Ubisoft is expected to launch a new Assassin’s Creed at E3 2017, but some Game Informer subscribers who got their next issue early might already have the details the developer plans to announce. Based on photographs of the magazine posted by HungryGh…
Tonight during the NBA Finals Disney/Marvel dropped the first trailer for next year’s Black Panther movie. Directed by Ryan Coogler, it will be the first flick to take us into the fictional African nation of Wakanda. Chadwick Boseman takes the title…
After not launching a new Assassin’s Creed game in 2016, or at least not part of the main franchise, Ubisoft did confirm last month that a new title was in the works (along with Far Cry), but the question is when will it be released? Thanks to a post on Reddit, it seems that a potential release date might have been revealed.
The post on Reddit shares a couple of images from an upcoming issue of Game Informer magazine in which Assassin’s Creed Origins will be on the cover. Not only does this leak confirm that the game will be known as Assassin’s Creed Origins, but it also confirms the setting of the game which is set in ancient Egypt, and a release date which is apparently for the 27th of October, 2017.
The images revealed quite a bit of information about the game, such as pricing where it will be priced at $59.99 for the standard edition, $69.99 for the Deluxe Pack, and $99.99 for the Gold Edition which is the Deluxe Pack bundled with a season pass. There will also be a $109.99 Gold Steelbook Edition which is everything above along with a steelbook.
It is also reported that the game will feature a new combat system, new AI, and more. There was no mention of multiplayer which seems to be in line with an earlier report. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but perhaps we will find out more about the game at E3 2017 which takes place next week.

If you enjoyed the original Star Wars Battlefront game and are looking forward to the sequel which was announced a couple of months ago, you’ll be pleased to learn that EA has recently confirmed that the game will be getting a beta which means that gamers will be able to try out the game and some of its features ahead of its release.
EA did not provide any specific dates, but the beta is expected to be available during the fall of 2017 where it will be on the PS4, Xbox One, and the PC. The beta will also let players experience the multiplayer aspects of the game, which we guess makes sense since beta access to single-player mode could lead to spoilers, something that we’re sure EA is trying to avoid.
As for those who have pre-ordered the game, as expected there will be some perks. This includes early access to the beta, but exactly how early is anyone’s guess. It could be a couple of weeks, a few days, and etc. In addition to early access, pre-ordering the game will also nab players an upgraded epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card for Yoda, exclusive Star Wars: The Last Jedi outfits for Kylo Ren and Rey, instant access to six hero and starfighter epic Star Cards, and more.
Star Wars Battlefront II is expected to be released on the 17th of November later this year, so if you’re thinking about it, perhaps participating in the beta could help you make your decision.

Thanks to the fact that pretty much every phone released these days comes with a camera, it would be safe to assume that people are taking more photos than before. This also means that over time we start to build up a collection of random photos and it can get very messy, making it hard to find what you are looking for.
However if you’re someone who uses Google Photos, you’ll be pleased to learn that the app will now be smart enough to determine which photos you might want to keep and which you might want to archive. This comes in the form of Google Photos pre-selecting photos for users to review, after which at a touch of a button, these photos will be archived in an instant.
A post on Google+ reads, “To help you quickly find and organize those photos you want to save but don’t necessarily want to often see among your memorable moments, beginning today you may see a suggestion in the Assistant tab with pre-selected photos to help you quickly archive these photos. You can review the suggestions and remove any photos you don’t want archived, and tap to confirm when you’re done.”
This is versus users having to go through each photo individually and manually to decide whether or not to keep them in the main gallery. Like we said over the years you might have built up quite a huge collection so without doubt this will be a lot faster. The feature will be rolling out for iOS and Android devices today as well as for the desktop, so do check it out.

In case you did not know, for the longest time ever Apple’s iPhones used Qualcomm’s modems for its internet connectivity. However starting with last year’s iPhone 7, Apple started to use Intel’s modems as well, so depending on your region, your iPhone could either be sporting an Intel or Qualcomm modem.
It is expected that this mixture will continue with this year’s iPhones, but there’s some bad news. According to a report from Bloomberg, it seems that Apple’s decision to use both Intel and Qualcomm modems will result in iPhones that won’t be able to achieve gigabit download speeds, which apparently is due to Intel’s modems being incapable of achieving those speeds. It is because of that Apple is expected to “limit” Qualcomm’s modem in order to ensure a uniform experience across the board, or so the reports claim.
Now you might have heard that Intel has been working on a new modem that will be capable of reaching 1 gigabit download speeds, but the report from Bloomberg claims that it will not be ready in time for this year’s iPhones, so for now iPhone users won’t be seeing too big of a difference in download speeds.
As Bloomberg points out, this could clash with the marketing plans of carriers who are touting faster network speeds in 2017. It remains to be seen if this will really be the case so take it with a grain of salt for now.

If you’re someone who shops frequently at GameStop or who might have shopped there recently, it might be time to start paying attention to your credit card statements. In a report from Kotaku, they and several readers have received emails from GameStop informing them that their systems were breached and that information such as credit card data might have been stolen.
This comes on the heels of a report from back in April in which GameStop revealed that they were investigating a possible breach, and it looks like this email pretty much confirms it. In a statement provided to Kotaku, “GameStop identified and addressed a potential security incident that was related to transactions made on GameStop’s website during a specific period of time. GameStop mailed notification letters to customers who made purchases during that time frame advising them of the incident and providing information on steps they can take.”
The information that might have been stolen during the breach also includes names of customers and addresses, along with credit card data. This supposedly affects customers who have made an online order with the company between the 10th of August, 2016 until the 9th of February, 2017. It is unclear as to how many customers might have been affected as a result of this breach, so like we said, perhaps it’s time to start monitoring your credit card statements for potential fraudulent activity.

If you have been looking everywhere for good antivirus software then you must be pretty determined to offer your system the proper protection that it needs, which is a good thing. However there is no wasy way of doing this since there are so many options when it comes to antivirus software. It’s pretty hard to tell apart a lot of the good ones from the bad ones and it’s all influenced by the variable of personal needs as well. What it all means is that you risk getting attacked cybernetically if you spend too much time looking for an antivirus rather than using one. We have prepared for you a list of the best tips on how to find great antivirus protection such as BitDefender. Speaking of BitDefender, you can get a BitDefender promo at the moment which is pretty nice. That being said, let’s move onward with the tips.
Try and look for a pretty huge virus database
This is something that you should really pay attention to when you’re searching for antivirus because it might become the factor that defines your entire search. What this means that a lot is riding on whether or not the antivirus you choose is able to handle a great deal of stress as well as keep up to date with all the latest viruses that turn up. If a virus that isn’t in the antivirus software’s database shows itself, the software just won’t know how to deal with it or even detect it in most cases. That of course is not something that you would like to see happen.
Look for additional features
All antivirus options come with what is considered a pretty standard package that include the main scanning function and some extra ones on top. While it’s easy to find a software with a basic set of functionalities, it’s better to look for one that offers some extra features which can come in handy when you least expect it.
Constant updates
Without updates, antivirus software is only relevant for a limited amount of time. This obviously isn’t something that you’d want, so that’s why you must invest from the start in antivirus that receives a lot of updates from its developer. The more updates it gets, the better protected the system is.
Ask someone
Remember that you aren’t the only person alive and there is surely someone you know or nearby you that has also needed to find antivirus software at some point. By asking them what they’ve found you can cut your search short. You can ask friends and relatives, co-workers or even strangers on the internet. Popular platforms online are gathering points for a lot of people. Also look into reviews on different websites for a more educated opinion.
