Trump’s tweets, look no further than his travel ban ― which is itself momentarily “banned” by the courts, “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah noted on Monday night.

As Noah points out, one of Trump’s tweets just helped convince the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit not to reinstate Trump’s ban on travel and immigration from six Muslim-majority countries.

The president’s Twitter timeline is so powerful, “it defeats an entire team of White House lawyers,” Noah observed. “All of them were like, ‘Law school!’ Trump was like, ‘140 characters.’”

Trump’s Twitter use also came back to haunt him when he tweeted that former FBI Director James Comey “better hope that there are no ‘tapes’” of their conversations, the “Daily Show” host remarked.

Some of Trump’s spokespeople say Trump’s tweets should be ignored ― but Noah says he has more respect for the president than that: “I take Donald Trump at his word when he tweets.”

In fact, the “Daily Show” is so impressed by the man “basically running the entire country with his thumbs” that it’s created a pop-up presidential library of Trump’s tweets, which will be on display at 3 West 57th Street in Manhattan for three days.

“Let’s just say a certain someone will be able to see it from the window of a certain tower,” Noah teased.

Stephen Colbert Zings Oliver Stone For 'Fawning' Putin Documentary

Maybe if Oliver Stone had interviewed Vladimir Putin the same way Stephen Colbert grilled Stone Monday on “The Late Show,” the director wouldn’t be criticized for “fawning” over the Russian president in his new Showtime documentary “The Putin Interviews.”

After watching a clip of Stone appearing to not follow up on Putin’s assertion that Russia “never interferes with the domestic affairs of other countries,” Colbert reminded Stone that some reviews describe the “Platoon” and “JFK” filmmaker as getting “too cozy” with Putin.

Stone said he had to be polite, but Colbert wasn’t having it.

“That doesn’t seem like an interview, that seems like an opportunity for him to merely propagandize,” the host said.

The somewhat awkward back-and-forth continued with Stone noting that he pressed Putin on a number of issues, including hacking and cyber warfare. But when Stone mentioned Putin’s “calmness” and “courtesy” in the face of being “insulted and abused,” Colbert asked if Stone found anything negative about the Russian leader. “Or does he have your dog in a cage someplace?”

Watch the exchange above.

Trump's Personal Attorney Reportedly Bragged About Getting Rid Of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara

Marc Kasowitz, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in the Russia investigation, has boasted to friends and colleagues that he played a central role in the firing of Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, according to four people familiar with the conversations.

Kasowitz told Trump, “This guy is going to get you,” according to a person familiar with Kasowitz’s account.

Those who know Kasowitz say he is sometimes prone to exaggerating when regaling them with his exploits. But if true, his assertion adds to the mystery surrounding the motive and timing of Bharara’s firing.

New presidents typically ask U.S. attorneys to resign and have the power to fire them. But Trump asked Bharara to stay in his job when they met in November at Trump Tower, as Bharara announced after the meeting.

In early March, Trump reversed himself. He asked all the remaining U.S. attorneys to resign, including Bharara. Bharara, a telegenic prosecutor with a history of taking on powerful politicians, refused and was fired March 11.

As ProPublica previously reported, at the time of Bharara’s firing the Southern District was conducting an investigation into Trump’s secretary of the health and human services, Tom Price.

Kasowitz and the White House did not respond to requests for comment.

Kasowitz became a nationally recognized figure last week, after he acted as Trump’s designated spokesman to respond to former FBI Director James Comey’s landmark Senate testimony.

Kasowitz’s claimed role in the Bharara firing appears to be a sign that the New York lawyer has been inserting himself into matters of governance and not just advising the president on personal legal matters.

Kasowitz has also said in private conversations that Trump asked him to be attorney general, according to four people familiar with the matter. Kasowitz said he turned down the role. Ultimately, Trump decided to give the position to then-Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.

The Southern District of New York conducts some of the highest profile corporate investigations in the country. According to news reports, it is currently probing Fox News over payments made to settle sexual harassment charges against the network’s former chairman, the late Roger Ailes. The office is also looking into Russian money-laundering allegations at Deutsche Bank, Trump’s principal private lender.

Kasowitz has represented Trump over the years on matters including his failed libel lawsuit against a journalist, the Trump University case, and then-candidate Trump’s response to allegations of sexual assault by multiple women last year. Trump retained him to be his personal attorney in the Russia investigation last month.

The New York Times reported Sunday that Kasowitz has advised White House staffers about whether they need personal attorneys, raising conflict of interest questions.

Trump has also turned to Kasowitz’s firm to fill jobs in the administration. David Friedman, a former name partner of the firm, is now ambassador to Israel. Trump considered former senator and Kasowitz Senior Counsel Joseph Lieberman to replace Comey.

One of the names floated to replace Bharara is Edward McNally, a partner at Kasowitz’s law firm. More than three months after Bharara was fired, Trump has not nominated anyone to fill the Southern District job or most of the other U.S. attorney positions.

Bharara’s firing on March 11 came two months before the firing of Comey, head of the FBI. Critics charge that Trump obstructed justice in forcing Comey out.

Comey testified last week that Trump had tried to “create some sort of patronage relationship.” Bharara said in a television interview Sunday that Trump had attempted something similar with him: Comey’s testimony “felt a little bit like déjà vu.”

Chris Harrison Speaks Out Amid 'Bachelor In Paradise' Investigation

function onPlayerReadyVidible(e){‘undefined’!=typeof HPTrack&&HPTrack.Vid.Vidible_track(e)}!function(e,i){if(e.vdb_Player){if(‘object’==typeof commercial_video){var a=”,o=’m.fwsitesection=’+commercial_video.site_and_category;if(a+=o,commercial_video[‘package’]){var c=’&m.fwkeyvalues=sponsorship%3D’+commercial_video[‘package’];a+=c}e.setAttribute(‘vdb_params’,a)}i(e.vdb_Player)}else{var t=arguments.callee;setTimeout(function(){t(e,i)},0)}}(document.getElementById(‘vidible_1’),onPlayerReadyVidible);

As reports about the “allegations of misconduct” that halted production of “Bachelor in Paradise” Season 4 slowly come to light, the show’s host Chris Harrison is attempting to set the record straight.

In a lengthy statement obtained by People, Harrison explained that there are “rumors and misinformation” out there regarding the alleged incident that reportedly happened between two contestants and that the truth will come out following Warner Bros.’ investigation. The longtime ABC host wants viewers to be patient and hopes all can “respect the privacy of the parties involved.”

The full statement reads:

By now, no doubt, you have heard that we have suspended production on this season’s “Bachelor in Paradise.” I can confirm to you that this is sadly the case. Out of respect to all involved, there’s only so much I can and will say at this time. Normally with a situation like this I would not say anything until the incident is fully resolved, but with all the rumors and misinformation being put out there, I don’t find that to be possible anymore.

Let me start by saying the safety and care of the cast and crew of our show is of the utmost importance to us. It is with this thought in mind that we made the decision to suspend filming. An investigation into the situation was started immediately. Warner Bros. is handling the details of that investigation. They’re moving quickly to gather all the facts, and once that’s done, a clear, concise decision can be made about where we go from here.

There are a lot of competing details in the various press accounts of the incident. And there’s a lot of misinformation out there too. We urge everyone to be patient until the investigation is complete.

I know in this day and age we want — and even expect — immediate answers, but in this case, it’s just not possible. So again, I urge you to please be patient and respect the privacy of the parties involved. I will keep you as informed and up to date as I possibly can. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused the cast, the crew and our loyal fans. It is my sincere hope that we can come to a quick resolution on this and get back to work very soon.

News of the incident hit Sunday after Warner Bros. announced that ABC was suspending production on the new season due to “misconduct” on set. The cast, which includes Raven Gates, Robby Hayes and Amanda Stanton, was sent back to the U.S. from Mexico.

“We have suspended production and we are conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations,” Warner Bros. said in a statement. “Once the investigation is complete, we will take appropriate responsive action.”

Following the reveal, reports started emerging detailing an alleged sexual encounter that happened between contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios in a swimming pool. Although neither has spoken out, sources close to each have shared information. But as Harrison said, right now, we don’t know the facts.

Bachelor in Paradise” brings together former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” contestants in Mexico and gives them another shot at finding love on television. Season 4 was set to premiere Aug. 8.

Skull and Bones is the Best Black Flag Spinoff We Could Hope For

E3 is going on right now and one very cool announcement has come from the show already. Ubisoft is working on a new game called Skull and Bones and it’s a pirate game that centers on naval combat. It looks pretty awesome.

The multiplayer action game is based on the ship combat from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. I played that game A LOT and never did I stick to the normal story mode. Nay, I sailed the high seas and blasted the snot out of other ships, and captured and plundered, and enjoyed every second of it. The ship customization offered in that game made what I think was meant to be an ancillary part of the game the main course for me and many other gamers, I’m sure.

Skull and Bones expands on Black Flag’s gameplay, offering up multiplayer action on the high seas, as you must fight off other pirate ships while scrounging up as much loot as possible. You can get a look at some early pre-Alpha gameplay footage from Skull and Bones in the video below:

It looks pretty great, but Skull and Bones is a long way off though, with a launch date of fall 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be in a shared world and you can sail and plunder alone or with friends.
